Hillary’s alleged foreign-policy experience based on lies, says … Sinbad?

Who are you going to believe, Hillary Clinton or a guy known mainly for playing a mailman in “Jingle All the Way”?
Clinton, during a late December campaign appearance in Iowa, described a hair-raising corkscrew landing in war-torn Bosnia, a trip she took with her then-teenage daughter, Chelsea. “They said there might be sniper fire,” Clinton said.
Threat of bullets? Sinbad doesn’t remember that, either.
“I never felt that I was in a dangerous position. I never felt being in a sense of peril, or ‘Oh, God, I hope I’m going to be OK when I get out of this helicopter or when I get out of his tank.’”
In her Iowa stump speech, Clinton also said, “We used to say in the White House that if a place is too dangerous, too small or too poor, send the First Lady.”
Say what? As Sinbad put it: “What kind of president would say, ‘Hey, man, I can’t go ’cause I might get shot so I’m going to send my wife…oh, and take a guitar player and a comedian with you.’”
Ignore the fact that her big claim to “experience” here is not getting shot while sitting in a plane and read down to the end of the WaPo piece for a nice comeback by Team Hillary and a bit of nuance about how much danger Sinbad really thought he was in on that trip. Who’s telling the truth, Sinbad now or Sinbad then? Politico knows the answer!
And now that I’ve gotten your attention with this dopey post, forget Sinbad and go read this devastating — devastating — memo at Obama’s website from one of Bill Clinton’s right-hand men at State about what an absolute zero (and liar, natch) Her Majesty is when it comes to foreign-policy experience. No wonder Pelosi says an Obama/Clinton ticket is “impossible”: Who’d want a link as weak as Hillary on the ticket in wartime?

I thought Sinbad was dead?

Sinbad. Lookin’ for a job!

Lies Lies lies
Don’t believe anyone who tells you that Hillary was entertaining Foreign Heads of States’ wives in the White House, and that’s why she got her ‘foreign policy’ experience.
I don’t believe it. You shouldn’t.
But I do believe that once Hillary becomes President, all the wives of the Heads of States who are visiting the White House will be locked up in a secret underground room, away from Bill Clinton.
Indy Conservative on March 11, 2008 at 5:45 PM
I actually met him once when he was shopping at a store I was working at back in my retail slave days. Pretty cool guy, very down-to-earth. I’d believe him over the Hildebeast.
ErikTheRed on March 11, 2008 at 5:47 PM
He doesn’t actually debunk Hillary’s claim that there could be sniper fire. He just claims now, being an Obama supporter, that he didn’t feel he was in danger.
Sinbad, whose real name is David Adkins, served in the U.S. Air Force aboard a KC-135 Stratotanker. He was almost dishonorably discharged for going AWOL multiple times, and was eventually ejected for, what he claimed to be, “parking my car in the wrong position”.

What is more sad than the constant lies from Hillary are the fact that nearly half of the dimocrats don’t think the truth even matters anymore. Their ethics reflect whatever it takes to say or do to steal the most important position in the country. If you never know if someone is lying or not, what can you base your perception of reality if nothing is what it seems?

I disagree with Hotair’s premise completely.
Who are you going to believe, Hillary Clinton or a guy known mainly for playing a mailman in “Jingle All the Way”?
I think I remember him best from the professor-turned-football-player in “Unnecessary Roughness”.
rihar on March 11, 2008 at 5:51 PM
I remember him from that cosby show spinoff where he was a college professor or something.
lorien1973 on March 11, 2008 at 5:53 PM
Wow- I’m going to have to take resume’ padding lessons from Hillary. Picking out the drapes, having feel-good lunches with other wives, touring with Sinbad- if that counts as foriegn policy experience, there’s no way I shouldn’t be able to BS my way to a better job.
Hollowpoint on March 11, 2008 at 5:53 PM
The contradiction can be easily explained …….
Sinbad was forced to sit in the cargo bay.
Hillary was co-pilot.
You get a quite different perspective on events from those two different positions.

