Translation: They’ll sue those who criticize Islam or use their freedom of speech in ways not approved by Islamic leaders.
Somebody get the camera! Hunny? Come in here! The U.N. is actually doing something productive! *Pinching its cheeks* Yes, you are. Yes, you are!

I heard that Code Pink is up and ready to help with this cause. Let me be the first donate $1.00 towards their transportation to Senegal. How much does a cardboard canoe go for these days?

Interesting that they don’t wish to include defamation or blasphemy against Christianity or Judaism as a wrong.
Why not include those religions too?

Last time i checked it was them trying to kill us.

Because in the eyes of those leaders, it’s not. Anti-semitism? Fine. Print a picture of Allah? Get sued or worse.
amerpundit on March 14, 2008 at 10:56 PM
I hope Denmark will retaliate by taking legal actions against those Muslim nations that allowed the Danish flag with its Christian cross to be burned and defaced in public. Many Nordic Christians were grossly offended that their sacred symbol was abused in this way.
Pax americana on March 14, 2008 at 10:56 PM
Knock yourselves out guys. Good luck with that ‘legal instrument.’ We’ll still crank out cartoons mocking your most deeply held beliefs. Life is tough. Get a helmet.

Those “other” religions are only recognized as a pool for the entertainment (public beheadings/stonings, etc) of the defenseless, downtrodden Islamofacists.
NightmareOnKStreet on March 14, 2008 at 11:02 PM
It also shows – which is I why I mentioned it – the fraudulency of their concerns about defaming or blaspheming religion.

Well what the H!LL is new, there Jihad is taking it’s

they can put up a few more hundred years in the legal

This is almost orwellian all by itself, you say boo about

A phobia is an irrational fear.
Given all the terrorism, atrocities, murders, “honor killings”, suppression of women, suppression of other religions that Muslims have committed in the name of Islam, including recently, and all around tizzy fits at any criticism of them and/or Islam, and with all indications being that they will continue doing such and that they would like to do even more, far more, any fear of Islam is clearly not irrational.
It therefor follows, and clearly so, that the term Islamophobia is nonsensical and is essentially a self contained non sequitur only used by complete cretins.
The real “phobia” with regard to Islam is the fear of Muslims that the truth will be told about Islam and it’s founder, their “Perfect man”, AKA the murdering, thieving, torturing pedophile POS.
MB4 on March 14, 2008 at 11:24 PM
OK, let me make sure I got this straight…
– Kill my daughter in the spirit of “honor” is just Okie Dokie.
– Drawing a cartoon making fun of anything Islam is bad, very very bad.
After giving it serious thought, I don’t think I’ll convert cause you people are crazy….
Hog Wild on March 14, 2008 at 11:30 PM
Heh, I can’t wait for them to support a drive to amend our constitution to accommodate them…hi, hi, ha, ha…that’ll wake a few Americans up, one hopes.

The 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:
Islam is the official religion of the State and it is a fundamental source of legislation. No law that contradicts the established provisions of Islam may be established.
MB4 on March 14, 2008 at 11:47 PM
What I like about this whole thing is that informed people are seeing Islam for what it is. I wonder if Muslims are seeing the same thing and are ready to “embrace change.”
Mojave Mark on March 14, 2008 at 11:51 PM
Luckily the inbreeding is taking it’s toll on the muslim population and soon they will all be crazy and unable to make any rational decisions, so they will be easy to spot…Oh wait…

Yes, they are. But you won’t like their interpretation of it.
freevillage on March 14, 2008 at 11:59 PM
The change they are thinking about is that they would like to change the distance between your infidel shoulders and your infidel head!
MB4 on March 15, 2008 at 12:02 AM
I, or rather the Lord, beseech you as Christ’s heralds to publish this everywhere and to persuade all people of whatever rank, foot-soldiers and knights, poor and rich, to carry aid promptly to those Christians and to destroy that vile race from the lands of our friends. I say this to those who are present, it is meant also for those who are absent. Moreover, Christ commands it.
- Pope Urban II
MB4 on March 15, 2008 at 12:06 AM
Look, speaking of basic (as in fundamental) theology, I don’t think Islam is much worse than Christianity. Bible can be easily interpreted as a justification for atrocities and in history it has been. However,
The Western civilization is unquestionably much more secular. Even in the US people will discard most of what’s written in it. And we are in agreement on other things that are more important. Like, if somebody says anything, you can’t use violence against them. This should be imperative.
Europe is losing understanding of this basic thing. They think Muslim violence can be excused. I don’t support all attacks on Islam. But if one says something vile and another person uses violence, it’s the latter that fundamentally threatens our society. The former we could deal with.
freevillage on March 15, 2008 at 12:13 AM

Does Islam thin your skin? Or is a fully developed thin skin a necessary qualification for entry to the Ummah?
The
chicken and the eggquestion is no longer operative. The operative question is now: which came first, Islam, or the thin skin?shaken on March 15, 2008 at 12:18 AM
And whom is to say what is vile and how they are to be dealt with.
I am rather partial to the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution myself.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Blasphemy is a victimless “crime”.
MB4 on March 15, 2008 at 12:23 AM
I’m not saying I support any form of censorship. But I guess you will agree that absence of censorship does not imply, for instance, absence of societal pressure. My only point is even if people find the speech deeply objectionable they should understand that violence is orders of magnitude more objectionable.
freevillage on March 15, 2008 at 12:25 AM
You don’t understand! KILLING is okay; DRAWING CARTOONS, not so much.
NightmareOnKStreet on March 15, 2008 at 12:27 AM
Between cartoons and murder, they don’t make orders of magnitude that high.

NightmareOnKStreet on March 15, 2008 at 12:46 AM
Holy Mary Mother of God….
Let’s simplify things a bit, shall we?
There is a natural order of things in nature. There is the hunted and there are the hunters. Fact of life, get used to it.
Before language evolved, violence was how things were resolved. Survival of the fittest. Not a bad rule unless you were unfit. But, the underdog had a chance.
I’m trying not to ramble. So I’ll tie up the loose ends quickly.
When talking fails, every country on the planet resorts to violence to impose their will. In this country everyone has free speech, which I think is a good thing. But not all free speech carries the same weight. For instance, someone who has never contributed to the country’s well being and critcizes the country at every turn (Michelle Obama, for instance)but has a platform to speak from is also free to be criticized by those who chose to serve. However, the main stream media chooses that which is fit to print, and our MSM is biased in a bad way.
So who is being censored?
I would like to have the same platform as Michelle Obama because I have some free speech I would like to be heard as well.

You know, oddly enough this quote reminded me of the elder leaders on the old BattleStar Galactica. They were so empty headed and dumb that nearly at every opportunity, they wanted to either surrender to the Cylons or made policy that ensured the Cylons would win. It always took Adm Adama stepping in and having to clean up the mess, fix the screw up, stop the Cylons, and save the day.
How bad is it when one is a work of fiction and the other was a television show from the 70’s.

It has been crystal clear to anyone with eyes open that from day 1, Sept. 11 2001, the “progressives” of the world have wanted – wanted – al-Qaeda to succeed. That this is psychotic does not make it any less true. Their bottom line is that the USA must never, under any circumsances, win a military campaign, and everything flows from that.

There is a book written by a psychiatrist (Not Michael Savage) that argues that liberalism is a mental disorder.

I don’t think so. I think many, if not most of those on the left hear this type of twisted thinking and nod their heads in agreement. They’re like sheep being led down their own twisted path of logic to the slaughterhouse. Just before their throats are slit, they’ll bleat out, “But I feel for you! I’m on your side!”
