I despise my country’s permissive posturing on the issue of illegal immigration. I believe Ronald Reagan had a chance to prevent the current flood of foreign nationals invading our country. I believe every President since then, except GWB has ignored the issue. President Bush did not ignore the issue, but he ignored Americans with his push for Amnesty.

I am disgusted with illegal immigration and its impact on our neighborhoods, schools, hospitals, traffic, cities, states and our nation’s sovereignty.

That being said, I equally despise such shallow displays of thoughtlessness as the one on this t-shirt. I have known many Pedros. I have known many illegals. None of the Pedros I know are illegal.

That type of ethnic insult is valid ammo for the other side when they call us “nativists.” A shirt like that goes a long way at proving their perceptions. It does zero to advance America’s fight for a secure border.

I have the same response to this shirt as I did the first time someone told me to “Go back to Africa!”

The Deport Pedro phrase is a reference to the movie: “Napoleon Dynomite”

It is not a blanket reference to all folks named Pedro but about all Illegal aliens.

This thread shows how Republicans are really no different than Dems in many regards. Both sides are ripe with invective; insults displace logic. What does Chelsea’s appearance have to do with anything?

I don’t know if it’s sexism or residual cave dust infecting one’s brain, but to hear grown men disparaging a young woman who has done no discernable wrong, is disgusting.

Some of you sound like the same type of men who talk shit about a woman because she spurned their advances. I don’t know Chelsea. But I respect her role in honoring her parents and weathering the storm of crap for being a good daughter.

If she had not campaigned with her parents, she would have been ridiculed just the same. I see no reason to attack her. Her parents, on the other hand, are without regard.

That’s the problem with “pro-choice” people. They’re very anti-choice on many other issues, such as guns, school choice, and now light bulbs, of all things.
