Video: Hillary makes her debut on “The 700 Club”

Eight years as First Lady, seven years as senator, but not until now — with her lead gone in Texas and crumbling in Ohio — have the stars aligned for her to sit down with a CBN reporter for the show. Go figure. It’s thin gruel but worth watching for the part near the end where Lady Macbeth reveals how deep her spiritual devotion is. Oh, and also for this canned line, which you’re bound to hear tonight at the first opportunity: “It seems like the ‘politics of hope’ is hoping no one will notice.”

Exit question: Is it finally over? Time to dance at the graveside with Matt Labash?

I do support Obama on the issue. Not issues, mind you. I’m against almost everything he stands for, including hope and change (I’m for despair and preserving the status quo). But he’s for standing over the rotting carcass of Hillary’s political ambitions, and so am I! Some might call it venal small-mindedness. But Obama and I call it “post-partisanship.” For Hillary is the one we’ve been waiting for. To go away.

Hillary on the 700 Club! Shock.

Perhaps with Hillary removed from the political scene, we can have a debate over the merits of respective views of government. Considering the ’sacred ground’ Obama holds, is there any other ground that the Republicans can debate on without the press calling them ‘racist’, etc? Eh, it’s wishful thinking. This season is the old guy vs. the post-partisan.

Spirit of 1776 on February 26, 2008 at 12:10 PM

Does she have 25 of these same yellow suits? Couldn’t they have spent a few bucks of the 100s of millions of dollars on some new outfits?

BJ* on February 26, 2008 at 12:11 PM

Oh, she’s clever though! Dropping the Brownback reference when everyone else save this audience has probably forgotten all about it.

Spirit of 1776 on February 26, 2008 at 12:14 PM

That block quote is great. I think I’m for post-partisanship too.

BadgerHawk on February 26, 2008 at 12:15 PM

BJ – you beat me to the “Why does she wear the same screeming yellow suit coat to every friggin function?” comment.

Alden Pyle on February 26, 2008 at 12:18 PM

Forget about her campaign advisors, this biatch needs a fashion advisor. Enough yellow and black Hill!!! Do you live in a hive???

mattyj86 on February 26, 2008 at 12:19 PM

Hillary on The 700 Club? She really is desperate.

SoulGlo on February 26, 2008 at 12:20 PM

“My faith..”,

Faith in what? Faith that the Methodist Federation for Social Action(MFSA) will be sucessful in getting all church members to divest from Israel. The faith that the MFSA will help rid ‘occupied Palestine’ of it’s Zionist overlords?
Or is it her faith that the American people are too lazy to check into what her faith actually is?

OT: soon to be fireworks on Laura Ingraham. Geraldo is on.

carbon_footprint on February 26, 2008 at 12:21 PM

I just threw up, not a little, not in my mouth…all over my desk. I’m typing through vomit right now.

beefytee on February 26, 2008 at 12:21 PM

Does she sleep, shower and work in that same horrendous yellow pantsuit? That thing is on her like stink on a monkey.

Chuck Schick on February 26, 2008 at 12:21 PM

I don’t know why everyone assumes that anyone in their 60’s (especially early 60’s) will not be able to run again in 2012. That’s not really that old anymore, and many of the candidates who ran this time will still be in their mid 60’s by the time the next election cycle rolls around. Hillary’s the same age as Mitt. You can’t claim that he’ll be the Republican standard bearer in 2012, and that Hillary’s finished for good, especially since she’s done a heck of a lot better than him so far this year. She’ll be back.

Big S on February 26, 2008 at 12:24 PM

Is Hillary using her wardrobe to intimidate Obama?

You know, in nature the color combination of yellow and black means: “Danger! I’m poisonous! If you attack me, I will kill you!”

By dressing up as a poisonous reptile or insect she is trying to warn Barry to stop fighting and submit to her will.

Just one nature lovers opinion.

Dorvillian on February 26, 2008 at 12:25 PM

I can’t believe you people are concentrating on her e-ing wardrobe and not the disgusting use of religion to attempt to pander to voters…seriously. There is plenty to attack her about, and I do it daily, but I just for the life of me can’t understand why her physical appearance remains such a target.

Only in America.

beefytee on February 26, 2008 at 12:28 PM

She’s a Steelers fan, who knew?

benrand on February 26, 2008 at 12:28 PM

MarkABinVA on February 26, 2008 at 12:34 PM

Seems appropo to me. Both Hillary Clinton and Pat Robertson are now completely irrelevent.

