Video: The grudging yet obligatory “Hillary on the Daily Show” post
posted at 9:15 am on March 4, 2008 by Allahpundit
Magnificent in its relentless awfulness, starting with the bad satellite hook-up and proceeding downhill from there, as Stewart once again demonstrates his capacity to eschew tough questions and instead “sniff the throne” of a Democratic presidential candidate who’s in his hot seat. (I know, I know, he’s “just a comedian.”) Not even an attack from the left here, mind you — nothing on her Iraq vote, nothing on the occasional racial nuance to bubble out of the Clinton camp vis-a-vis Obama. Didn’t they think to feed her even a few one-liners, the way Letterman always does?

Blowback

What is this Daily Show and who is Stewart.
I can’t keep track of this stuff.

That guy is a serious douchebag, of Olbermannian proportions.

Hillary is no longer human. She is the most contrived human being on the face of the earth. She has mentally and physically became a robot of prepared text and cosmetic advancement of genius proportions.

She looks like a chipmunk with those cheeks.

Classic!
Other than that.. oddly awkward. She seemed even more stilted than normal.

Stewart kisses so much liberal boo-tay he must have a case of Chapstick under his “news” desk.

Ahahahaha. That’s true. That woman is about as funny as a heart attack. Anyway, I hope she beats Barack today.

David Letterman seems almost libidinous in his sycophancy to aging liberal ladies like Hillary and Jane Fonda. With Hillary, Dave telegraphs his political support and with Jane Fonda he telegraphs his attraction to her. He probably is thinking of Barbarella. Jon Stewart just seems like a goofball. He and other liberal comedians just don’t know what to do about Hillary. She is still a liberal icon but she is no longer cool. Barack is cool and with Barack guys like Stewart can feed off Barack’s cool. With Hillary, Jon Stewart is simply lost.

I appreciate that this is a free country, and I am not obligated to click on those videos.

I thought it was a good idea to be on his show. I don’t watch his show nor am I a liberal, but thought it was funny that she said it was “pathetic” that she was talking to him before the primary.
I don’t like Letterman and maybe that’s part of my disagreeing with some here.
Jon is who he is as is Hillary and I didn’t watch either video in full but appreciated the fact that Jon interviewed her and she agreed.

I don’t know what’s worse– her cackle or his whiny/giggly school girl laugh at the beginning. Eech.

She had me at “pathetic”, she… moves… me…
It does seem at this point she should ease up on the talking points(who hasn’t heard ‘em) and try being appealing with a sense of humor, it’s more likable than the BushBashing. Just when I thought it would be off the cuff she starts with that “a president who cares”, “repair the damage Bush has done crapp’e”.

Was she drunk? Eh, maybe she was tired. I’m sure she is.

She looked like she’d been up since 3:00am.
