And he hits it out of the park. Juan, you magnificent bastard.
Exit question to long-time HA readers: Isn’t this our first TV mention unrelated to an MM appearance? And it only took two years. Next stop: A coveted mention on the Martha MacCallum primary night “Blogitics” roundup!

Congratulations to Allah and the HotAir gang!
And, well played, Juan Williams.
p40tiger on February 19, 2008 at 11:20 AM
Congratulate Bryan. It was his quote that got read.
Allahpundit on February 19, 2008 at 11:20 AM
She quoted Hot Air but didn’t directly mention it. Unless I missed it. I’ll have to go back and watch again… if I can keep from getting distracted by Megyn Kelly that is.
Yakko77 on February 19, 2008 at 11:21 AM
She misspoke? Definitely off putting.
Congrats HotAir, I wish more MSM types would read this blog.
d1carter on February 19, 2008 at 11:21 AM
Hey, congrats, oh Magnificent One!
Today should be interesting; Michelle will need Clintonian powers of spin to wiggle out of this tight spot.
PattyJ on February 19, 2008 at 11:21 AM
“First time” is not “most proud moment“.
If M O’B meant “most” she has to learn English.
I suggest she and Barack drop out of the race and go back to school.
History classes would help.
Then Philosophy.
Then Genetics.
profitsbeard on February 19, 2008 at 11:21 AM
Congrats Allah, Bryan and Michelle
Lance Murdock on February 19, 2008 at 11:21 AM
True, I just went back to check again who posted it, and was came back to mention Bryan in my congratulations.
Great job, Bryan! Thanks for the heads up, AP.
p40tiger on February 19, 2008 at 11:22 AM
Nonsense Juan . . . she perceives a recent movement toward Marxism and she meant exactly what she said. She also implies a dislike or hatred for our mutual heritage and history. One should keep a close eye on this woman an her political behavior.
rplat on February 19, 2008 at 11:24 AM
Congratulations indeed! Now we just need to get that humping robot put together with a HA commercial on the Sunday morning talking heads shows.
Limerick on February 19, 2008 at 11:24 AM
Thanks Megyn!
infidel on February 19, 2008 at 11:25 AM
For a liberal, Juan has his moments.

