Video: Mary Katharine Ham, O’Reilly unite to rip on nutroots blogs
posted at 10:35 pm on February 20, 2008 by Allahpundit
You want that red meat. You need that red meat.
Exit question, acknowledging that the Hammer as always is the picture of loveliness: Who’d she lose a bet to that required her to wear that scarf? Why, it almost qualifies as a cravat!

Who’d she lose a bet to that required her to wear that scarf?
you really are a beta male aren’t you?
Smiles on February 20, 2008 at 10:40 PM
You?
She looks sharp; maybe she’s off to a Bree and Chablis Obama party.
Spirit of 1776 on February 20, 2008 at 10:42 PM
You guys like the scarf, really? Don’t get me wrong; she looks good. It’s just so … un-Hammerish.
Allahpundit on February 20, 2008 at 10:43 PM
IMHO, the scarf only didn’t work because of the color shirt she was wearing.
amerpundit on February 20, 2008 at 10:43 PM
O’Reilly is such a “nerd”, geeezz..
Ham looking good again. :)
The scarf, is odd.. however it brings out her good skin tones.
>:}
OK, I will shut up now.
Chakra Hammer on February 20, 2008 at 10:46 PM
Maybe the scarf is hiding a hickey. That’s the only reason I ever wore a scarf in high school.
aero on February 20, 2008 at 10:47 PM
To wear a scarf on tv and not be either a weatherman or pretentious…well that’s a tough row to hoe (Fredism of the day). She pulls it off, that’s all.
Spirit of 1776 on February 20, 2008 at 10:47 PM
And by “Skin Tones” obviously that was referring to nice skin.
smooth, and soft.. ohh…
ok.. thats enoug. :)
Chakra Hammer on February 20, 2008 at 10:48 PM
By the way, Drudge is reporting that our first missile hit the decaying satellite.
amerpundit on February 20, 2008 at 10:50 PM
Maybe they’ve turned down the thermostat in the studio?
PolitiNOOB on February 20, 2008 at 10:53 PM
Sweet!
Chakra Hammer on February 20, 2008 at 10:54 PM
The scarf was definitely (I had to google that to make sure I spelled it right) a last second thing. I don’t think the Hammer would get on TV like with that thing….not to say she didn’t look her usual stunning. I was waiting for Bill to say something….what’s with the big pink thing?
malan89 on February 20, 2008 at 10:57 PM
You’re getting there Bill…
Pax americana on February 20, 2008 at 10:57 PM
Its a fashion statement, AP.
Mary Katharine jazzed up her outfit with a splash of Pink. I thought it brought out her eyes….. sort of the “Pretty in Pink” effect. Maybe her whole point was that it was un-Hammerish. Its the beguiling unpredictability of Woman.
Hey, it was certainly no cravate ordinaire. More of a fashion babushka, and certainly far, far from a pedestrian schmatte….
Mary Katharine, you are the tops. Hey, btw, who is that troglodyte you keep talking to every week, the one who thinks you are personally responsible for all internet smut? What a tool !!!
Always Right on February 20, 2008 at 10:59 PM
Does he EVER let her finish a sentence? Geez.
HATE.THE.SCARF.
SouthernGent on February 20, 2008 at 10:59 PM
Unrelated to the beautiful MK and her not so beautiful scarf….we can expect to see this in a Media Matters post tomorrow. You mess with the blogs, you mess with the liberal machine.
malan89 on February 20, 2008 at 11:01 PM
Heh. You guys are arguing about a scarf.
frankj on February 20, 2008 at 11:06 PM
MKH looks regal tonite, and I love articulate and calm she
analyze’s these topics in contrast to the moonbatty left
bloggers, and I wish O’Reilly would let his guests answer
his questions and not interrupt them so they can finnish
their answers!
canopfor on February 20, 2008 at 11:06 PM
Just stop it! I had to go and google that. Now I feel ashamed.
AUINSC on February 20, 2008 at 11:08 PM
My bet is someone in the studio noticed her low cut blouse and said something. Too much sexiness on the screen.
William Amos on February 20, 2008 at 11:10 PM
Does he EVER let her finnish a sentence?Geez.

treats Dick Morris!

Ham the Interweb Maven! >:}
BTW, Hammer do you want “Maven” or “Mavin”?
Just words… ;)
Chakra Hammer on February 20, 2008 at 11:21 PM
All of my liberal friends wear scarfs like that…this is not a good sign.
OK_Nate on February 20, 2008 at 11:27 PM
She needed the scarf. She has dark hair, dark eyes (beautiful eyes) but also was wearing a very dark suit. On a lot of TVs she would have looked like an Oreo Cookie.
Mmmmmmm ….
doufree on February 20, 2008 at 11:30 PM
The scarf was fine. I know enough to know that I don’t know nothin about fashion. . . so I rarely comment about outfits. I thought that the whole piece was well done though by both the hammer and O’R.

