Video: Is there any party like a Clinton party? No, indeed there is not

In which Her Majesty’s common touch and deep connection with young voters is conclusively proved. Not since Silda Spitzer took the long walk to the podium with Steamroller yesterday has there been a moment quite this painfully awkward. Actually, no — I take that back. Without even poignancy to rescue it, this is worse, isn’t it?

Even so, I simply can’t abide the boss taking potshots at our gal, on whom we’re depending to halt the Great Liberal Hope. You’re begging for a work stoppage here, Malkin.

I seem to remember a clip of Reagan in a church clapping out of time and it was played over and over again. Let’s see if they do the same to Her Majesty.

lorien1973 on March 11, 2008 at 10:17 PM

Wow, all of those young schoolgirls in their cute little uniforms, hundreds of them.

In other news, Billy Jeff did not attend this event, they sent him to meet with the coal miners.

fogw on March 11, 2008 at 10:18 PM

You’ve hear of those ‘Demotivational Posters’? Yes? That was the video version.

Funneh, I did a post on some of her visit to Scranton area (no, I’m not in Scranton, but most of the local news stations are based in Scranton), the crowd didn’t look to enthused from what I saw, I think they did a live feed of the rally, I watched her blather for a few minutes, and decided my time was better spent playing Smash Bros. Brawl…

Aaw shucks, it wasn’t that bad

Baphomet on March 11, 2008 at 10:20 PM

Oh, crap…they kept saying “ho”. Sharpton will be on FOXNews tomorrow night whining.

In related news, Billy Jeff was handcuffed to a chair in the janitor’s closet by the Secret Service.

Well, its just another stop for Hillary to endure on her
fast paced race to become the most powerfull woman in all
the universe.

Umm,not sure,but SNL,churches,and schools are okay to
campaign in or is it just a problem if Republicans were
to do it!

Nice pants suit.

Slick Willie’s willie must’ve been slick watching Glacier get her groove on.

Who let the squirrels out?

mksmithwriter on March 11, 2008 at 10:51 PM

Those poor kids.

This looks like one of those things that teenagers do and they think it is really cool at the time, but years later will see how truly dorky it is, and the video will haunt them at every reunion, every wedding shower, every major event.

p40tiger on March 11, 2008 at 10:52 PM

There she goes looking human again.

carbon_footprint on March 11, 2008 at 10:55 PM

I can’t stand Hil, but why do we make our candidates do this stuff?…..Maybe it’s because we know they will get even eventually….

thatcher on March 11, 2008 at 11:06 PM

I once watched “Last House on the Left” alone in an old victorian house. Pipes rattling, strange noises, fear. Watching that chilled me to the bone. I will not sleep well tonight.

AYNBLAND on March 11, 2008 at 11:21 PM

That was stupid and she sucks.

hilary’s inner dialogue:

okay, remember to smile….smile with the kids….smile for the cameras….good lord when will this be over?….who signed off on this?….ooh, here we go, they’re winding down….closer….closer….almost finished…..

“Alright!”

whoops, they’re still going….how much friggin longer do I have to stand here?…..ugggghhhhh, my feet are killing me…..

Her timing was off, she looked uncomfortable, she thought the “song” ended when it hadn’t. Other than that, it was fine.

Ordinary1 on March 11, 2008 at 11:30 PM

I have less rhythm now than ever before in my previously, relatively graceful life, thanks to watching that.

Thanks AP. You da man.

Who among us doesn’t enjoy being serenaded by a chorus of rhythmically clapping and chanting younglings? Ho!

Am I turning into a liberal? I can’t believe I noticed that it was almost all girls, & only one kid who’s not lily-white.

No, you’re not necessarily a liberal. Just suffering from LRC, liberalism-related complex.

Dr. Manhattan on March 12, 2008 at 1:58 AM

I counted exactly 2 black people in that video: 1 very unenthusiastic in the far background, and one making up for him and the rest of the black community. And they did a rap…

This was a moment a skilled campaign would have avoided. It puts the “I only wear my own hat” moment well into perspective.

askheaves on March 12, 2008 at 3:31 AM

I don’t care where you’re from – that was funny!

Fishoutofwater on March 12, 2008 at 3:35 AM

Five words I had hoped to complete my lifetime without ever having to hear, “Watch Hillary do her thing…”

(shudder)

Thanks. Thanks a lot.

Nice one.

I actually feel for Hillary here (what is the world coming to?) as I know that I would just just as awkward and uncomfortable among all those singing kids.

The perils of being a politician.

Jay Mac on March 12, 2008 at 6:57 AM

WHAT!!! they ruined one of my favorite songs from when I was younger!(S Club by S Club 7)!

sko17 on March 12, 2008 at 7:50 AM

The Yoots of America all love Hillary. Or at least the white kids in show choir do.

(Meanwhile Bill sits on the side lines thinking, “I would do that one, no, no, that one, oh yeah that one, no, no……”)

Hening on March 12, 2008 at 8:02 AM

The girls definitely seemed more into it than the few guys in the group.

25% Huh? It looks to me like they all have the clap :^)

db on March 12, 2008 at 8:40 AM

Can’t believe I actually watched that!

Hillary will be the Dem nominee; Obama is starting to figure this out… The ugly is about to get really ugly… This from Redstate.

If Obama loses PENN

Then there is no way he’ll get the nomination. Tonight in Mississippi the real victory went to Clinton. How? AP reports that she won 70% of the white vote. This shows a clear backlash against the clear racism shown by black voters who are going 90% for Obama.

The DNC and Democratic party insiders know he has no chance of carrying the southern states in the GE if this trend continues. Couple that with the fact that he has not won a single battleground state and you would be looking at one of the weakest candidates ever put up for a presidential race. McCain will blow him out in a landslide.

How will the DNC put an end to this? Shortly after PENN they will announce they are seating the Florida and Michigan voters as is. This will make the Obamaniacs freak out but they’ll cool off by the time the convention rolls around. Obama will either accept an ‘offer you can’t refuse’ deal for VP or the Democrats will finish his political career behind closed doors and he will be back teaching university after his senate career is cut short.

I don’t agree with the “Obamaniacs freak out but they’ll cool off by the time the convention rolls around” statement. Much of black America will get a well deserved wake-up call with this, and will see clearly how white Elitist Liberals have been using them for decades upon decades. I say “well deserved” only because the Democrat Party have successfully gotten away with throwing black America a few bones each election cycle, which has been good enough to gather 90% of the black vote. Shame on black Americans for being so easily fooled.

Well said. When “Miss Hillary” gets the nomination, expect the (mentally) enslaved people to leave the plantation.

Hey… she should start a musical group, The Hillary Youth.
Chelsea would have been a better mix to that epic seranade.
Is it intentional, the empathy factor, is it some great pity me stategy? Appearance after appearance, I have to continually stop myself from feeling sorry for her.
