Eliminating Al-qaeda from establishing a foot hold in Iraq
is exactly what we have prevented with the surge he said would not work.

This coming from the same guy who wants to take our “Broken” army out of Iraq because we “can’t” win there,
then invade Pakistan(Nuclear powered ally,over a 20 million man army and some of the roughest unmapped terrain in the world) because our intelligence agencies “are pretty sure”that Osama is there.

If we invade and Osama ends up in Somolia or Iran,will the Democrats call him a chicken hawk war monger that lied us into war like they have done Bush?

When was the last time I heard a Democrat talking about taking out a regime that was harboring dangerous terrorist
like al-qaeda and WMD/nuclear weapons.

OH Yea!!! almost all the the 90′s and up until they voted
with Republicans to oust Saddam because he harbored al-qaeda
and possessed WMD’s.

Bill Clinton,Hillary Clinton,Reid,Kerry,pelosi,Edwards,
Rockefeller,Al Gore the CIA,DOD,and most of the world’s intelligence agencies believed this before Bush was President and up until the vote for war.

We have watched the Democratic party adopt the biggest case of amnesia the world has ever seen regarding the Iraq war and use the difficulties of War as a bludgeon against Bush and anyone who supports the liberation of Iraq,so why in the he!! would anyone trust a democrat now when they talk about using force internationally.

You would think the disgusting way democrats treated our troops and bailed on the Vietnam war resulting in the deaths of millions of people would have shown the fallacy of running from our enemies.

In a recent debate,Obama totally Micheal Moored up the
facts concerning our efforts in Afghanistan:

“Although problems do occur in combat situations to be sure, none of what Obama realted makes any sense and is, according to people with whom I spoke, untrue.Units the size of platoons are not sent to seperate theaters, ammunition has been plentiful, and an investigation indicates that the
unit in question was missing only one of it’s humvees, all to no peril of the unit.”

These events also transpired around 2003, not exactly a snapshot of the current situation.

Obama’s insinuation that our military is ill equipped and
having to take guns and vehicles from our enemies falls flat
when the facts of the situation comes out.

I thought Obama wanted “CHANGE”. This is the same cut and
paste propaganda that we have been dealing with in the democratic party for years.

Obama can only whine about 2003 issues of whether “Al-Qaeda
was in Iraq”(which his party pronounced many times)because
he has no solutions beyond surrender to offer for the realities of the War on Terror in 2008.

Above all, I will send a clear message: we will not repeat the mistake of the past, when we turned our back on Afghanistan Iraq following Soviet our withdrawal. As 9/11 showed us, the security of Afghanistan Iraq and America is shared. And today, that security is most threatened by the al Qaeda in Iraq and Taliban sanctuary in the tribal regions of northwest Pakistan Iraq.

i.e. when the number of sunni-shi’ite terror attacks drops to 4% of current levels the operation has been deemed a success.
or when AQI only kills 30 people a month it is a success.
or perhaps are we going to totally obliterate all terrorism, official corrpuption, and ensure the primacy of the rule of law and democratic principles as practiced in the west.

We’re fighting them so we don’t have to fight them over here is as vacuous as an Obama campaign pledge.

Seems like a lot of this is ‘make it up as you go along’ in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Everytime the military does anything the democrats throw a hissy fit, thats why the Rules of engagement are the way they are. etc.

Want to know why they have to fight with an arm tied behind their backs? Look to the dems like John Kerry saying

Do you know anything about insurgencies? You can’t just bomb them into oblivion, you have to convince the general populace that they are illegitimate and their enemy.

Consider this, though. Al Qaeda was touting two sites for its capital in Iraq. These were Baquaba and Anbar province. Both of these areas are firmly under friendly Iraqi control. Locals hand over Al Qaeda members and join up with watch groups and the police. The AQI leaders are privately despairing over the state of their operations. It’s fair to say we are fighting them and winning.

Because our military consist of nothing but uneducated lazy morons, of course!

I don’t know how many conservatives there are like me but McCain making overtures toward conservatives is a waste of his and my time. I cannot in good conscience vote for him and I will not. The conservatives in my family and I do not view him as a Republican in any sense of the word. (In fact, I view him as even more reprehensible than Romney who seems more popular out of the race than in it.) I don’t think it is that we are ‘throwing drinks in McCain’s face’. He is simply reaping what he has sown. He has no one to blame but himself.