FIRST LOOK AT SCARVATS
Entelechy on February 21, 2008 at 12:02 AM
I have nothing to add to the substantive debate going on about the difference between ideologies and their blogging styles.
Oh wait. I’m sorry. We were discussing the scarf! It looked OK to me. Just because MKH will punch you out if she’s working drive thru and you throw your coke on her, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a softer side :-)
Ordinary1 on February 21, 2008 at 12:11 AM
The scarf looks bad. She looks overly made up too. I agree she is hiding something. Hickeys?
She gets my vote for hottest conservative babe even with the scarf.
deewhybee on February 21, 2008 at 12:18 AM
That’s what I thought when I first saw it live. Makes the most sense. It would explain why she’s wearing a pink scarf with a blue blouse. Clashing!
malan89 on February 21, 2008 at 12:20 AM
Well played.
Spirit of 1776 on February 21, 2008 at 12:21 AM
Maybe she’s covering up a hickey.
SnarkVader on February 21, 2008 at 12:26 AM
nah, the scarf doesn’t do it for me. and i’m not sure pink is a good color for her.
lol at myself for having this thought process.
Midas on February 21, 2008 at 12:28 AM
She is so close to letting bill have it with his technophobic fuddy-duddy ways.
Taking bets on whether Bill will yell and point his finger at her.

RE: Exit Question.
Hickey
liquidflorian on February 21, 2008 at 1:18 AM
Ms. Ham has those Venus next door looks that she should not know the power of.
BL@KBIRD on February 21, 2008 at 1:21 AM
I don’t know fashion, so I’ll pass on the exit question (and especially on some of the answers already given). All I know is I haven’t seen an outfit yet that ruins the look.
For once, O’Reilly gets it.
steveegg on February 21, 2008 at 1:56 AM
That scarf is hideous, especially with the way the lipstick matches it. Sorry.
Great content though!
amkun on February 21, 2008 at 2:48 AM
She was hiding a tattoo that says “My face is up here^.”
Coronagold on February 21, 2008 at 3:54 AM
Oh, Lord, NO!
MKH gave in to that silliness:
Um, no, it doesn’t. Is a notepad document self aware? If so, is it as smart as an XML document?
People want information to be free. Even people who do not necessarily have the right to publish that information.
I’ve added it to my list of pet peeves… just before “irregardless” …
darkpixel on February 21, 2008 at 5:48 AM
Glad I wasn’t the only one who thinks this. Scarf was fine, clashed just-a-bit but so what. That wasn’t as distracting as the makeup.
Speaking as a woman, MKH is naturally gorgeous and too much makeup just ruins a beautiful woman’s face, esp when she smiles – bc she’s even more pretty then. Makes me sad because someone in the makeup room’s doing this to her sometimes and she’s letting them. She never looks overly made up when she’s doing her own (in the HamNations etc).
Embarrassing tho, we’re spending all this time discussing her appearance. The other thing that struck me is how well she consistently deals with O’Reilly, who tho I admire his conservativeyness is, frankly, an interrupting jerk even to his fellow cons.
inviolet on February 21, 2008 at 5:54 AM
It’s time to send that “Go Hunting” video to the recycle bin, AP.
RedWinged Blackbird on February 21, 2008 at 7:19 AM
Maybe she is hiding hickies.
TheSitRep on February 21, 2008 at 8:24 AM
In tomorrow’s New York Times, they will report that MKH was observed walking around NYC with a shadowy male figure that day. That, combined with the scarf (obviously covering up a hickey) suggests she was having an illicit affair. With whom was she having an illicit affair? Nobody knows… But it is interesting that AP frequently links to her blog and posts her O’Reilly clips…
Wow, speculation is fun. I’d love to get paid to do this. Where can I apply to become a reporter at the NYT?
Outlander on February 21, 2008 at 8:44 AM
Scarf looks like a noose.
Wade on February 21, 2008 at 9:05 AM
Is it just me or does Mary Kathrine just look better each time she is on TV. She is really getting a sophisticated look. (with or without scarf)
Dasher on February 21, 2008 at 10:44 AM
Most leftists think conservatives are either evil and or dumb. Conservatives think liberals are, at worst, naive. I speak from authority because I used to be a leftists. I’m still liberal on most things but have become wiser with age. The reason the left can be so nasty is because they believe that conservatives are not good people and that when fighting a devil no quarter should be given. Actually it’s reminds me of what what Nietzsche said about fighting monsters-i.e., take care not become one yourself.
Sean68 on February 21, 2008 at 10:59 AM
Does he ever let anybody finish a sentence?
Jim Treacher on February 21, 2008 at 11:44 AM
Only when he conducts highly relevant interviews with models and porn stars.
Hollowpoint on February 21, 2008 at 11:54 AM
Yeah, lose the scarf. And by the way, here is WikiLeaks.
Mark Jaquith on February 21, 2008 at 12:26 PM
Short of her wearin’ a keffiyah, Mary Katharine can wear whatever she wants…or nothing at all. hehehe.
Fine by me.
Teddy on February 21, 2008 at 1:32 PM
Not as bad as that previous clownish episode, but a horrible makeup job nonetheless.
