No need to go for the obvious joke, guys. Ed already got there.

This must’ve been a candidate too, from her MySpace page:

“what destroys me, strengthens me.”

How long until she signs a record deal, or shows up on American Idol?

No obvious jokes…I’m outta business.

Ms. Dupré said by telephone Tuesday night that she was worried about how she would pay her rent since the man she was living with “walked out on me” after she discovered he had fathered two children. She said she was considering working at a friend’s restaurant or, once her apartment lease expires, moving back with her family in New Jersey “to relax.”

Instead, she followed the career path of having sex with rich men for loads of money.

amerpundit on March 12, 2008 at 11:14 PM

Man I now have Rick James “Super Freak” lyrics in my head.

Shes a very kinky girl… They kind you dont bring home to mother..”

Dude…Totally hadn’t seen the context of the Quote of the Day.

Her mom? Dude… Her mom?

In a series of telephone interviews on Tuesday night, she said she had slept very little with no clients over the past week, with all the stress of the case.

She is a very bright girl

I am sure it must have been a tough decision for her then.
1) Go work at a McDonald’s to medical school on a full scholarship.
2) Sleep with men twice her age.

TheBigOldDog on March 12, 2008 at 11:34 PM

She left a broken home …

What, our liberal media is becoming pro-family all of a sudden? Isn’t that the subtext? The first relevant fact we are offered about her is a murky family history… our empathy for her thereby solicited because we all know that stability of the nuclear family is… is… um, is…

Whores reporting on whores, I suppose.

To be fair, those people were victimized by his lying and selfish behavior, not by the fact that he slept with a hooker. If his wife knew and was OK with it, and he hadn’t used public funds, then yes, it would be victimless. But then we already have laws to cover those behaviors.

Do you think his wife and family would agree? I know plenty of selfish liars who don’t have to resign from office in disgrace over it. I know plenty of selfish liars who aren’t facing federal indictment because of it. Being a selfish liar isn’t a crime. Sleeping with prostitutes is. Funding illegal enterprises through money laundering is. Transporting prostitutes over state lines is.

“Musical” talent can take you a long way in America.

Late in the evening out in Times Square
A man holding a raincoat standing there

We met by the lamp where the newsboy cried
He gave me lots money with his laughing eyes

He smiled as we climbed the stairs to his hotel room
I blushed when he asked are you traveling far soon

The next time we met his coins shined bright
We walked and we talked ’til the evening was night

He took me dancing we danced under the sheets
No happier customer despite his hollow cheeks

I felt like a queen and he was my king
He borrowed some taxpayer money to pay for our fling

But now I’m still alone and the cards are all down
I’ve taken his money and skipped out of town

Now when I pass the place where we always met
I’m wondering if I could get more money than I usually get

Though fickle is my heart and my mom foolishly proud
I still keep on looking for Johns when out in a crowd

For a man in raincoat is Spitzer standing there
With laughing eyes and balding brown hair

She probably doesn’t deserve that much sympathy, paid thousands of dollars for sex, I wonder what kind of numbers her 1040 form has on it?

She’s unlikely to be that much of a fallen angel, she knew what she was doing and it wasn’t an honest living.

What part of illegal doesn’t she understand?

Just like you can clean up a pig and put it in a palace, and in the end it’s still a pig. A prostitute can be glamorously dressed and receive up to 15,000.00 a night, however, in the end she is still a whore!!
And her client, a selfish pervert!!

What, our liberal media is becoming pro-family all of a sudden?

I think the intimation is that families are bad and lead someone to this.

Maybe I’m getting old and am just an old fogie but as I look at that girl, and if anyone out there deals with 22 year olds in business or in their personal life they know the overwhelmimg majority of 22 years olds are just kids, it makes me very sad for my country. The MTV generation will rule this country shortly, for a short period, and then we can probably expect sharia.

