What’s with all these Egyptian terrorists being named Al-Masri.

It means ‘The Egyptian’.

It resembles the name Mizraim, one of Ham’s sons in Genesis chapter 10, called the “Table Of Nations”.

I’ve long been fascinated by the resemblance of “Japheth” (Ham’s brother, both being Noah’s sons) to “Iapetus”, one of the Titans of Greek mythology.

“Masri” is apparently an Egyptian dialect of Arabic that’s common to the Cairo region. And it seems that in the Masri dialect Cairo itself is refered to as “Masr.” So I would assume that the name “al-Masri” simply means “from Cairo,” or possible even more generally “from Egypt.”

Gadahn’s been rumored to be the guy responsible for those, so if he’s around and at work, he’s obviously not enjoying his virgins. Bummer.

Well, he knows he rumored to be killed so if he put the tape together wouldn’t he have put himself in it to debunk the rumors?

If they don’t announce the blessed martyrdom of Dr. Z soon, it didn’t happen.

Unless they rather people continue to believe he’s alive. I think I can make a convincing strategic case either way.
