Meet “Kristen”; Update: $100,000 for her story?

My favorite liberal’s been haranguing me over e-mail about how prostitution is rarely a choice in any meaningful sense and why we need to crack down to keep more wayward girls from broken homes from wandering into “careers” they don’t really want. KP 1, AP 0?

She left a broken home on the Jersey Shore at 17 and came to New York City to work the nightclubs as a rhythm and blues singer. Now, at 22, she is the unwitting, and as yet unseen, star of the seamy drama that is the downfall of Gov. Eliot Spitzer of New York…

“I just don’t want to be thought of as a monster,” the woman said as she told the tiniest tidbits of her story. Born Ashley Youmans but now known as Ashley Alexandra Dupre, she spoke softly and with good humor as she added with significant understatement: “This has been a very difficult time. It is complicated.”…

Ms. Dupre said on by telephone Tuesday night that she was worried about how she would pay her rent since the man she was living with “walked out on me” after she discovered he had fathered two children. She said she was considering working at a friend’s restaurant or, once her apartment lease expires, moving back in with her family in New Jersey “to relax.”…

She left “a broken family” at age 17, having been abused, according to the MySpace page, and has used drugs, “been broke and homeless.”

She’ll be able to re-up with that lease once the Enquirer comes calling. Here’s her MySpace page, which is linked directly by the Times. Exit question equal time: The Today Show took a decidedly more libertarian view of high-priced call girls this morning. What would the breakdown have to be between exploited victims and truly willing volunteers to justify a total ban on the practice? 51/49? 80/20? 99/1?

Update: Jossip says “Extra” leads the bidding for her story at $100,000.

Update: Here’s her bio page on the music site Amie Street. Check out who one of her “fans” is on the lower left.

I think if you’re paying to have sex, you probably don’t care about her education credentials.

malan89 on March 12, 2008 at 7:48 PM

$1.00 for the sex
$4,999.00 for the (Spitzer) discretion

Entelechy on March 13, 2008 at 1:07 AM

The sad part is that she doesn’t look all that hot and sings like s—.

Travis1 on March 13, 2008 at 1:15 AM

Please provide a link. I don’t see the word “inappropriate” anywhere in the transcript I found.

Red Pill on March 13, 2008 at 12:34 AM

Please go away. You’ve repeatedly demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are not to be taken seriously as a remotely intelligent human being.

Hollowpoint on March 13, 2008 at 1:21 AM

Hollowpoint on March 13, 2008 at 1:21 AM

…and you’re a summa cum laude graduate from a top 10 university, right?

Intelligent human beings back up their claims, when requested.

I said:

Will someone please have the backbone to ask John McCain if his relationship with Vicki was ever sexual or inappropriate in any way?

You said:

He’s been asked and has answered that very question.

I asked you to provide a link proving he’s been asked and has answered that very question. Instead of providing a link you ask me to “Please go away.” That is a sign of intellectual weakness. Intelligent human beings enjoy a good debate. Those on the other end of the IQ scale enjoy insulting other people and then telling them to go away.

Back up your claim or back off your claim. Don’t resort to sophomoric insults.

Red Pill on March 13, 2008 at 1:43 AM

100,000 won’t get you squat with anyone

You have had better than this:

If you are going to claim something like that, pony up a picture or a myspace page. She is VERY attractive, and you think you have had better than her because you look down on her for her profession.

muyoso on March 12, 2008 at 10:21 PM

well, im too old for myspace, so i wont run over there and join for ya, but yes, i can think of 3 girlfriends better looking than her. Im from Southern Connecticut, i dont know what they produce down in Mississippi or Arkansas, but we do just fine around these parts. yea, i stand by it, shes an average looking girl around here.

Dude, don’t you watch the news? I spent about 60 seconds finding that.

Nonsense. Kristen’s problem isn’t that she comes from a broken home, it’s that she’s lazy. It looks like she’s been living off the generosity of men, or trading on her looks if you prefer, since she dropped out of high school. I don’t see where she’s ever worked a day in her life. She wants to be a party girl, she wants to be a singer, she wants to be treated to the finer things, but apparently she doesn’t want to get a frigging job or an education. That is her choice and it is meaningful. It’s just a bad choice and one she wouldn’t have had the luxury of making if she were ugly. So unless the argument is “Being pretty made me do it” it’s a load of crap.

Pablo on March 13, 2008 at 8:12 AM

“She only plans on doing this for a few years.”

DUH! How many guys are going to pay top dollar for a cougar when they can get a kitten?
.
“She hopes to retire by 30.”

She will be lucky to live to 30. One’s conscience starts to bother you, and rather than dieing, it just grows stronger. To defeat that pain, you turn to drugs. That becomes a dependency, costing every penny of the half million she made last year…counting drug rehab, lawyer fees, drug money, and fines. Then, if she makes it to 30, she realizes she made a wreck of her body, and tries to get out.
.
Yet, her pimp, or escort service agent, knows he can make a few more dollars from her but not as much as she once made. So, he refuses to let her out of her “contract”. By forty, she has become a horrible shell of the person she was as a social worker.
.
By that time, clinical depression sets in, and becomes a social security client, where we pay for health care and medicine and even a monthly stipend.
.
The reason I know this to be true is because I know people who have done it.

Why does anyone give a crap about this whore’s life story?

All of a sudden everybody’s leaving Britney alone. That’s gotta hurt.

Funny she has all these glamor shots…looks like she’s really pleased with her look and she has to b–w guys to eat.