Hot Air props++
BKennedy on February 19, 2008 at 11:26 AM
I saw that clip earlier and though, “hey, HotAir wasn’t mentioned in a MM context.” Megyn Kelly likes you guys, she really likes you (or at least some researcher/producer). Either way, the words came from her mouth, you magnificent bastards.
Wineaholic on February 19, 2008 at 11:26 AM
I love waking up to Megyn every morning.
Congrats, Bryan!
sleepy-beans on February 19, 2008 at 11:27 AM
Yeah, safe to say that a producer laid that on her plate.
Allahpundit on February 19, 2008 at 11:27 AM
There he goes letting the air out of my blimp.
infidel on February 19, 2008 at 11:28 AM
Well done Hot Air! Congratulations Bryan, Allah, Michelle, another milestone to be proud of.
Zorro on February 19, 2008 at 11:30 AM
It’s good to see my comments and views are attractive to Megyn.
THE CHOSEN ONE on February 19, 2008 at 11:30 AM
Saw it live. Big indeed.
Lets watch the stats now…
Congrats.!
shooter on February 19, 2008 at 11:30 AM
All well and good, no doubt but Bryan’s the one we’d ask to do our school work while we played with our cool, hip friend Allah on the Wii.
So it’s easy to understand people steer towards the A-man.
Hoodlumman on February 19, 2008 at 11:32 AM
I’ll ask again… Does anyone remember when Barrack won Illinois? When Michelle was introducing him to the stage, after he won, she was showering him with all kinds of lines like, “Illinois choice”, “the best man for the job”, etc. etc. Then she said” “MY BABY DADDY”, Barrack Obama! Then he took the stage. I could not believe that. This statement, coming from a Harvard eduated woman….indeed.
kcd on February 19, 2008 at 11:33 AM
Gotta love Juan, liberal though he might be. And Colmes has been getting better of late, too.
Vizzini on February 19, 2008 at 11:34 AM
Didn’t MK mention HotAir on O’Reilly one time?
I may be wrong, though. It’s hard to follow MK’s segment on BOR when I try to hit mute when he talks and let her sound through.
BacaDog on February 19, 2008 at 11:34 AM
You would do well to concern yourself less with recognition from the MSM and more with continuing to produce a quality product. The latter will take care of the former. The former can only result in a dimunition of the quality of the site.
Charles Martel on February 19, 2008 at 11:35 AM
Very big of Juan to give her the benefit of the doubt about misspeaking. Wonder if he would do the same if a stupid remark had been made by the other side?
Les in NC on February 19, 2008 at 11:35 AM
mmmmmmmmmmmmm Megyn Kellyyyyyyyyy. She’s soooo fine. What, did she say something interesting? Wow, all that and brains too!
Tony737 on February 19, 2008 at 11:37 AM
Congratulations are in order every day here at Hot Air, not just when someone in the “Big” media notices. This site has some of the best content and analysis by both the site lords and us commenting plebes. So I’ll save my congratulations for tomorrow. Well…okay…it’s still pretty cool…congratulations!
Weight of Glory on February 19, 2008 at 11:38 AM
Was watching when it happened. Awesome, guys.
frankj on February 19, 2008 at 11:39 AM
I’d take Megyn to the point, I’d take Laurie Dhue as my bride.
THE CHOSEN ONE on February 19, 2008 at 11:39 AM
Kudos to Bryan and HA.
This rhetoric from M. Obama is the same crap I’m listening to from the elitist leftist well-to-do hamby pamby hoi pilloi. They still claim our countries reputation is hurt. Yet, they don’t acknowledge the Sarkozy, that mad frenchy guy that likes us. Nor do they look at current events in Tanzania or the former eastern block countries.
Their hatred of America isn’t very presidential.
Kini on February 19, 2008 at 11:39 AM
I think all this is much ado about nothing. She was speaking off the cuff and came up with unfortunate phrasing to explain how she feels about The Obamanation. Don’t get me wrong—I detest everything they politically stand for, but she just committed a Bushism (put food on her family, so to speak)
jdpaz on February 19, 2008 at 11:40 AM
I sense some blog envy here….but who wouldn’t want Megyn Kelly reading their words from her lips…..
Exit Question: Does Megyn Kelly prefer Alpha males or beta males?
jp on February 19, 2008 at 11:40 AM
Are you serious?
Allahpundit on February 19, 2008 at 11:41 AM
Congrats to all the HotAir team!
Thanks again for a thought-provoking blog & community forum.