I thought it was red and yellow? Still applies, what with Bill’s face this year.

Still hoping she clinches the nomination, though. Keep hope alive!

Hillary’s World ……

Faith: Believing you are entitled to get away with anything you say or do. (Sorry Billy Dale, Vince, etc.)

Marriage: An inconvenient ride on her way to the throne.

700 Club: A place to visit and act sincere.

fogw on February 26, 2008 at 12:38 PM

Did she talk about eating coca paste with Robertson’s producer?

(I know, I know they were talking about Chavez)

lorien1973 on February 26, 2008 at 12:41 PM

Finding her faith just in time for the wake.

I can’t believe she’s wearing the bumblebee suit again.

JammieWearingFool on February 26, 2008 at 12:44 PM

Hillary on the 700 Club………….. only one thing to say:

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among woman and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus, Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Seven Percent Solution on February 26, 2008 at 12:45 PM

Yellow on black, venom lack; black on yellow kills a fellow
I remember that ditty about the snakes from the animal documentaries. hil’s color pattern is definitely black stripes on yellow…
Side note: Wasn’t Geena Davis acting as CinC supposed to smooth sail hil to the presidency? I was suddenly reminded of that series when I was channel surfing and saw the 80s Earth Girls Are Easy broadcasting.

ttevolla on February 26, 2008 at 12:47 PM

Luckily the stream stopped and I was spared from having to hear the last third of the clip.
I had to stop to empty the bucket after I heard her say: ‘I just had to do what was right for my…family.’ Urp.

About ten years ago I wrote a letter/email to Lucianne Goldberg telling her how terrified I was that HRC was planning to run for Senate to run for Prez, which had been her plan when she met BJ. Dear Lucianne tried to comfort me by assuring me that the Clintons ‘will go away soon’…Maybe now they will, but I agree with that southern Democrat named Zell Miller(?) who left Congress telling the truth: The Clintons are living in the basement of the DNC and they won’t go away without a fight. He was and is right.
By this time next week we may witness her/their political swan song, but I think it’s just as possible that they will do whatever is necessary to win the nomination–and destroy her party at the same time. I’m looking forward to that the most. Perhaps they will ‘exile’ in Cuba or the UAE rather than stick around and run the UN and the World Bank. I can dream.

Christine on February 26, 2008 at 12:51 PM

Typical liberal tactic.

Derisively sneer at the “Jesus freaks” until the poll numbers go south then go to the evangelicals and talk about faith- as if that erases all that went before.

McCain’s no different than Clinton on this point. He will probably do much of the same tactic when he finally gets around to the realization that he’s toast without the support of the real Republican base.

Dressing like Big Bird optional.

highhopes on February 26, 2008 at 12:58 PM

Seven Percent Solution on February 26, 2008 at 12:45 PM

This underscores my belief that HRC is the anti-Mary and the anti-mother, just read ‘her book’, It Takes A Village. Any mother who brainwashes her child to not hear the truth about her father rather than leave him for the child’s sake is evil and cannot be trusted or deemed a true mother.

Christine on February 26, 2008 at 12:59 PM

Absolutely amazing.

This narcissistic woman is also the epitome of hypocricy.

rplat on February 26, 2008 at 1:05 PM

Brody: Are you misunderstood? And if you are, why?

Clinton: You know, I have to believe I am because time and time again, people – who have been criticizing me in very harsh and personal terms – once they have gotten to know me, have apologized to me and have even asked for my forgiveness.

Name names, girlfriend! Who has been “harsh” but is now your BFF? I’d imagine the opposite to be more likely, the more people get to know you the more they can’t stand you. You political aspirations aren’t on life support because voters don’t know you. Your campaign is tanking because voters DO know you and are unwilling to go back into the slime bucket that is your offering in this election.

So the woman fully supports the murder of billions of unborn children and then thinks she’s going to pick up some voters on the 700 club??

SaintOlaf on February 26, 2008 at 1:11 PM

Time to dance at the graveside with Matt Labash?

Unless enough Republicans are dumb enough to cross over and vote for Hillary instead of Obama.

McCain is fatally flawed and cannot win the presidency even against the glacier.

Valiant on February 26, 2008 at 1:13 PM

I can see the headline now: Jezebel spirit possessed woman speaks…tries to deceive believers into electing her..