Dude, the link you provided is the same one that I provided. Remember that Clinton said, “I did not have sex with that woman”, but then later was forced (by the blue dress DNA evidence) to admit that, “I did have a relationship that was inappropriate”.

My point is that the transcript that both you and I linked to does not contain any question or answer including the word “inappropriate”.

I firmly believe that McCain is parsing words just like Bill Clinton did. The look in Mrs. McCain’s eyes is a dead giveaway. She was looking at her husband with the same look Mrs. Spitzer had towards her husband.

I don’t know what you call it, but I call John McCain and Vicki Iseman spending time together on private chartered flights, with no one else on board except the pilots, extremely inappropriate.

Several people from his 2000 staff are on record as saying that they were trying to keep her away from him. He lied about that at the press conference, too.

Red Pill on March 13, 2008 at 10:48 AM

If Hillary gets the Democrat nomination, her hitting McCain with fresh evidence of his infidelity as her “October surprise” (sinking McCain and springboarding her to the Presidency with or without Obama supporters) would be the sweetest of revenge for her.

Don’t shoot the messenger. Vet our Republican nominee properly now, or risk losing the general election in November.

Someone please ask McCain if his relationship with Vicki Iseman was “inappropriate” in any way.

Red Pill on March 13, 2008 at 10:54 AM

My point is that the transcript that both you and I linked to does not contain any question or answer including the word “inappropriate”.

And?

QUESTION: No staffer was ever concerned about a possible romantic relationship?

MCCAIN: If they were, they didn’t communicate that to me.

QUESTION: Did you ever have such relationship?

MCCAIN: No.

It says what it says, which is that there was no romantic relationship between the two according to McCain. The presence or absence of the word “inappropriate” is irrelevant. If you’re that concerned with the verbiage of the question, shouldn’t you want some bold, truthy journo to ask “Senator McCain, did you ever f**k her?” And would you the answer if the question was “Did you ever poke her?”

Pablo on March 13, 2008 at 11:03 AM

edit: **dismiss the answer**

The primary on our side is over, as is the time for “vetting” our candidate. Even your boy Huckabee has seen the writing on the wall at this point. McCain has dealt with this in an effective manner, and likening this to Spitzer’s crime is abject slander.

phronesis on March 13, 2008 at 11:18 AM

Someone please ask McCain if his relationship with Vicki Iseman was “inappropriate” in any way.

Red Pill on March 13, 2008 at 10:54 AM

By the tone of your statement “in any way”, shows that you will be the ultimate decider as to what was inappropriate. So no matter how he answers, you will deny it was appropriate. You have already jumped to the conclusion that being in a private jet is inappropriate, or at least suspicious. You are the type to convict without evidence.
Here is my suggestion, rather than asking (since you won’t believe his answer), find the evidence then show us.
In this country you don’t have to prove your innocence, that is presumed. So make the presumption that McCain is innocent of “inappropriate” behavior until you have something more then; she is young, she was on a plane alone, etc.
So here is my statement about you…I say you are a child rapist, now prove that you are not…have you ever been alone with a child, have you ever held a child that could be deemed “inappropriately” (like powdering them, or cleaning their genital area), have you ever touched a child in a private area? Have you ever thought about sexual relations with a child…You haven’t? Prove it.
See how the pointed finger works??? If that bothers you, you may actually be a child rapist (being exposed), and if that doesn’t bother you, you may be one because of your indifference.
So don’t post here you child rapist…

You both go way overboard.

All I am saying is use the language that Bill Clinton was forced to use to finally admit the truth!

Don’t give him “wiggle room”.

Sure, he said they did not have a “romantic” relationship.

I’m sure that if asked the same question, without any other convicting evidence, Eliot Spitzer would have responded that he and “Kristen” did not have a “romantic” relationship.

Get the point?

I am not on a witch hunt. I’m trying to protect our party. If we don’t ask him this question now, the Democrats will use it to their advantage in October.

Count on it.

It would be the sweetest of revenge for Hillary Clinton.

There is no need to get vulgar about it. Simply ask John McCain if he, like Bill Clinton, had an “inappropriate” relationship.

As Forrest Gump said,

That’s all I have to say about that.

I told you we don’t want child rapists to post here. You never answered any of my questions, I am assuming (and by your definition, words are not enough) that you are. I do not want to give you “wiggle room”.
I am just “protecting” Hot Air from rapists like you, I am not on a “witch hunt”. We need to find out now before you keep posting.
I am simply asking, have you had “inappropriate” relations with a child.

right2bright on March 13, 2008 at 12:08 PM

Dude…transvestite?

Al-Ozarka on March 13, 2008 at 2:32 PM

I think the question that NJ “Kristen” should answer is:
What exit are you from?
I think the question that Silda Wall Spitzer, elitist greenie, should answer is:
Why did you think your husband should have stayed in POWER?

Branch Rickey on March 13, 2008 at 5:39 PM

All I am saying is use the language that Bill Clinton was forced to use to finally admit the truth!

Oh yeah. I forgot the mad Hoodoo that accompanies the word “inappropriate.” How silly of me. Or of you, as it were.

Pablo on March 13, 2008 at 9:04 PM

BTW, in what language does inappropriate translate to “semen stained blue dress?”

Pablo on March 13, 2008 at 9:05 PM

“the gals were happy, the guys were happy, everyone was happy”… and that is why the girl will “retire” after 2 years and not make it a lifelong career.

jimbo2008 on March 14, 2008 at 7:55 AM

$1.00 for the sex
$4,999.00 for the (Spitzer) discretion

A corrupt politician forced out of office – priceless.
