A few business items as we head into a new week at Hot Air:
1) It is with regret that I announce that Bryan Preston has left the company. He has chosen to take a position as a producer with the Laura Ingraham radio show. We thank him for all the time and talent he devoted to making Hot Air a success. Please wish him all the best in his new endeavors.
2) We’ll be announcing an exciting new addition to Hot Air tomorrow morning. Stay tuned.
3) We will continue to pursue more livestreaming and multimedia additions on the site. More on that as it develops. If you have video editing skills (we are looking especially for someone with chroma key experience) and are interested in helping us continue Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch show, let us know at tips@hotair.com
4) Be sure to thank See-Dubya and Patterico for their guest-blogging. We’re honored to have them as part of the extended Hot Air family.
5) Please join me in taking this opportunity to thank the indefatigable Allahpundit for his ongoing role as Hot Air’s lead blogger, newshound, and guru. The Big A’s dedication, sharp eye, trademark wit, and independent spirit put the “Hot” and the “Air” in Hot Air 24/7. We’re lucky to have him.
6) Finally, let me take a moment to thank all of you for your tips, contributions, comments, support, and readership. You keep us aloft. Together, we’ve built one of the fastest-growing, vibrant online conservative communities over the past two years. Stay tuned as we evolve, improve, and move upward and onward. The adventure continues!

AP, props to you for all you put into this site. Your writing is consistently insightful, and I enjoy your sense of humor, as well as your knack for turning a phrase. You’re an alpha in the rough, dude.

I can’t believe Bryan is leaving, but at least he’s going to a great show. Good luck, Bryan.
I can’t say it any better than that, and I agree with 4. Hopefully one of them will be the new addition.

Goodbye Bryan! I cherrypicked this site for Bryan’s comments in the past because our political views were so close. You will be sorely missed.

Drop by and say hi, every now and again.

Good luck to you Bryan, you sure could have picked a whole lot worse than Laura. Question to MM. Who you going to get crazy enough to sing duets with you, or beat up on with WII??
pueblo1032 on February 25, 2008 at 11:51 AM
We love the video clips for sure and it’s great to finally be able to register and contribute to the board after being a ‘lurker’ for well over a year +.
Bryan did a great job on the site and good luck to you at your new job.

You will definitely be missed, Bryan – I wish you all the best, though. Good luck producing Laura Ingraham’s show. Maybe one day the hosting bug will bite you and we’ll soon be listening to clips here at Hot Air of you on your own show :)
SisterToldjah on February 25, 2008 at 12:08 PM
What a way to start the week. I log on and find out Bryan’s gone? Damn. Well, best of luck to him! I’m sure he’ll be great at Laura Ingraham’s show.
madne0 on February 25, 2008 at 12:32 PM
I’m glad to hear that dear Bryan will be helping Laura out.
I will do my best not to give AP (and See-Dub) a hard time…
Bottom line: they are servants of and for the Right cause.
Christine on February 25, 2008 at 12:48 PM
Good luck in your new position Bryan. At least you’re keeping with the best talent around.
.
We’ve enjoyed your services here, but now look forward to hearing your influence with Laura’s show.

Congratulations!

Bryan, best of luck in your new gig. If you have to go, it’s a worthy place to go to.
And Allahpundit, thank you for all you do. In many ways, you are HotAir, which is a high compliment. I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to see a story on Drudge, like this morning’s Hillary-Obama-turban-picture follies, and to know, just know, that you’ll have the perfect comment on the situation.
Splunge on February 25, 2008 at 1:08 PM
Best wishes on your new endeavor Bryan!
As for Hot Air suggestions, bring back Vent!
Spitfire9 on February 25, 2008 at 1:24 PM
Bryan, all the best to you. HotAir.com’s loss of your insight, especially on military affairs (sincere thanks for serving America), is Laura’s gain. Hope she deserves it.

Bye Brian.
I’ll miss you TONS.

Best of luck to Bryan.

Sad to hear about Bryan leaving. This is still my top blog and I will continue to read it daily. I still wonder where Lee went as I have not seen a post from him in a very long time.
I still cannot catch a registration period of Michelle’s site so I am still unable to comment there; it is the only blog that I regularly read that I am unable to comment on.
zerodamage on February 25, 2008 at 1:33 PM
Oh and advice for Michelle Malkin, CEO:
1) Please bring back Vent. One reason why I got addicted was Vent. I hope you do a Vent with Jonah Goldberg about Liberal Fascism.
2) Please try to merge with Maverick News Media & Atlas Shrugs. Bringing in Pamela Geller would be like when CNN Headline News had Lynne Russell – kiss, kiss, bang, bang (or something like that from old school)!
3) Please insist everybody be super polite on the comment threads.
4) Consider going into print media or partnering with Townhall.com’s great print magazine.
5) Please give me the tools to make my kid brother an addict as much as I am.
6) Please consider after today selling new comment registration to users as I presume many are like me and missed a few opportunities to much chagrin.
7) Please enjoy life as the greatest CEO in the conservative moment alive today.
Thanks for all you do. Absolutely dig your site – especially since I had to wait two long years to get comment privledges.
HotAirJosef on February 25, 2008 at 1:33 PM
Congratulations and best of luck Bryan. Whenever ‘How to Save a Life’ comes on the air, I just sing you and Michelle’s version.

You will be missed, Byan. I have always enjoyed your posts. Good luck in the new job.
Aggie85 on February 25, 2008 at 1:44 PM
Bryan,
Well this sucks for us but it sounds like great news for you. I’m a Laura Ingraham fan too and that sounds like a great position.
Before you go, can you just tell me how you manage to only get jobs with attractive, conservative women. Seriously, I need to acquire that skill from you.
But seriously, good luck in all you do. It has been great reading you here at HA and interacting with you on occasion. You’ll be very much missed.
John on February 25, 2008 at 1:47 PM
Congrats Bryan… Goodluck in your new job!
Nineball on February 25, 2008 at 1:47 PM
Heart-ache! I’ve always hearted BP. But that Ingraham gig is a good one, congratulations!
Thanks to See-dubya and Patterico- I always enjoy your posts.
And last but not least, AllahPundit- you deserve a universe of gold stars for all your excellent work.
Thanks Michelle and all HotAir staff for giving us a place to learn, process and discuss while having fun.

Bryan,
So-long, it’s been good to know you,
so-long, it’s been good to know you,
so-long, it’s been good to know you,
but I must be traveling on…

Since my town of Midlothian went wet I guess I’ll have a drink and make a toast to Bryan’s Hot Air memories! Like the School buses sitting in the water during Katrina ,his trip to Iraq or the pic of old amigo Juan in the McCain strategy room…..
Thanks Bryan and Get Psyched with the new Job Baby!!!!!!!

Thanks for everything, Bryan. I’m sure you’ll be a wonderful addition to the Laura Ingraham show.
You’re righ about AP, Michelle. Anyone who agrees to monitor The View and report on their antics on a daily basis is a team player, IMO.
