Jesse Jackson on Michelle Obama: Um, let’s talk about O’Reilly

By popular demand. This makes twice recently that Chris Matthews — or rather, Chris Matthews’s leg — has challenged an unabashed Obama supporter to defend Bambi or his wife. Is Tweety growing a spine?
Take comfort in this: With Obama winning the nomination, this tool is now officially old news.

One can only hope. Savor the irony of Jackson’s first phrase: “there’s some baiting going on”.

Andrea Mitchell about then had a strange hand running up her skirt.

If Saturday Night Live played Revered Jackson this incoherent I would consider it absurd. Life is stranger than fiction, though.
Nessuno on February 27, 2008 at 5:25 PM
He wasn’t before? That is news to me, actually.

Um, how about Jackson discusses Michelle Obama. I’m getting a disturbing visual from the headline you’re using.

Try to keep up.

Revered Jackson, like Bill Clinton, has now joined the “Cranky Old Man Club of the Irrelevant.” COMCI
ThePrez on February 27, 2008 at 5:32 PM
Once he had to start making excuses for Michelle Obama I couldn’t understand a damn thing he said.
Blarg the Destroyer on February 27, 2008 at 5:34 PM
Who’s on the FCC? Last time I checked, there were 2 members on the FCC and O’Reilly wasn’t one of them
Pam on February 27, 2008 at 5:36 PM
What the hell did he just say? I got about the same information that I get when Barry O is preaching one of “change” sermons at a rally.
All I heard from HiJackson was, “Jibbity jabbity ratatat tat.”
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on February 27, 2008 at 5:37 PM
JJ’s attempt to sound intellectual results in a speech impediment that nearly comes off as an entirely new language.

sleepy-beans is that latin? :-)

I’m sure that B.O. would love to be on the FCC, that way he could regulate the internet(his wet dream).

I can’t believe…well, yes I can…Rev. Rainbow misquoted O’Reilly completely…O’Reilly said, we shouldn’t send out a lynch mob for Michelle when she hasn’t had an opportunity to clarify her statements. O’Reilly was defending her. Just think if he would have said no need to send out a nappy headed lynch mob of hos.
PC police…clean up on Aisle 11.
Sheesh!
And I don’t really like O’Reilly, so defending him is really annoying!
ihasurnominashun on February 27, 2008 at 5:44 PM

Oh wait, there they are …. in his mouth.

That’s what you see in Microsoft publisher or any kind of ms program that has a pamphlet or newsletter. It’s ms jibberish to show you that you should have typed something.

No way Allah. He’s just getting warmed up in my estimation. If Obama has trouble getting support for something he’s trying to push through its because we are all a bunch or racists. Anybody who critisizes Obama when he falls on his face. They are racist. Obama’s approval ratings hit the dumps. We are ALL a bunch of racists. If anybody objects to ammending the Constitution in order to allow Obama to run for a third term. RACIST!! Republicans stand up to him about anything. All Republicans are Racist. On and on.
Zetterson on February 27, 2008 at 5:46 PM
All of you are racist. Don’t you understand when a man is speaking Ebonics? I think everyone needs some re-education (hell, they’re already doing it for Spanish!).
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on February 27, 2008 at 5:46 PM
Remember not to say anything bad about the Obamas, or DaveS and his sock-puppet will be on you like that! (snaps fingers)

I wish FNC would stop buttering this bozo’s bread and decline to renew its contract with this clown. He adds nothing of value to the national debate. He’s a race hustler, no more and no less. Yet they persist in asking for his opinion on everything from international affairs to nuclear energy. It demeans them to treat him seriously. Disgusting.
As much as I appreciate O’Reilly’s work, it almost serves him right to get bit in his arse after being so cordial to him last time on his show. Predictable, yes?
petefrt on February 27, 2008 at 5:49 PM
Has he been in the boxing ring? My gosh, to think he used to be considered our most eloquent politician.

I thought you meant “sleepy beans” came out of JJ’s mouth somewhere in all that unintelligible gibberish. I even listened to the clip again trying to hear it. Sorry.

As much as I appreciate O’Reilly’s work, it pained me to see him coddle JJ last time on his show. Almost serves O’Reilly right that he’d bite him in his arse at the first opportunity. Predictable, if nothing else.

I missed the part where Twitty asked Rev.Mumbles about Bill O’Reilly.

Hello All,
So whitey or cracker if you prefer, cannot say the n word or lynch? Is that correct? It’s funny because I was watching the oldie channel over the weekend and they had a bunch of western cowboy movies on and guess what happened in most if not all? Some poor whitey got lynched. No black people but in the Ox-Bow Incident they did get a whitey an old guy and a person of latin descent.
So can we say hang ‘em high? I there a white version for the word lynch?
Tanks for playin’ along…
PS Did Hesse actual complete a full sentence during his interview?
titleist123 on February 27, 2008 at 6:01 PM
Maybe Hillary called Chris Matthews to remind him of 2 words:
Vince Foster
I cannot take the Rhyming Retard!

What is up with the comments? It says that there are like 83, and I see that there is maybe 20 to 30.

Quick! The teleprompter crashed, someone run and get Jesse his script…
Hog Wild on February 27, 2008 at 6:19 PM
Over there? He was in Somalia. How racist of Matthews to group all together a very large group of peoples from an entire and quite varied continent.

Tzetzes on February 27, 2008 at 6:36 PM
Now let’s keep the information straight. Obama was in Kenya when the photo was taken–a northern part of Kenya where Somalis live. There are 40+ tribes in Kenya; ‘Somali’ describes a tribe as well as a nationality. IOW, all Somalis aren’t necessarily citizens of Somalia.
baldilocks on February 27, 2008 at 6:47 PM
O’Rielly used the word lynch as many of us use it from time to time. It is in the common parlance, the fact he was referring to a black woman is very likely a coincidence. Jackson’s confirmation bias precludes this though, sad.
Dr. Manhattan on February 27, 2008 at 6:51 PM
For a moment I thought Matthews was talking to Pat Paulsen–mumbles for president. Remember him?
wepeople on February 27, 2008 at 7:06 PM
JJ’s “create an atmosphere of danger”…
Yeah, that’s what I’m feeling. But mine is is from the Democrat’s front-runner… not from O’Reilly.
OldPhart on February 27, 2008 at 7:09 PM
Sounds like there may have been refreshments at the after debate party…
d1carter on February 27, 2008 at 7:21 PM
You’re dead on target.
The race will all be about race. And you will be a racist if you don’t vote for Obama.
Case closed
drjohn on February 27, 2008 at 7:42 PM
Finally got RedLasso to load the video… after five reboots.
It was worth the trouble. JJ was almost as nervous as Obama was about the issue. I’m thinking this room is full of horse crap, and there’s a pony in here somewhere.
petefrt on February 27, 2008 at 8:06 PM
O’Reilly used the word ‘lynch’. Sure, but he used it in DEFENSE of Mrs. O. He said he wanted to give her the benefit of doubt on her ‘proud of my country’ comments, and stood against any lynch mob against her. So the Rhyming Reverund twists this into a racial slur? Get serious. To me such a stretch indicates a very tender vulnerability.

There are only two things that matter in the life of Jesse Jackson.
A camera and a microphone.

Jessie is so incoherent that he needs to remember to take his meds on time.