peacenprosperity on March 13, 2008 at 6:18 AM

I haven’t read most of the comments because I am generally agitated after looking at Drudge’s info on “Kristen.” What I want to say is this, did Eliot look down on “Kristen” while he was banging away and wonder “why isn’t this young woman in college?” Did he remark how close in age she was to his DAUGHTERS? Did he contemplate the circumstances that made this 22 year old choose to enter room 871 or whatever the number was and gird up her loins enough to be prepared for someone who might want to engage in nasty sex? “Look Dude, do you want the sex?”
MY GOD. Sure, legally, she is a consenting adult. For all of the “let’s legalize prostitution” people, I suggest they read her bio and note she states she left home at 17, was involved in some abuse, did drugs, essentially she engaged in all the quintessential American “Lost Lamb being sucked into the vortex activities of societal SMUT” career track only available to children who don’t have parents that stay on them every minute and sheild them.
I have a 21 year old daughter who is a brunette with many of the attributes of this young woman. She attends an expensive college and I have the loans to prove it. Yesterday, she emailed me with pride because in her Victorian Poetry class, she had successfully guided the class through a dissection of Ellizabeth Barrett Brownings ‘Aurora Leigh.’ I had just finished reading “Kristen’s” profile and I was overwhelmed by the comparision and felt sad for this young, beautiful girl, who so yearns to have it all, ie: to live in a highrise apt in NY with a health club on site, she is willing to service Eliot, “Lurch” Spitzer. How can he ever “work for the common good?” He is part of the reason the “common good” is so elusive..

He makes me sick. I hope they throw the book at him. I hope he spends 5 years in jail taking it in the behind…

djl130 on March 13, 2008 at 6:51 AM

YUP! I can tell by her photo that she is “a very bright girl”…

jimbo2008 on March 13, 2008 at 6:52 AM

Thank you media for another screwup.

The media hype seems to focus on how women can make $$$$ tax free when we all know that this lifestyle is a step above life in a crackhouse. The media paints a story of quick money and lots of it and how the Spitzer is the hypocritical john to a theme of “men are pigs and young women are smart money makers.”

The fact is Spitzer is a weak man that should not be running a family, much less a state. And his paid sex partners? Duh. They are whores. No matter how much green paper they stuff in their…purses, they are just simple whores.

But, the media gives us these glitzy pictures, stacks of money. Disgusting.

I really feel for the Spitzer women and girls. These people deserve better than Mr. Spitzer for a husband and dad.

saved on March 13, 2008 at 7:15 AM

Comparing her photos it looks like she’s been spending some of that money she’s been working her @ss off for (pun intended) on plastic surgery. Definitely two noses there.

My recomendation is to get the tramp stamp lasered off. Tuff to pull off the heiress aura with the prison tat screaming “HO!” while reaching to sip the Moet & Chandon White Star.

she is the unwitting, and as yet unseen, star of the seamy drama

Clue as to how the media will play this out and how she’ll see herself, oooooh, I’m a “Star”!

Alden Pyle on March 13, 2008 at 7:27 AM

Did Spitzer pay her SSI and NYS Disability Ins, and worker’s comp, health insurance, FUTA, etc? Did he withhold payroll taxes from her wages at the proper rate, and by the due date?

I own a little business here in the Empire State, and they are pretty strict about those things.

Did he even bother to send her a 1099???

JiangxiDad on March 13, 2008 at 7:28 AM

I really feel for the Spitzer women and girls.

Probably the best thing that could happen to this girl is that she is charged with tax evasion, has the book thrown at her and spends a few months in prison. What probably will happen is that she will get immunity, a show on MTV, unwittingly further poison our culture, fade away after a few years and go back to her chosen profession.

peacenprosperity on March 13, 2008 at 7:31 AM

I’m guessing the little “X” tattoo on her right hand is so she knows right from left.

Or is it a target…

Well, I had to. Sorry.

The remake of “You, Me, and Dupree”, only Dupree is a woman!

But why has this girl’s identity been made public? After bringing down a governor, wouldn’t she want to shamefully fade into oblivion? Or does she want to be the next Monica Lewinsky?

I am sure that is way down on the list of what she does not know.

A “hard-knock-life” does not a genius make. Wearing it as a badge of honor while making such choices is hardly as impressive as she would like people to believe.

Tim Burton on March 13, 2008 at 2:49 AM

Yes she is…every liberal knows that whatever they want, it is worth the price for us to pay.
We are the ones who paid for her, not him, he is living off the public doles (yeah I know he is wealthy, but he is employed by the people). So, as any liberal believes, we are there to service their needs and whims.
Who are the real whores? Her or the people who voted for him?
Give him what he wants, so we can get from the government what we want.

No, girlie, you just sleep with married men for money and help ruin their lives and their families (can’t let the johns get away with nothing).

So, you couldn’t take some of that money and go to something like nail salon school or whatever and try to get out and make an honest living?

I have very little sympathy.
