If there’s a bright side to today’s unpleasantness in Belgrade, it’s that it’ll refocus Hollywood’s attention back on the Serb menace where it belongs. Click the image to watch.

I’m outrageously outraged.
And Muslim Rage Boy will be so outrageously outraged that it will be outrageous.

I’ll may pay to see that. If it is really pro-American I’ll go see it twice.
TheSitRep on February 21, 2008 at 5:46 PM
I may
doh!
TheSitRep on February 21, 2008 at 5:47 PM
Actually, you did. But I will see the movie anyway. Thanks.
Kini on February 21, 2008 at 5:47 PM
“Quaid is a great actor”….?
That did it for me….I’ll wait for the DVD.
Limerick on February 21, 2008 at 5:48 PM
Muslim bad guys and American good guys? That hasn’t happened in Hollywood since “True Lies”.
I bet this movie makes more money than “Rendition”, “Redacted” and “Lions to Lambs” combined.
Tony737 on February 21, 2008 at 5:49 PM
ROTFL
malan89 on February 21, 2008 at 5:50 PM
The previews on TV don’t make it look like that at all.
lorien1973 on February 21, 2008 at 5:51 PM
Also loved the part….’Quaid….is torn between voting for McCain and Obama’. Wow! Love a decisive man.
Limerick on February 21, 2008 at 5:51 PM
I’ve met a few of these people. Makes you wish it was legal to smack someone clear across the face.
malan89 on February 21, 2008 at 5:54 PM
prediction: the republican did it.
jimmer on February 21, 2008 at 5:54 PM
Would it be good enough for the Blue Ray?
Kini on February 21, 2008 at 5:54 PM
Exact-a-mundo!

That would be, ahem, “Blu-Ray”. ;-)
malan89 on February 21, 2008 at 5:57 PM
HA HA!!! BRAINS!
Sorry, I’m technology challenged.
Kini on February 21, 2008 at 6:02 PM
That actually looks pretty good. Finally, Hollywood makes a good guy/bad guy movie normal people can enjoy. The only problem is, they’re STILL fantasizing about shooting the President.
Tony737 on February 21, 2008 at 6:05 PM
This looked like another CIA grrr movie. I’m glad to know that it isn’t.
NeoconNews.com on February 21, 2008 at 6:10 PM
Baby steps, baby steps. I could have been a worse movie if Sean Penn was the star.
Kini on February 21, 2008 at 6:18 PM
Did Fred Thompson play the president?
jaime on February 21, 2008 at 6:20 PM
I love a good documentary.
THE CHOSEN ONE on February 21, 2008 at 6:21 PM
Probably trying to hold off the CAIR outrage until the last possible moment, instead of getting the movie pulled before it plays.
And I thought the bad guys in “The Kingdom” were Muslims? I liked that movie.
Frozen Tex on February 21, 2008 at 6:21 PM
I know it’s been a while since they came out, but the terrorist depicted in The Siege and True Lies were Islamic.
Marc01 on February 21, 2008 at 6:35 PM
Looks great.
Midas on February 21, 2008 at 6:43 PM
Marc, “The Siege” had American Troops breaking the law but “True Lies” was one of the best movies ever made for one-liners:
“What kind of a sick b!tch takes the ice cube trays outta freezer?!”
“Boy, I remember the first time I got shot out of a cannon.”
“I got a little d!ck, it’s pathetic!”
Tony737 on February 21, 2008 at 6:45 PM
Okay, Hollywood. When are you going to make a film about the Six Day War? I guarantee that would be a blockbuster.
aunursa on February 21, 2008 at 6:46 PM
Yeah well…I personally wasn’t really all that impressed with the trailer when I saw it at the Arclight in Sherman Oaks.
I just remember it being very, very, very loud with lots of explosions and panicky folks running around with guns.
Not my cup o’ tea.
The Ugly American on February 21, 2008 at 6:51 PM
Aunursa, I thought the same thing while watching the History Channel show about that war. It has everything, huge battle scenes, the good guys vastly outnumbered … oh wait, I forgot, Hollywood thinks Israel is the bad guy.
Tony737 on February 21, 2008 at 6:52 PM
Say the following with Chris Crocker. inflection:
Leave Michael Moore’s Minute Men aloooooone!
Montana on February 21, 2008 at 7:31 PM
I’ll wait for the DVD to be on sale at Wally World
LimeyGeek on February 21, 2008 at 7:42 PM
And in True Lies we had ‘the gub’ment’ misusing it’s surveillance powers just to find out if a wife is cheating or not.
Still didn’t stop it from being a damn good film, and when I watched the Siege I thought that was pretty good too. Would it be something produced post 2001? One does wonder..
Reaps on February 21, 2008 at 8:33 PM
Is Joel Surnow looking for something to do now? Maybe after the film has its run, he could set up talks for a new TV series.
Connie on February 21, 2008 at 8:50 PM
I mentioned this because that fact makes Quaid a relative conservative compared to the rest of Hollywood, which would never vote McCain and is solidly pro-Obama.
William Hurt plays President Ashton, who is a good guy.
Also, one other thing I just added to my review, which I forgot: the one really inaccurate part is where the producer of GNN (the CNN proxy in this movie) gets mad when the reporter tries to insert her leftist spin about those who hate America. Like they ever get upset about that!–as we know, they encourage it.

