The English teacher asked her class:

"The BBC have a poll about Iran. Can anyone explain just
what a BBC poll is?"

Bright young student:

"Ma'am, is it an example of the word: Oxymoron?"

Nobody is worrying about Iran nuking the US. Also, if you think that most Arabs give a rat's ass about the Pali's beyond their utility as a stick to beat on the Israelis with, you're probably wrong. I would be shocked if a majority of Arabs wouldn't sacrifice every living Palestinian to eliminate Israel. In fact, I believe they'd see it as a plus.

Unlike some, I don't think Iran is champing at the bit to nuke anyone. I think they just want the nukes to enhance their gravitas. Would anyone take Pakistan seriously without the nukes? The danger is that, once they have them, some real or imagined provocation might incite them to use it.

Something doesn't seem quite right about Iran's quest for nukes. Once they have them, they won't wait until their missiles are good enough to reach the USA, Nor will they attack Israel, as that would irradiate the Palestinians also - with the obvious backlash from both Israel and most Arab States.
The conclusion that seems the most logical to me is that they intend to target Israel and the Arab States - at one and the same time. Not that they will attack, mind you, only target - as in blackmail. It is the only way that they could become the premier power in the region without being destroyed in the process.

8% support military strikes against Iran?

10% of Americans support military strikes?

It's not America that's alone, it's the people who want military strikes against Iran who are.

With numbers like that, I doubt even Bush will pull the trigger...and risk checking in to Slobo's cell.

I’ll leave you to follow the link to see what the exception is and offer any hunches as to why.

Mexico. Their way of thanking us for allowing so many of their citizens to just move in. In the prelude to the Iraq war, Mexico was one of the countries that hesitated to support the US, and Jay Leno joked that 'normally, they are always crossing the fence, but here, the one time we want them to cross over, they are sitting on it'.

Nice work, Whore-hey Boosh, Juan Senile McVain, Hitlery Clintoon and Barak <strike>Osama</strike> Obama - you certainly know how to choose our friends.

Too bad we can't invade Mexico and deport all Mexicans to Iran - that sure would get rid of our border problem, and enable all Americans who are losing their homes to move there and get new property at rock bottom prices, as well as actually steal their oil. Also, once the deportations are complete, that alone could start a <strike>crusade</strike> <strike>jihad</strike> Muslim-Christian civil war.

With one exception, the shift towards “softer measures” against Tehran doesn’t exceed 18 points in any country. I’ll leave you to follow the link to see what the exception is and offer any hunches as to why.

Mexico figures the only way to win support for moving their entire population here is to allow Iran to irradiate half the US population? Dang if I know.

A blind dog could find the Iranian nukes.

The whole thing stinks so obviously.

The ayatollahs only need to know that:

they and their line will end

if they do not control their urge toward the Apocalpyse.

We play for keeps... even with fools.

Well, China is desperate to curry favor ahead of the Olympics later this year. But Mexico, maybe they're more afraid of Hugo's alliance with Iran than I thought.

When Russia says they're being tough with Iran it means they asked for a few more bucks to build their nuclear weapons for them.

Russia hates the USA Russia hates the muslims

Give the muslims a few nukes to destroy American cities...then watch as the USA nukes the muslims.

Then they get a whole new continent to control(USA) and they get to control the majority of oil in the world. Problem solved.

It's Hillary's dream scenario, she gets to turn the USA communist without lifting a finger.

I guess no one remembers little events like this.....

That's OK, we have a missle defense sheild that can blow missles out of the sky.

What do they have?

Liberal Political Correctness, Understanding, and Tolerance.

I am sure that will keep them and their children safe.

BBC world poll: Most countries giving up on trying to stop Iranian nukes

Let them have it.

It's a lost cause anyway.

After giving up their land and culture to Islam, what else do you expect from the Europeans? A Crusade?

Crusades age is over. Now it's surrender time.

Fallon's out at CentCom and Cheney's in the Gulf, but you think things are softening? You're blogging about the wind Allah. It's the lightening I'm looking for when I read you. We need more light and less blow. Keep digging.

Of course, on the bright side, seems like the more unpopular an idea is, the more Bush is willing to entertain it (yuk-yuk).

but what’s to explain the change in Chinese opinion? They’ve been covering Iran’s six in the Security Council since the great nuke kabuki began.

And what happened to the story of Russia now being on board with getting "tough" on Iran; or have we just defined down what "getting tough" means?

Muslim insurgencies in China ? They dont want a bomb going off there either.

Wish the Russians were as smart but they dont fear a nuke because they wont debate a conterstrike. Iran wont have a capital (or other cities) if a Nuke hits a Russian city and it has tehran's fingerprints on it.
