Huckabee is winning no friends and no respect and no chance in 2012. The more I see this guy, the less I like him.

My main bone of contention is, and has been, the way the staff (and to some extent the community) at HA had been virtually deifying Romney and ignoring the weaknesses in his own conservative resume. Yes, all of the Republican candidates had problems, but for several months HA could only find them with Huckabee (and, occasionally, Ron Paul). I went back over the archives carefully, and counted up positive and negative stories about each candidate. The pro-Romney bias came through crystal clear, in spite of HA’s attempts to deny it.

I like HotAir. I figure if you’re going to be biased, at least you’re biased toward the conservative side of the spectrum, and since that’s where I am, I enjoy the discussion.

But that’s also why I get so frustrated with Allah and Bryan at times. Ok, I understand that they have their opinions. I get that they were pro-Romney. I get it – I really do. Just don’t try to kid me that y’all have been fair in your treatment (as you did once – remember?).

Frankly, I’d rather see Huckabee in office than Clinton, and far, far more than Obama (that guy’s platform is just plain frightening socialism with the merest coating on it). Given a wider choice, I’d really like to see Duncan Hunter, but he just didn’t make the dance.

Not trying to spend a lot of time defending Huckabee – just trying to say, Mitt Romney isn’t God, even though most of you seem to mistake the two.

He also slammed the no-amnesty pledge as Tancredo creation that he would never sign.

Then, of course, he signed it right before the South Carolina primary.

This guy is just like John Kerry. He does and says whatever it takes to get him votes. Zero principles.

You’re actually calling Huckabee the “Republican Jimmy Carter?” Um…let’s see here. Huckabee is probably the most pro-Israel candidate running and Jimmy Carter wrote the sequel to Mein Kampf. And that’s just one of the many differences. How absurd. Where could I have possibly gotten the idea that Huckabee is hated here and being treated unfairly?

Huck really is not Jimmy Carter. With Huckabee I sense that he really has a passion for his religion, while with Carter I get more of a feel it is a philosophy of political value. This is just a sense. I cannot read Carter’s mind, but it get a bad read off of Carter that he viscerally hates me personally. I do not find that in Huck.

Carter has bought the entire third world good-our world bad dogma, and you can go to Frontpage to read about his stand on Israel

On the other hand, I have lost trust in the root motives of the GOP candidates including Huck. Huck really was pro illegal until the campaign. Because of all the head games, I cannot take anything at face value

I would be happiest if the Mother ship landed and took away the whole bunch so we could start over and run a primary based upon convictions instead of schemes

Too bad unlike Churchill, Huck’s idea of “not surrendering” is to chuck every single position he has except abortion and gay marriage in favor of a pledge to positions that are against his soul.

Huck’s quixotic crusade will come to an end soon.

He’ll also make life in Hell much more comfortable, being as how it will have frozen over before Huckabee gets elected President.

Well, bigred, I don’t believe Huckabee has been lying. You have a “when did you stop beating your wife” approach going on here. I don’t see the point in spending what to me is valuable time answering every little hateful attack from people like you when they are just like Doritos: Defend away, we’ll make more.