By the way, who is Sinbad?
I don’t feel like googling.
In other news, Bill Clinton issued this statement:
“Good evening. It came to my attention that a commenter by the name of ‘Indy Conservative’ is using my name in an unholy manner, spreading lies about my person and conducting a smear campaign across the Internet to discredit my reputation. I hereby denounce that person and deny any allegations of wrongdoing. I do agree that Hillary should follow the example of the Netherlands which allowed people to have sex in public parks and set a model to our American cities by allowing ‘Sex Freedom’ in the Rose Garden under my supervision as Director of Activities. Thank you. Please vote for my wife. May God Bless The Netherlands.”
Indy Conservative on March 11, 2008 at 5:58 PM
Heh. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a few dozen pounds ago.
baldilocks on March 11, 2008 at 5:59 PM
Sinbad is an Obama supporter too, fwiw.
I’d tell you, but I don’t feel like typing.
Spirit of 1776 on March 11, 2008 at 6:02 PM
I’m sorry, maybe I’ve got it wrong.
Are we saying that Sinbad’s the one with all of the Foreign Experience over both Hillary & Barack?
HarryStar on March 11, 2008 at 6:03 PM
It’s A Different World, y’know?
Frozen Tex on March 11, 2008 at 6:04 PM
Well, that settles it for me. Any chances of me voting for Clinton go out the window.
If she loses the orange comedian vote, it’s over.
SteveMG on March 11, 2008 at 6:12 PM
He was the guy’s dorm counselor and had the hots for Kadeeja.
ihasurnominashun on March 11, 2008 at 6:20 PM
Hello? What about Houseguest?
Phil Hartman and Sinbad in one movie.
Delightfully hilarious.
Dorvillian on March 11, 2008 at 6:23 PM
A black celebrity trying to derail Hillary? Gee. I wonder why? Hmmm.
SoulGlo on March 11, 2008 at 6:24 PM
The wrong comedian is dead, IMO.
Frozen Tex on March 11, 2008 at 6:26 PM
That’s what I was going to say. A Different World. I had to look it up.
Esthier on March 11, 2008 at 6:27 PM
Always respected Sinbad as a standup comedian because he made it a point to keep it clean.
baldilocks on March 11, 2008 at 6:27 PM
AND bonus, I think he is/was very funny.
Spirit of 1776 on March 11, 2008 at 6:37 PM
I thought Bill sent Sinbad to keep Hillary from hitting on Sheryl Crow?
Chuck Schick on March 11, 2008 at 6:39 PM
True. And his bits about receiving corporal punishment as a kid and how grandmothers “have no job but always have money” are classics.
SECOND LOOK AT SINBAD FOR VP!
ScottMcC on March 11, 2008 at 6:51 PM
I’ve met him a couple of times at the airport and around town. He was always very friendly and polite.
Blake on March 11, 2008 at 7:17 PM
Hillary is not interested in foriegn matters in a conventional sense. Rather, her single goal is the broad and destructive socialization of America. That end goal is where America becomes just like one of the foriegn counties she so admires.
As eloquent as this statement might be, I guess Barak is pretty much cut from the same cloth. Oh well, the heck with ‘em both.
joeyb1955 on March 11, 2008 at 7:26 PM
He was funnier in House Guest. ‘course, he had Phil Hartman too.
jeffNWV on March 11, 2008 at 7:44 PM
DROP YO’ BUTT AND RUUUUUUN!!!!
I love Sinbad. Clean comedy. His standup routine in Atlanta was absolutely hilarious.
robblefarian on March 11, 2008 at 8:27 PM
Amen robblefarian,
Sinbad is great. Clean comedy.
I’ll take him over any others with their trash talk.
Texyank on March 11, 2008 at 9:23 PM
Ouch. That’s gonna leave a mark.
As for Sheryl Crow, how come no one is using her song, “A Change Would Do You Good.”?
Ordinary1 on March 11, 2008 at 11:40 PM
I thought he was known mainly for his role on A Different World?
Gerard on March 12, 2008 at 3:05 PM
He was at my college graduation ceremony as an observer ((”please no pics or autographs, I’m here for my wife”)). His wife at the time, graduated with my same Major. Regular Joe.
