Video: Billy Jeff campaigns for Obama

In which we find The Boy Who Cried “Fearmonger” devoured by his own weaselly nonsense from 2004. This is satisfying in precisely the same way watching him and Hillary get demagogued by phony charges of racism has been so satisfying these past few months. In the Democratic lexicon, “fearmongering” is defined as apprehension of a threat plus the suggestion that your opponent wouldn’t be as steadfast in meeting it as you would — neither part of which is or should be objectionable except insofar as leftists are usually the subject of it, which naturally renders it horribly unfair. BJ wagged his finger at Bush four years ago for daring to use it against Kerry and his “global test,” and now here are the Obamites a-wagging right on back. Reap the whirlwind, chump.

The second clip is included for context, to remind you what sorts of threats some on the left regarded historically as trumped-up and certainly not responsive to a muscular wingnut foreign policy.

That’s a good one. the best part is that as a strategy for the Dems, it’s a loser in the general.

Ouch, that’s gonna leave a mark. BTW, that finger wag worked for the Clintons for years and years, so it’s no wonder they still believe it should.

I can’t bear to see what happens next. (get it? bear? *crickets*….)

“Billy Jeff……. Reap the whirlwind, chump.”

Oh, the sweet, sweet smell of schadenfreude on a Sunday. There is nothing like it.

Billy Jeff campaigns for Obama

Once the dim nom is settled, probably soon now, Billy Jeff probably actually will be campaigning for Obama.

I wonder if Rush Limbaugh will ever really campaign for Juan McCain. And if he did would McCain make Rush wear a clown suit?

From 2002 -

After comparing Mr. Limbaugh to a “circus clown,” the Arizona Republican [John McCain]apologized. “I regret that statement,” he told an interviewer on Fox News the other night, “because my office has been flooded with angry phone calls from circus clowns all over America. They resent that comparison, and so I would like to extend my apologies to Bozo, Chuckles and Krusty.”

I think Clinton gets a pass on this one from me, because Obama doesn’t fit the criteria he described there. Clinton said you should vote for one who wants to you “think and hope”, but Obama is demanding thoughtlessness.

Reagan, 1980… that was about thought and hope.

DaveS on March 2, 2008 at 3:06 PM

Obama is a mirror for his acolytes thoughts and hopes – he is thoughtless himself.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, his minions will see that his future is not hopeless.

Didn’t watch, (what would be the point?) but Clinton looks good. Compliments to his embalmer.

I doubt very much that Rush would campaign for any liberal republican in conservative grey flannel suits. However, I think he would support the republican candidate as appose to the unabashedly socialist liberal democrats. That said, watching the democrats eat themselves could be a dish served as cold leftovers if conservatives are not careful to learn from this feeding frenzy between OB and HC.

What? Whoever made the second video didn’t include “Daisy”?

What? Whoever made the second video didn’t include “Daisy”?

Wayne Clark on March 2, 2008 at 3:49 PM

That one was from a Democrat, LBJ, so it would have ruined their point about the mean eeevil Republicans.

rockbend on March 2, 2008 at 4:02 PM

Thanks, Bill.

Sen. McCain wants you to think critically before jumping into public policy decisions.

Sen. McCain wants you to hope for “Public support for a child’s education follows that child into the school the parent chooses” and “that money spent by Congress, and contributed by hardworking American taxpayers, is used wisely and prudently on legitimate national priorities, not squandered on wasteful pet projects and special interest earmarks.” Among other things… for he will mobilize America for the good fights ahead.

Sen. McCain, as everybody knows, can handle with great poise and character the 3 AM call.

We want McCain(-Geller? -Malkin? -Ingraham?). We deserve a President McCain. We can’t afford Obama-Clinton.

Right. The question, “Who do you want answering the phone?” is a legitimate question. But Shillary isn’t the one. Nor Osamabama.

Mac has some shortcoming, but if we can keep the pressure on like we did with shamnesty, I think we can keep him on track.

And I don’t have a problem with his answering the phone.

Funny thing with those campaign vids is this: who won in 1984 and 2004? Clue: the Democrats were not persuasive.

Pax americana on March 2, 2008 at 6:33 PM

“You’d better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope.”

Then is there a none of the above option?

Liberals can think and hope,is it really possible
they can!

canopfor on March 2, 2008 at 8:31 PM

GEEEEEZ don’t you people get it…what was said in the past doesn’t count and/or wasn’t really said, you must have misheard. The Clintons couldn’t be hypocrites could they? NAH, perish the thought.

That’s a fine definition, Allah.

BJ Bill wants a Cabinet post or a Seat on the US Supreme Court. Quid Pro Quo is an even swap in his mind.

Hillary will try to hold her seat in the Senate.

With the sleazy Clinton Machine broken, they may end up milking book deals, speaking where fools will pay them for lies and I will still be laughing.

BJ Bill wants a Cabinet post or a Seat on the US Supreme Court.

That made me spit out my coffee but then I thought why not? Have a perjuror on the SC would be a novelty, and it would definitely be all about ‘change’ and ‘audacity’./
