OK…after I filled the fresh bucket I just hafta say:
Oliver Oliver, seldom before had a man stood for more–evil than Castro. Sounds like Oli has been down that dark thin, winding stairway without any banister because he has sunk to the bottom of the slimy barrel that is Hollyweird. The City of Dreams will never return to what it once was before the looneys took over. But I shed no tears for traitors.
I wonder if his descent is in direct correlation to the fact that very few people go to see his movies anymore…

So-oo, the victim’s of Castro’s regime should be excuse the thirty years imprisonment because “he didn’t consider himself a bully” and acted on “ideals”. Hey Ollie, ya know what?

Hitler was acting on ideals and didn’t consider himself a bully either. He also was not looking for a profit, he considered everything he did as “What (was) best for the fatherland.” Hense the Volkswaggon (People’s car) that could be afforded by everyone.

The same for Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Mihn every other tyrant in history. ALL of the claimed to be doing “What was best for their people.” But you only remember this when you are attacking George W. Bush.

When you are only shown what the government or dictator wants to show you, you will only see what the dictator shows you. If you do not question you will be, or are, easily impressed.

Stop talking to the leader and talk with those on the receiving end of the dictators desires. Again you will find mindless robots serving the dictator.

Go one step further, and you will experience the real problem that the dictator talks about ending-poverty and the associated lifestyle it fosters, ill health, high crime, etc.

After hearing this, I think we can all rest assured that his upcoming George W. Bush biopic will be everything less than the “fair” look at our current president’s life Stone has promised it will be.

But, let me get this straight… it’s good that Castro didn’t torture and enslave his own people for money, right? Therefore, it must be equally wrong of Mr. Stone to expect me to be enslaved by sitting through one of his many torturous films; particularly if I have to pay for it.

I also find it amusing that in the first half of the dialogue, he practically admits to being a buffoon (“…my problem is I always root for the underdog…”) for sympathizing with such an unlikable and cruel ruler. And if Obama is the new Castro… I’m taking a second, third, fourth, and five-hundreth look at moving to Australia.

I think we can all learn a lesson here: It’s okay to dictate the lives of your own citizens, to torture them, to subject them to your own tyranny… so long as you don’t do it for money. No, seriously! Authoritarian Power + Captive Audience – Money = Saintliness. Therefore the same equation plus money must equal:
