Open thread: The “Get Bambi!” debate

9 p.m. ET on MSNBC. Last chance for our gal, for realsies. The boss, cynic that she is, has already liveblogged it in Laphamesque fashion. In the unlikely event that either party veers from the script — we’re in a cooldown stage, after all — we’ll have video here later. If you’re looking for schadenfreude, enjoy Clinton crony Leon Panetta taking a ceremonial dump on ace Hillary pollster Mark Penn. If it’s Messiah reading you want, take your pick: Newsweek offering him as the first woman president or the Wash Times suggesting that the Pentagon’s wringing its hands at the thought of a true blue lefty C-in-C (“A senior Pentagon official said an Obama swearing-in ‘will give the Arab street the final victory, the best optics, and the ultimate in bragging rights. They win. We lose.’”) We know from the left’s incessant pounding of the chickenhawk meme that only the military really knows what it’s talking about in matters of war, so weigh that accordingly.

I believe. I still believe.

Update: “One member said the only way he wouldn’t vote for Clinton is if he died.”

They should each be armed with 10 cream pies. Whoever scores the most hits to their opponent’s pie hole, wins.

Again, her only chance is to go to the RIGHT of him on the war…since that’s the only topic on which she can do so…to convince any leaning Independents to vote for her. If she doesn’t she’s a fool.

SouthernGent on February 26, 2008 at 8:39 PM

Only one of the below is correct, care to guess
1. Hillary Diane Clinton was named after Sir Edmund Hillary.

2. Barak Hussein Obama was named after some Muslim dude.

3. John Shamnesty McCain’s real M.I. is Sidney after his Grandfather who in the 1700s sailed the convicts of England to Sidney Australia.

TheSitRep on February 26, 2008 at 8:39 PM

As Technician Third Class Dave Lister said while watching female, topless boxing…”I’m just praying that it goes the distance.”

But, as Kryten observed “…they’re not even hitting one another. They just appear to be standing in the centre of the ring and jiggling up and down.”

Which is pretty much what I expect to see tonight.

I think they should structure this last debate in this manner:
Read excerpts from Jonah’s book and discuss.

petefrt on February 26, 2008 at 8:51 PM

You want to know something pretty stupid? I just figured out that my local cable provider has MSNBC on channel 99. I don’t know why the hell else I would have gone anywhere near 99 unless I was specifically looking for MSNBC, since there is absolutely no other channel above channel 69 on my local cable lineup.

Are other cable providers out there putting MSNBC way the hell out there? Could this be part of the reason why there are only 10 or so other people in the country that watch this almost pitifully underviewed cable news channel?

If Hillary doesn’t deal with Bam in the same level headed manner he’s dealing with her, it’ll be bad-bad.

(he said Massetussets, again)

yo on February 26, 2008 at 9:13 PM

He said it again – Massatusits

LordMaximus on February 26, 2008 at 9:13 PM

The libs constantly say Bush’s inability to pronounce “nuclear” proves that he’s an idiot.

Well, apparently the Messiah can’t pronounce Massachusetts correctly (he clearly said “massaTOOsits”.

Conclusion? Oh, right. I forgot. You can’t criticize the Messiah.

bofh on February 26, 2008 at 9:13 PM

Hillary has multiple personalities.

She is a VERY strange person.

Massatusetts???

WTF WTF WTF?

Gosh, what will the snarky lefties do about such an idiot who can’t even pronounce a US state???

Can he spell February? Wednesday?

LMAO

Duncan Khuver on February 26, 2008 at 9:14 PM

I can’t watch this drivel. Let me know when PMSNBC makes up for the Chelsea “pimp” remark by asking Obama a series of good questions.

SouthernGent on February 26, 2008 at 9:15 PM

Welp, Hillary just said she’ll make sure your health care insurance premium can’t be higher than a certain percentage of your income.

Stalin. ‘08.

MrSteve on February 26, 2008 at 9:15 PM

Hillary make him explain his plan. He said everyone will but not how.

Massatoosits. LOL

benrand on February 26, 2008 at 9:16 PM

Dumb question time. How come the moderator never asks what constitutional authority these yutzes are using for federal based health care ?

Just wondering.
