It's great to dream. Something horrific would have to happen to McCain in order for Mitt to get back in. Health reasons or a "Dean" moment. That being said, we will be stuck with Bob Doyle....oopps I mean McCain for the duration.

I'm not counting on this scenario. Until and unless Mac goes Boom, I'm assuming he'll be the nominee, and I'll push him with all the enthusiasm I can for someone I neither trust nor like, because the Democrat alternative is worse.

But man, it's fun to dream about Mitt coming to the rescue, if only to make TCO's head explode. Maybe that would shut him up.

<blockquote>But instead you just toss out lies, exaggerations, and pointless statements that are refuted/disproved ad nauseam.

It was my mistake to ever reply to your comments.

Nice try. You throw out the word lies and pointless statements, however this sounds more like an opinion. Otherwise you would have provided an example. Right?
Stay on the jv, varsity is for the CHOSEN few.

How about this one, oh Chosen one?
<blockquote><strong>
Tell Mitt’s son to shut the hell up and keep daddy warbucks at home. You had your chance and Mav took you out behind the woodshed after being outspent fifteen to one nationally. One of Mitt’s boys(maybe all of them) will run by 2030 since getting beaten in Presidential primaries has evidently become a family tradition. I even saw his staffer Bay Buchanon the day the Times smeared the Mav talking more about how Mitt and the comservatives got screwed instead of McCain. Enough, you lost, be a man and go away.

THE CHOSEN ONE on February 25, 2008 at 11:09 AM
Tell me why Mitt Romney is evil because he earned his money and why John McCain is NOT- because he married (via adultery) his money?

I’m having trouble with the difference here. And I’m sure you can explain it because you seem to know everything.

Somehow taking your inheritance of tens of millions, investing into hundreds of millions doesn’t exactly resonate with the american people as “work” or “earning”. Smoke another one bro.

THE CHOSEN ONE on February 25, 2008 at 11:40 AM
We’re still waiting to hear how much you admire McCain’s way of “earning” his money. As in marrying the daughter of a gazillionaire and wooing her while his WIFE suffered with illness at home with his children… (ADULTERY).

I’m not here to judge McCain but when you villify Romney because he has money… I’d like an explanation why money is ok for McCain and not for Romney.

There is no resurrection for Romney and his.
Willard(flip flop)Romney will stay dead.

Maybe he'll run as an independent...he was an independent at the time of Reagan/Bush...he doesn't want to go back to Reagan/Bush.

<blockquote>Fred was not a stalking horse for McCain. If that was the case, he would have stayed in long enough to ensure McCain got the nomination, but Romney, Huck and Paul were still hanging in when Fred got out. Also, Fred didn’t bother to endorse McCain until he had a virtual lock.

<blockquote>They made a visit to our hospital. What does that mean? You work there or you were in there being treated? If work there, good for you. If being treated, hope nothing too serious.

<blockquote>Agreed. The stalking horse theory might have legs to it, no pun intended. It certainly worked that way, didn’t it.

Fred was not a stalking horse for McCain. If that was the case, he would have stayed in long enough to ensure McCain got the nomination, but Romney, Huck and Paul were still hanging in when Fred got out. Also, Fred didn't bother to endorse McCain until he had a virtual lock.

You have no idea. Newt thinking he's gonna coming in like the 2nd Messiah of the right has another think coming. No way Jose. Not after he stood behind Chuck and Huck cheering those suckers on. Not after he went on El Rushbo's show and said the Reaganism needs to change. Newt's all about Newt, bottom line.

SECOND LOOK A FRESH RED MEAT! I WANT SOME ALLAH!

Just so we're clear, if Romney was still in the race, which he isn't, and my choices were still the same plus Romney, yes I'd vote Romney. But since he is not running anymore, the whole idea is a mute one. My dilemma now is, do I write someone in on March 4th, or vote Huckabee in hopes that a majority of other Texans do the same and we can force some kind of brokered selection at the National Convention. Given the original slate, Romney would have been my number 3 or 4 choice for the nod.

<blockquote>Careful, <strike>straigh-talk</strike> common sense gets them upset.

THE CHOSEN ONE on February 25, 2008 at 2:47 PM</blockquote>This whopper coming from the one poster here most lacking in the quality.

If you had any intellectual honesty you would at least attempt to respond to the points raised, attempt to defend your statements, and engage others. But instead you just toss out lies, exaggerations, and pointless statements that are refuted/disproved ad nauseam.

It was my mistake to ever reply to your comments.

<blockquote>I actually met Mitt Romney and his family just as Fred was fizzling. They made a visit to our hospital and I was so impressed.

They made a visit to our hospital. What does that mean? You work there or you were in there being treated? If work there, good for you. If being treated, hope nothing too serious.

<blockquote>Fred, that was more than just a disappointing, Hind sight is 20/20, and I’m not quite sure there was not something more there going on in those smoke filled back rooms.
