It was the Obama Campaign who TOLD the Secret Service to stop checking for weapons ostensibly because the venue wasn’t filling quickly enough.

That reminds me of when I visit neighboring Bay Area cities that designate themselves as a “drug-free zone” or a “nuclear-free zone”.
