Exit polls are just starting to trickle in. Nothing yet by way of hard data but — surprise — voters in both Texas and Ohio find Obama to be more electable, per Fox News. We’ve had the first reports of dirty tricks too, courtesy of pro-Hillary TalkLeft. And Huck is complaining about the lack of energy on behalf of McCain among the GOP base, even as Maverick prepares to put him to sleep tonight and turn his attention fully to the, ahem, purple states.
Ed and I are going to try to co-liveblog it via the Cover It Live widget below. (Thanks to Patrick Ishmael for the tip.) It’s our first time using it so bear with us. Things should heat up starting at 7 p.m. ET. While you wait, enjoy the results of this poll suggesting whom voters really trust at 3 a.m. Exit quotation one: “I didn’t get my hands dirty making all those good things happen in the ’90s.” Exit quotation two: America is a country that’s “just downright mean.”

How long has he been there? Has anything changed since he got elected? has he raised millions in campiagn money? you think no skids got greased with those campiagn funds? You thing he cut no deals for his vote? If you believe that then I have this bridge for sell. Really cheap price…

More reports from North Texas of voters being turned away from polls in Lewisville, Carrolton, and Dallas.
If this stays close lawyers in Texas will be very happy.

Uh, Obama, would you mind, then, having a word with your not-so-proud wife?

In case you haven’t looked around lately, evil is in no way hiding anywhere anymore. I keep waiting for the denouncements, but more than half our country seem to actually embrace it. Helping give them the rest of the power they seek seems suicidal. I’m not suicidal and I don’t think I’m alone.
I cannot crash the country to prove a point. Especially when the media is the propaganda arm of the dem party. We have very little opportunity to get our message out as it is.
I see and understand and respect your point. I just don’t agree with it.

terryannonline on March 4, 2008 at 11:55 PM
That’s the point. He doesn’t have anything to say. In his brief political career, his schtick has been exactly the same.
He gave the same “goat herder” speech when he ran for IL and US Senate seats.
He energizes his “followers” by preaching understanding and acceptance … well, acceptance in so much that the gov’t accepts to take care of you since you can’t possibly take care of yourself.
Reminds me of when Homer ran for Sanitation Manager: Won’t Someone Else Do It?
Who will take out your stinkables?

HOPE AND CHANGE decided to pull an Al Gore tonight in Ohio. He wanted to keep the urban areas open that got heavy rain, but not lower Ohio that is some places is still under water. If I were the Clintons I’d make a commercial just on that one f up.
THE CHOSEN ONE on March 4, 2008 at 11:58 PM
The most brilliant line all night was Hillary’s:
“we will turn HOPE into REALITY!”
That was a MASTERSTROKE of political speech, verbally GUTTING Obama’s empty “Hope” Rhetoric……
You gotta give the girl, or at least her writer’s CREDIT for that line.
Question: Why didn’t McCain come up with this brilliant touche’?
grtflmark on March 4, 2008 at 11:58 PM
Man I just checked ohio my County went for Obama big at 57% of the vote. I knew I felt like I didnt fit in here lol
William Amos on March 4, 2008 at 11:58 PM
I don’t know if he’ll accept. She will have won it without the black vote, and it’s too much like plantation Hillary keeping the black guy in his place, and that’s how a lot of black folks will see it. At least that’s my prediction based soley on anecdotal evidence. There is a lot of anger out there towards the Clintons after what Bill did in SC.

techno_barbarian on March 4, 2008 at 11:54 PM
we will have to agree to disagree then. As a final parting shot I give you an example of Eastern europe. It was not until 50 years of evil reigning over them that people denounced it. Some evil is easily seen and rejected like in Anbar, some take time for people to understand its scope. Liberlism took 40 years of power to be shown for the evil that it was. The rule of the elites took only the last 4 years to show itself. Give the elites alittle more time and the majority of people will reject it. then we can only hope they reject it for a greater good instead of evil lite.

Me, more worried about terrorists from the Northern border; it’s McVain who sold out his country for cheap labor and non-security of this republic (Not the Republic of Mexico); it’s you who will be eating crow election day if you think Hitlery is going to let an OLD MAN beat her anymore than a rookie. You gotta be a lobbyist on McShame’s staff to not understand that….

Dear John McCain,
Do nothing, say nothing for the next six months. Just sit back and watch the show that is the Democrat circular firing squad.

fogw on March 5, 2008 at 12:14 AM
I wish I could join in your revelry. Obama is already peaking, has no experience, says insane things about both domestic and foreign policy matters.
He would lose independents to McCain. Hillary is starting to win with the experience factor, she may be able to blur the lines between herself and McCain.
Then again, a Hillary nomination would send a lot of people to the polls that have been harping about staying home.
I’m just not comfortable with her being in striking distance.

You got me all wrong, oh dense one. I don’t give a rat’s rear about the POTUS because all three remaining candidates suck beyond belief (and that is not “painful” to me but disappointing that the US electorate is as dumb as the polling suggests - like you for example). I have a lovely life and am not tied to who wins (although, all three have me diving for my wallet and my Bill of Rights). Whoopideedoo.
