If words have meaning then why don’t you seem to believe him he says he doesn’t agree with the hateful words of his pastor. Those words apparently don’t seem to count with you.

Oh, Terry. Why on earth would you buy Obama’s lamest-of-all-lame-political-desperation-moves with his condemnation of Wright, whom he has followed as a religious leader for twenty years?

Are you serious? You would put greater weight on his statements in the past 24 hours of a political disaster, than on his actions for the past 20 years? Why? (And youth is not an excuse…)

That’s quite alright, I’m sure ackrite55 learned something that he didn’t quite expect, and now even more people are aware that it wasn’t just white people taking advantage of those unfortunate men in the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment.

I’ve never had a problem with the truth, it’s just the half truth’s that are a problem.

McCain left the Episcopal Church about 15 years ago to join the Phoenix church affiliated with the Southern Baptists. He must have decided he agreed with SBC policies, right?

Yes. It was a despicable thing done to 399 black men by doctors who were both white and black.

Instead of being just sued, the whole lot of doctor’s should have lost their medical credentials and prosecuted as criminals.

No. That’s why Americans have spent half a century fixated on the racial issues in our country and the plight of African Americans. That’s why American has so far put up with the hatred of black racists like Sharpton and Wright, and Farrakhan, etc.That’s why extraordinary preferences were extended to AA in hiring, college admissions, etc.

All of that came to and end during this Pres. election season.

Can you explain why BO and his wife, who have everything and more, who have been the beneficiaries of every kind of largess, would choose to present themselves as victims of racism and to paint Americans as racist?

McCain has been a member of a Phoenix church for the last fifteen years which is affiliated with the Southern Baptists.

Shouldn’t we ask him about these two statements from the Southern Baptist Church’s statement of faith: “A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ.” and “Every Christian should seek to bring industry, government, and society as a whole under the sway of the principles of righteousness, truth, and brotherly love.”

Is McCain’s minister a member of his campaign party as a high level advisor. That’s the position Wright held in Obama’s campaign.

I have no problem questioning the ideals, beliefs, and state of mind of any official advisor of any presidential candidate. If you can find anti American and racially charged comments made by a McCain advisor that holds a position in McCain team, then by all means post it.

A real shocka that the mainstream media has not showed the utter hypocracy of his spoken word and with whom he associates. His barbs could just as easily applied to his own pastor.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) – Sen. Barack Obama told a church convention Saturday that some right- wing evangelical leaders have exploited and politicized religious beliefs in an effort to sow division.

“Somehow, somewhere along the way, faith stopped being used to bring us together and started being used to drive us apart. It got hijacked,” the Democratic presidential candidate said in remarks prepared for delivery before the national meeting of the United Church of Christ.

“Part of it’s because of the so-called leaders of the Christian Right, who’ve been all too eager to exploit what divides us,” the Illinois senator said.

“At every opportunity, they’ve told evangelical Christians that Democrats disrespect their values and dislike their church, while suggesting to the rest of the country that religious Americans care only about issues like abortion and gay marriage, school prayer and intelligent design,” according to an advance copy of his speech.

“There was even a time when the Christian Coalition determined that its number one legislative priority was tax cuts for the rich,” Obama said. “I don’t know what Bible they’re reading, but it doesn’t jibe with my version.”

Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ, a church of about 1.2 million members that is considered one the most liberal of the mainline Protestant groups.

In 1972, the church was the first to ordain an openly gay man. Two years ago, the church endorsed same-sex marriage, the largest Christian denomination to do so. Obama believes that states should decide whether to allow gay marriage, and he opposes a constitutional amendment against it.

Conservative Christian bloggers have linked Obama to what they call the “unbiblical” teachings of his church. Theological conservatives believe gay relationships violate Scripture, while more liberal Christians emphasize the Bible’s social justice teachings.

Obama trails Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York by 33 percent to 21 percent in the most recent Associated Press-Ipsos poll among Democrats and those leaning toward the party.

Democrats will tell you that we live in a Democracy. That is a lie.

We live in a Constitutional Republic. We live by the rule of law, not by the rule of the mob. Yes, we elect our representatives democratically (sort-of), but that alone does not make this country a Democracy.

Never lose sight of the fact that we live in a Republic.

There are two reasons socialist liberals don’t like the Pledge of Allegiance…those two reasons are bolded below:

Those who can believe such tripe from a candidate must be pathologically delusional. I do not see the slightest rational/common sense arguement Obama made in this 6 minute clip to persuade otherwise, that he himself has “moved on” or is in any position whatsoever to unite Americans.

Divert/re-direct the fatal issue? Yes, indeed. That what the clear purpose of the “forces of division have started to raise their ugly heads again” statement.

Oh, the bankruptcy of the Democratic Party.
