However, I certainly support the basic human rights as outlines 700 years ago in Habeas Corpus. I also support the notion that all people on this planet are entitled to these rights. If I were shown hard evidence that these prisone-sorry, detainees, were being mistreated, I’d write a letter, make angry posts online, maybe even donate money to an organization fighting for these most basic rights.

Remember our Christian way here folks, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Remember your compassion. Being Christian doesn’t mean you can’t fight…but I’m pretty sure Jesus wouldn’t approve of mistreating the imprisoned…and I’m pretty sure he’d be speaking from experience.

If they are wearing the American flag,oh it better not be
flying under the disgusting AQ ribbon!

If the American flag pin is sitting next to the AQ pin,
does this imply to the peace freaks of course that their
partners in some kind of sick twisted world view.

And would said star or starlette go abroard wearing the
dispickable AQ ribbon,say to a Middle Eastern vacation spot,
and would their lives be in jeopardy if they explained what the ribbon stood for!

It makes me sick that these nuts would not be caught dead wearing a support the troops ribbon but will support the terrorists in Gitmo.

Agreed. I’m sure these nitwits would respond with, “well, we are showing solidarity with those innocents who are incarcerated there unjustly”…to which you could ask, “what about those who are known to have been involved in the killing of Americans such as KSM”.

…their likely response to that would be “well, he wouldn’t have done so if not for our policy in the Middle East.”

Simply amazing how d@mn stupid Hollyweird types can be.

How about a prison striped ribbon to signify locking up as many jihadis there as the place will hold…plus a few more?

Always looking for ways to support this country, Hollywood has developed (with the able help of the ACLU) the orange ribbon and wristband, to protest our treatment of Al Qaeda detainees at Guantanamo. See this, too. (both via HotAir)…

Cancel your cable, quit buying downloads/DVD’s and turn off the TV. Stop going to the movies. You will find that you will have more money, more time to do things in and most importantly you will be sticking a big stake into the heart of the beast.

Trust me, you won’t miss it after a couple of weeks and as the years go by you will wonder how you could stand watching/listening to the inane drivel spewing forth from the entertainment industry.

The only movies that gorgeous twit Julie Christie I find worth watching – Hamlet & Troy – are sadly ones I won’t see anytime soon. I certainly won’t pay for them. That kind of crap (siding with the enemies of free speech and property rights) has burned me on Hollywood.

Geese, I remember when they made “Behind Enemy Lines”, “Crimson Tide” and the Tom Clancy movies. Now, (mostly) foriegn filmmakers make Bond movies. What is this world coming to?!?

John McCain wants to close Gitmo, so he should wear one of these orange ribbons too. Maybe he could get the Hollywood vote and take California in a landslide!

Many in the left art world seem to beleive that their good work equals correctness of thought and that their art can sway the masses. But look, a movie or a song is an emotion laden device, a small part of a road map for life.

Black Sabbath had a prodrug and antidrug song on the same album! The Who’s “meet the new boss, same as the old boss” line should make everyone sit back and think about their convictions every once in a while. I still get drunk and play air gutiar to that tune. My dad, a WWII vet, loved MASH because it was funny but he was not swayed.

Bottom line. These folks today, from producers on down, just don’t have that much talent.
