Talking, in part, to me? If you are going to be disdainful, at least get the metaphor correct. I’d be more Chicken Little than Pollyanna. I don’t count her out until the convention is over. She performed well last night. Unexpectedly so. She ignored the conventional wisdom “has to come out swinging” and tapped the emotion of the crowd for herself— while Obama was in the room. Let’s look today and tomorrow for poll results in Texas and Ohio.

Fact: She is losing support every single day now.
Fact: Her campaign is in financial straits.
Fact: She has few, if any major endorsements.
Fact: She got booed last night, not a good sign.

So, unless she has Bubba Billy tied up in some bunker somewhere to prevent him from going out and throwing yet another public grand mal hissy fit, maybe even take a swing at a reporter asking the wrong question or a Obama supporter, she is done.

Unless she has some major dirt against B.O that will guarantee he will either have to back out of the race or will damage him politically, she is done.

Unless she can rally the entire populations of Texas and Ohio to her side within the next couple of days, she is done.

Bottom line, unless she can pull off what amounts to a miracle in the next few days,. SHE IS DONE.

I’ll vote Republican on the down ballot, to be sure, but the top spot I’ll leave blank. Of course, McCain can hope that other conservatives are less obstinate than I am. We’ll know in a little more than eight months.

He has more problems than just votes. Obama has piles of cash whereas McCain is already running a $7m deficit. People like myself, who usually give money to the RNC are sitting this one out. I doubt that they will have the “feet on the ground” that Rove is so famous for mobilizing. His “base” is already turning on him like a pack of hyenas and more stories like yesterday’s will be trickling out at the most inopportune moments. His biggest hope to win is to have Hill and Bill secretly sabotaging Obama so she can run in 2012 (yes, she’s delusional enough to think it’s not completely over for her).

Her faith was in the fact that their money and power would naturally bring more of the same. She has thrown away countless chances to help Americans in order to promote self serving agendas such as homosexuality, and abortion on demand. She and her well deserved life partner will hopefully fade away, only to be revisited as a punchlines and water marks of stinging mediocrity.

Sorry Pax, but I think your disgust for Obamillary and nausua over the possibility of one of them being President has caused you to lose perspective on some basic salient facts.

The people who are refusing to vote for McCain are doing so out of personal conviction. The Republican party did not nominate someone they feel they can support. So, they are not supporting him. Thats not hypocrisy, it is choice… or have you forgotten what democracy means? They do not owe you or Mccain their vote. If there is not a candidate anywhere they can stomach they don’t have to vote period. Thats true democracy in action, warts and all. Try to remember that through the waves of naseua.

Maybe we shouldn’t nominate someone who has stuck his finger in the eyes of a large group of people we normally count on for support. You think? At minimum we shouldn’t act surprised and angry if we do it, and that group walks away or acts unmotivated at the very least. That would be… dare I say it? (I dare! I dare!) somewhat hypocritical.

Besides do you really think insulting them is the way to get your view across? You are doing more harm than good. And if it weren’t for the queasy stomach you have from listening to the debate, you would have known better. Go take some tums, get some rest and come back all chipper tomorrow morning!

And stop listening to Obama in general. He, like most empty calories, is tough on the digestion.

I don’t want to attack the McCain haters; I understand why someone might not want to vote for him. I’d love not to vote for him myself, but the future of the country is too important to throw away in order to spite him. I love my country more than I’d hate electing John McCain.

Vote for him, and then do whatever it takes afterward to make it clear that it was a vote against Obama. I’m going to send McCain a letter to that effect in case he wins. If everyone did that, if he got tens of thousands of protest letters, or if conservative groups staged some public protests, it might be noted. It might be possible to keep his feet to the fire long enough to keep him from screwing things up too much.

If Obama wins because Republicans like you refuse to give Maverick the vote, no one will ever note your protest. Instead, we’ll hear all about the overwhelming tide which swept the Messiah into office with a huge mandate for New Socialism.
