Maybe I don’t understand. Are we disagreeing that Democrats play/vote racial politics? Because I don’t disagree.

Obama has only made it this far because of his race (and because of his party affiliation), whether he chooses to play the race card or not. I’d like to think that if he was Republican, he’d've been laughed out of the race by now, hopefully by Republicans and not just the media.

In fact, I agree that he wouldn’t even have entered the race if he wasn’t black, so he is, in fact, playing the race card. He knows if he was white he would have been laughed out of the race. He knew he was going to get favorable press. Isn’t that playing the race card?

Per your earlier post on this, Ed, how in the world is she being racist, crypto-racist, or any other -ist, besides sour grapist? Or hypocritical, since she was only a VP candidate because of her lack of a penis?

I think the measure of an Italian man (who is an American first) should be judged by the Robert Oppenheimer Chair recipient, as Professor Gregor has sat in this honorary chair for many years. He is a cold warrior. American first, Anglophilic by nature, and Italian a distant third.

There are very few people smarter than you or me, and someone like Gregor is one of them. He is too old to read this, but God bless him.

The reason I said that is because my chemo made me loopy, nasty and at times emotional to the point of breakdown.

She has years on me, I thought it could be the chemo and her impending senility.

I don’t think she is loopy at all. The modern left’s entire existence is premised upon genitals (unaltered or surgically modified), melanin content (or lack thereof, also see Obama denying his white half), epicanthic eyefolds, phenotypic darkness which attracts guilty whites who vote, and the imminent marxian cult of personality (and kinky hair). Gerry could run as a Republican, and her position is to the Right of the author of this post.

The racialism of Obama’s campaign has not gone unnoticed by Geraldine. My grandfather named his cat “Gerry” after her back in 1984 because he identified with her “Blue Dog” plainspeak and social policy, which is now much further Right than our current contender, our beloved Juanita. My grandfather fought in Tinian, Saipan and Guadalcanal, and he loved this woman. I believe Gerry actually has more balls than Juanita or Ed Morrisey.

Actually, Ferraro was Walter Mondale’s running mate, not Dukakas’s (sp).

Regardless of whether it’s fair or not, whites don’t make a sympathetic victim class, so Ferraro’s whining does nothing to further her cause — and makes her sound like a bigot.

In a lot of ways I have to agree with the old lady, much as I hate to admit it. Obama certainly isn’t running his strong policy positions; he has none, and his supporters don’t give a rip. What’s left to discuss?

My point is further proven by the 91% black vote Obama got in MS tonight? His race, or rather his supposed race, is most definitely one of the primary reasons he’s winning.

The difference between them is that Obama has mostly eschewed that approach for his campaign, preferring to run as a candidate who happens to be black rather than as a black candidate.
