I didn’t say that he was at the church. I said he was in Chicago. You, however, said:

And it turns out that he was also in Chicago (not Michigan, mind you) on that same day. So, your PROOF that he was not in Chicago is not PROOF and it would appear that in terms of your PROOF you have your HEAD up your God Damned ASS because, you know, airplanes.

Now, as I said, I’m not one to put my faith in Newsmax. But the fact is, Obama was in Chicago on 7/22/07.

Interesting so many posters here think Newmax is trash. i like Newsmax. It is a wireservice grabber just like most newservices on the internet and it does a very good job.

Newsmax emails excellent summaries of breaking medical and science information and their financial emails of Newsmax articles and columns predicted the housing debacle years ago, as well as the coming commodities surge, and the liquidity collapse.

Newsmax is not the Huffington Post. The news they publish is very useful. The economic compendiums I get are packed with a ton of facts, so you can work out the math yourself.

Newsmax opinion writers including Barry Farber, David Limbaugh, Michael Reagan, Edward Koch, Dick Morris, Susan Estrich. They are opinionated but they are not droolers

I enjoy the stuff on global warming and keep many bookmarks.

I have been reading Newsmax for many many years and do not recall this ‘history’ of false reporting mentioned here

I hate to defend Newsmax, because they are a mess, but the facts are what the facts are. And the fact is, Obama was in Chicago that morning.

And 98% of NYT readers don’t know he apologized, and think that the story is true. Mission accomplished.

UPDATE: It goes from bad to worse. The Newsmax reporter now writes that the sermon he was referring to could have been on any given Sunday of July 2007. And Bill Kristol has added the following correction to his column online:

In this column, I cite a report that Sen. Obama had attended services at Trinity Church on July 22, 2007. The Obama camapaign has provided information showing that Sen. Obama did not attend Trinity that day. I regret the error.

I rest my case.
