In the event I should someday win the prize I want to know just what the prize is. An iPod, a Masserati, maybe a 50" flat screen tv?
Congrats 29 victor
But did anybody else catch the fact that they actually named the commentator instead of the previous practice of just giving the comment? Are bloggers and those who comment on blogs now coming out of the shadows? Will other news media start using this method? After the grief for misidentifying whether quotes are coming from blog "owners" rather then the folks who comment on them maybe this is the wave of the future or dare I say CHANGE!

Little Babaji is the new title by Helen Bannerman. We have it and it is excellent in its new form. Set in India with lovely illustrations. My kids love it, and they have no idea that the cute story was ever tainted in any way.

Hey, I’m a leap year baby too!

OK, something I never quite understood...If someone is born on Feb. 29th (I know this is a little OT) does that mean, for legal purposes and such, that it's "observed" on the 28th, or March 1st?

At least the good people at USA Today were gracious enough to properly source the comment.

Or perhaps, perhaps, they just knew better than to swipe stuff from the Boss's peeps.

I can't speak for the management (or more specifically, the techies), and I honestly don't want them to give a detailed answer, but as somebody less-talented than the techies who runs WordPress on his own domain, there are ways to do both.

Ya’ gotta take the good with the bad and there are some really high levels of bad here now that the back door got left open. Take Hiney Von Pewps for example. A classic case of liberal ignorance attached to the left’s penis like a octopus to a canoe full of pirates in a shwashbuckler’s Saturday afternoon matinee. Slicker ‘n Texas roadkill in a rain storm. That one is.

Griz on February 28, 2008 at 5:24 PM

No one can make us look bad except ourselves. Von Pewps is a little redundant with his message. But aren't we all?

Every person in here has a bone to pick; and we all do a pretty good job of getting our points across. Some are over the top, others are rude, others are factually inaccurate. Some are all of the above.

Still, none of us is more entitled to this space than others. Von Pewps can only be blamed so much; he accurately quotes a couple of commenters. Attacking the messenger is a sign of serious weakness. The correction needs to be made in-house...to our fellow conservatives.

***

Oy, those comments “Von Pewps” highlighted are vile, and certainly TOS violations.

You're my new favorite commenter. But that has nothing to do with the sage pragmatism you offer here at HA.

Two words -- canonical URLs. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Me thinks they (NYT) don't just read Hot Air, but post vile bile here as well.

Wow, “Osambo” is all it takes around here. What is that, like a cross between Rambo and Osama? Not sure I get it.

But congrats 29Victor.

I think it was a reference to the children's book "Little Black Sambo" story, which, while placed in India, was illustrated with what many interepreted as racist caricatures of blacks, and banned in libraries across the U.S. The name "Sambo" was then conflated, and apparently used by some of our former posters, as a racist epithet.

Please don't ban me for the explanation...

Oh, and the book has been retitled and re-illustrated, and it's actually a great story. We have it at home, but I forget the new title :(