That’s what made it so much fun!

Cant wait!
Thx Debbie.

only Mel Gibson seems to have the talent to write and produce movies where valor and righteousness are the theme.
the rest of hollywood cant stand to possibly put the white man in a favorable light.
thats why hollywood can eat it!
Sonosam on February 22, 2008 at 12:21 AM
I would love to see that. They’d have to have Ridley Scott direct it (after Black Hawk Down), or even Zack Snyder (who did 300). A movie done in either of those styles showing the Israelis taking it to a pack of genocidal muslims and sticking it to them would be enough to cause world-wide strokes and heart attacks amongst the ‘liberal elites’.
Virus-X on February 22, 2008 at 2:25 AM
That’s all I got from the trailer when I saw it in theaters before “I Am Legend.” Pass.
But, upon reading this review, I’ll cross my fingers and see it at least once this weekend.
hatespam on February 22, 2008 at 2:33 AM
I might go see it now.
srhoades on February 22, 2008 at 9:30 AM
I’ve been so starved for something like this at the box office, I’m getting my tickets now. Love the cast. Maybe our money will help them decide to make more like it!
Numenorean on February 22, 2008 at 9:37 AM
What gets me is the blindness of the people who would say the idea of showing Islamic terrorists planning and performing an attack like is portrayed in the movie should be considered offensive.
Has ANYONE been reading the newspapers or watching TV since 1970? The way things have escalated, the plane hijackings of Black September are almost a quaint footnote compared to the carnage these lunatics have unleashed. Suicide bombings in and around THEIR OWN PEOPLE not being the least of it.
We know who the bad guys are. Keep shining a light in their faces. Preferably a laser pointer to paint their positions for a large amount of well-aimed munitions.

Interesting statement. Are you aware that over 400 christian churches have been burned in Kosovo over the last 10 years? Are you aware that, aside from 1, all the mass graves that were used as justification for bombing serbian citizens, bridges, hospitals and schools never materialized? Are you aware that the serbs actions were prompted by albanian muslim atrocities against christians? Are you aware that albania is 85% muslim and Kosovo is close and as soon as this settles down they will begin anew their ethnic and religious cleansing? Are you aware that Kosovo has always been a provence of Serbia and that it is mineral wealthy? Are you aware that they kept milosevic imprisoned without trial because he probably would have been acquitted so they hoped he would die first? “They” would be the haque who think they should be able to try American soldiers and officials for war crimes. Just wondering about the “serb menace” remark.
peacenprosperity on February 22, 2008 at 10:40 AM
Oh yeah, and are you aware saudi arabia has been very active in kosovo for years?
