Video: Time for some more musical Obama hagiography from will.i.am

An evolution in the Messiah’s cult of personality: Where before the apostles sang the words of the master in ecstatic praise, now they’re content to chant his holy name and gaze adoringly at giant posters of him. I like the fact that they start off talking about policy and then just sort of give up as the chanting takes hold and the platitudes issueth forth. And to think, Hillary calls him a blank slate onto which people can project whatever they want. Takeaway line: “I would like to see us in a world without fear.”
Exit question experiment: Try chanting along with them. See if it makes you want to give up on Iraq.

History repeats itself. First as [semi-relevant-political-meme], second as farce.

disgusting.

I stopped halfway because this is just stupid. This is cheesier than the Ron Paul cult of personality.

THE GREAT BLACK HOPE = OBAMA. He is/can be everything to everyone. Isn’t that the quintessential liberal?
jimbo2008 on February 29, 2008 at 12:47 PM
Sigh, Messianic BS, it is sad that a man who has such wonderful natural gifts has become what he has.

That was terrible. Creepy too.
And Jessica Alba is pushing it. First “Good Luck Chuck” and now this?

Chanting along made me dizzy. But then I realized that today being February 29th All politicians are being paid what they deserve. Absolutely Nothing. So now I’m smiling.

I kept watching, because I was sure we’d have an airhead saying “I personally believe, we, as U.S. Americans…”
Corky on February 29, 2008 at 12:49 PM
Hence why Hillary and McCain can’t beat this “movement”.
The past two decades have seen the youth and the rest of American society being fed MTV garbage, the schools teach “evilution” and that humans came from monkeys and mud, they teach “global warming” and other fantasies, perversion and murder of innocence is legalized…
Parents want to be their children’s “friend” and no one is the adult…
Is it REALLY a surprise that America is dragging itself into the grave without the help of Islamic Terrorist????

After watching that, it may be awhile before I can stand up…

I don’t think will.i.am is doing Obama any favors with this stuff. It just adds to the “his supporters are kind of creepy” storyline.

Vote for O-Ba-Ma…and live in a clean, fear-free world.
The Spanish was a nice touch too. I tell ya, it’s scary the way this guy truly seems to be viewed as the “Messiah”. So cultish…
JetBoy on February 29, 2008 at 12:57 PM
Someone should make a video taking the character Snow White out of the original Disney film and put Obama dancing around with squirrels, rabbits, birds, etc.

What’s the over/under on how long after the inauguration and Obey starts getting Presidential Daily Briefings and hears “No, Mr. President, Dinner Jacket wants to kill you as well…” that he starts being called “The Great Sell-out” “Mr. Disappointment” by these same people?

Sorry about the repost from another thread, but is seemed equally apropos here:
Well YEAH- shoot, the libs feel WAY BETTER UPLIFTING A BROTHER. It makes them feel so… color blind and special! If voting for Obama didn’t help them assuage their white guilt by letting them REACH DOWN TO HELP HIM UP, there wouldn’t be such a warm fuzzy feelin’ attached.
You can’t get that same LIBERAL BUZZ by helpin’ a Clinton.

OMG I cannot believe these morons.
Anyone remember that old movie (I am really dating myself here) where the old lady planted teenagers in her garden and has a swirly light thing that hipnotized them?
This reminded me of that lol.

Believe it or not.
I didn’t like that video at all.
The previous video did have a uplifting feel to it, one of hope and happiness.
This one, was as if that video was saying, “we’re minorities and you owe us!”
Last time I checked, I didn’t owe anyone anything. Way I see, they owe us, cause we let them in this country.
and before anyone tries to call me a hater, look at your history books, it’s true.

Actually I love that the obamites are falling into the trap that all they have to do is spew paltitudes and its enough to win elections.
Obama can try to hide behind his race from attacks but that doesnt mean he can do it.

I pray that all of liberal Hollywood unites in a new 527 to put this in nationwide rotation! Can’t think of a better way for them to spend their money.
CK MacLeod on February 29, 2008 at 1:22 PM
And rightly so. After all, they’ve established a “reputation” for themselves as being contributing, successful, productive members of American society… and that simply will not be tolerated by the left.

The falacy of all the hollywood elitists and celebrities espousing leftist views is that none of them achieved success, financial or otherwise, by depending on the government to do it for them. They all became successful through hard work, sacrifice, determination, and persistence. Yet the same system that provided them with the opportunity is not good enough for everyone else.
samuelrylander on February 29, 2008 at 1:25 PM

Joke if you want, but what’s happening with Obama is prophesized in the Bible.
Look in the book of Judges, chapter 4.
Substitute Barak with Barack
Substitute Deborrah with Diane (Middle name of Hillary)
Substitute Sisera with Sidney (Middle name of McCain)
Substutute all the other stuff about Isreal, Canaan, battles, etc, etc, with 2008 Presidential election.
And there you have it, Hillary with step back so Barack gets the lead and beats McCain.
Disclaimer: Before this is actually believed by anyone, I am joking.
AverageJoe on February 29, 2008 at 1:26 PM

They all look like bobbleheads: head-bobbing, empty-minded, silly little caricatures of people. How exactly is this messiah bringing the whole country together and changing the world? I haven’t seen it. He hasn’t touched my heart and made me consider voting for him in any way. Such empty words!

I must confess. I did like that song. The message was sorta, Um, Shall we say, Liberal? But the music was kick butt. I am guitar player and Vernon Reid’s solo in that song was awesome. So, I like the music, the lyrics…. well, you know.

Couple of random thoughts:
1) I’m not sure I want to be nearby when these gullible fools come down from their high.
2) Does Senator Obama speak Spanish? No? Then why are there so many heartfelt pleas in Spanish in this video — without (at least) subtitles?
3) What, no sign-laguage interpretation for the hearing impaired? No interprative dance? They are dissing some important lib constituencies by this snub.
4) I recognized maybe four of the actors in this video. Does that make me just old, or racist too?

Gagdad Bob (Dr. Bob Goodwin – a clinical shrink) thinks this quote is on point regarding our aspiring new Dear Leader:
Mike OMalley on February 29, 2008 at 3:56 PM
He is most famous for the hit song “My Humps”, in which he eloquently describes the female form. He has also produced “Don’t Phunk (and, yes, the “f” is replaced with “ph” for the radio) With My Heart”, “I Got It From My Momma” (referring, once again, to the female form), “I Love My Bitch”, and “P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing)”. Sounds like the kind of guy I want to influence the vote.