SaintOlaf on February 26, 2008 at 1:14 PM

She needs a new suit. When does she take it off long enough to get it cleaned?

gstrickler on February 26, 2008 at 1:17 PM

Yellow on black, won’t hurt Jack. Black on yellow, kill a fellow. But, I digress.

Anyway, I’ve always loved the yellow, Boss 302, 351 and 429, with black Boss stripes.

David Brody: Pitcher for the CBN News softball team. I know-any media that has the opportunity to talk to someone like HRC will allow themselves to be used. I can’t fault CBN for being willing to interview her. As Terri said at the end,
“She certainly has been in some awkward positions.”

Doug on February 26, 2008 at 1:22 PM

P.S. Using her to stir up passions? eeewwwww

P.P.S. BTW, she was talking ‘works’ to protestants.

Yellow on black, venom lack; black on yellow kills a fellow.

I remember that ditty about the snakes from the animal documentaries. hil’s color pattern is definitely black stripes on yellow…

Except that if you look closer at this photo and the other photo from earlier in the weekend at that rally in OH, she’s wearing the Bee Suit on top of what looks like black blouse and slacks. It is correct that the yellow coat has black stripe on the edges on top of it, but really it looks like black on yellow on black.

Regardless, she really needs to lose the Bee Suit. It works for stinging insects and poisonous Amazon froggies, but not for her. All it does is make her look like she’s auditioning for Seinfeld bee movie sequel.

It’s odd that we saw her in this color scheme just a few days ago, and now we’re seeing it again. I have to wonder how many of these Bee Suits she has in her wardrobe, and why she’s wearing the same color scheme so frequently?

I can’t STAND that woman!

I swear, if she wins. I will pull the level for McCain, and slit my wrists afterward.

(okay, I’m kidding about the wrist slitting bit, But the rest, I’m serious as a Heart attack!)

There’s a whole bunch more, that I’d like to say here, But this ain’t my Blog, So, I shall not.

WayWard Fundamentalist Christian on February 26, 2008 at 1:37 PM

I think it was:

Red and yellow,kill a fellow
Red and black, venom lack

having to do with distinguishing the poisonous coral snake from the non-poisonous king snake

Apparently the king snake has the same horizontal color bands as the coral snake, but the rule above helps you tell which is which based on the touching colors.

If only it was as easy to tell when politicians were trying to look like something else…

Q: How can you tell when a Clinton is lying?
A: Its lips are moving

Shirotayama on February 26, 2008 at 1:37 PM

For the record, and so as not to be responsible for the deaths HotAir commentors who handle deadly snakes, the true phrase is a variation of red and black and yellow:

Red on yellow, kill a fellow. Red on black, won’t hurt Jack … or, venom lack.

It was a reference to the coral snake and king snake conundrum. But, hell, Hillary was wearing only black on yellow. So I had to imply that she was a snake, by any means available.

I felt compelled to submit this Truth-In-Poisonous-Snake-Identification comment.

:O)

I haven’t seen you here before, but you’re not fooling anyone. You took a rip at Allahpundit on another thread this morning, and you’re starting to look like every other troll who shows up here.

You say you can’t stand that woman, and you would vote for McCain if she won the nomination?

But on your own blog you say the following:

Posted on February 23, 2008 by Wayward Fundamentalist Christian

In Conclusion, I believe while Hillary or Obama will send Conservatism into the wilderness for the next four to six years. John McCain would destroy the party, to the point of the Whig party of old. This is not a risk, which I am willing to take, come November.

You’re confused a bit, aren’t you?

Abso-freekin-lute-ly! Tonight’s debate in Ohio should be interesting. I’m hoping it’s Hillary’s last.

TeeDee on February 26, 2008 at 3:19 PM

I wonder if Hillary feels that Gennifer Flowers is owed an apology. Hillary led the charge in sliming Gennifer Flowers and Hillary even told Steve Kroft on 60 Minutes back in 1992 that “we know all about” Gennifer Flowers. Hillary got the MSM to buy into the whole Gennifer as golddigger nonsense and Hillary and Carville came up with Gennifer as trailer park trash and the MSM bought into it. The whole time Hillary knew that Gennifer was telling the truth and that Bill preferred nights with Gennifer to being in the Governor’s mansion with Hillary. Bill even admitted it under oath at his deposition. So when will Hillary go on the 700 club and apologize?

Larraby on February 26, 2008 at 3:26 PM

Does anyone still watch the 700 Club? After Pat prophesies about the landslide win for Bush and the Hurricanes and the end of the war, etc…I thought he had just kind of faded away.