Congratulations Bryan, Allah, and Michelle on being at the forefront of why blogs are overtaking the MSM in true influence over politics and discussion.
MadisonConservative on February 19, 2008 at 11:43 AM
Congrats Bryan, Allah, Michelle, and the many thoughtful posters here too.
Congrats to Juan for getting it right also.
The Hate America Left is the vile wing of the Dem party, the enemy within, and it needs to be vigorously rejected by mainstream America.
petefrt on February 19, 2008 at 11:43 AM
Megyn is head-and-shoulders above the rest of the screeching women they regularly front to comment on legal(ish) issues.
LimeyGeek on February 19, 2008 at 11:44 AM
Kelly talked about Allahpundit but due to the sexual nature of her comments, it was edit out.
Blake on February 19, 2008 at 11:45 AM
Yo Megyn, you’re quite a hot babe.
You dig nerds?
benrand on February 19, 2008 at 11:45 AM
Congratulations Bryan, Allah and Michelle.
Hot Air, Brilliant!
Geronimo on February 19, 2008 at 11:46 AM
Megyn Kelly is terrific. She should be good on legal issues. She is a lawyer, I once read. I wish she would have more opportunity as a prime time newscaster. Congratulations to her on her engagement.
indythinker on February 19, 2008 at 11:48 AM
yeah, she’s better than Judge Napalitono substance wise. he was on there last week claiming Demints bill to defund berkley was ‘unconstitutional’.
jp on February 19, 2008 at 11:51 AM
‘Bout time this blog got some props!
SouthernDem on February 19, 2008 at 11:55 AM
Yes. She doesn’t always get it right. Beautiful yet flawed. The tragedy of it all ;)
LimeyGeek on February 19, 2008 at 11:56 AM
should there be a limit on how insanely beautiful news readers can be? always funny when Megan has to co present with eric shawn who looks like a troll next to her.
zane on February 19, 2008 at 11:58 AM
Like Bill Clinton, I think that it’s time for Obama to send Michelle home for the duration of the campaign and ask her not to help anymore. He’ll have an easier time responding to McCain than his own wife! As a conservative, however, I think that we should donate to Michelle’s travel fund to keep her talking.
I am really looking forward to McCain debating Obama on FOX. The MSM will be asking them about their favorite restaurants and colors. They won’t dare ask a compelling question on an important issue. Obama would sound like Cindy Sheehan.
orlandocajun on February 19, 2008 at 12:00 PM
Byran’s post spoke exceptionally well to the story and had a mix of event flavors that would sell to just about any and every American at least once and putting Michelle O’s comment clearly in the WTH category. You come a long way in a short time, HA.
Kudos, to Juan too, but I have no doubt that the vast majority of Americans will be a little upset at this Freudian comment from the heart by Michelle O. And that’s not even considering the rancor that will simmer in minds of many Dems (super delegates, anyone?) as a result of her total lack of appreciation or recognition for the constant hard work and efforts they’ve put into effecting change in America these last 26 years.
Dusty on February 19, 2008 at 12:00 PM
Kudos, Bryan and HA! Also, I’m pretty sure John Gibson reads HA, I remember distinctly one time when he referred to “a conservative blog” without naming HA but whatever it was he was talking about, was something I had just read on HA using the same words HA had used to describe the incident.
JustTruth101 on February 19, 2008 at 12:00 PM
GO HOTAIR!!!!!!!!!
sko17 on February 19, 2008 at 12:03 PM
I put it to you, Michelle O – isn’t this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can say whatever you want about us, but we’re not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America.
there it is on February 19, 2008 at 12:12 PM
Yeah, as far as liberals go, there are much worse. I kinda like him actually. Smart guy.

Ditto.
mikeyboss on February 19, 2008 at 12:31 PM
Juan was not full of hot air when talking about a quote from HotAir. Refreshing.
By the way, Mrs. Obama meant every word she said.
SouthernGent on February 19, 2008 at 12:33 PM
JDpaz, I respectfully disagree. She said something very deliberate. She paused in the sentence. She knew her audience, she intentionally stated that she has not been proud of America until now, and she knew that her audience felt the same way. They applauded. Michelle should be ashamed of her remarks and better issue a clarification/apology PDQ.

Yeah, I’d jump the fence for Megyn…and my hubby knows it! LOL…Props to Hot Air…you are where I come for the important issues of the day…makes sense that Fox finally knows where the real news is!
ihasurnominashun on February 19, 2008 at 12:46 PM
A good day, that’s for sure.
Rush mentioned Michelle a short time ago to boot.
JammieWearingFool on February 19, 2008 at 12:49 PM
I suppose you can misspeak and say stuff that sounds odd or wrong or goofy. But saying that there is nothing about America in your adult life that makes you proud is the expression of a lefty, anti-American mindset that took many decades to form. And it is a peak into the basement window of Obama’s head as well. It looks like there is a lot of socialist America-hating claptrap in there, hidden away.
Tantor on February 19, 2008 at 12:52 PM
I remember when Megyn Kelly was Megan Kendall. At first I thought she married Greg Kelly, the Fox and Friends guy on the weekends, who is a Marine aviator, son of police commisioner of NYC and named as one of the 25 Most Eligible Batchelors by some magazine last year.
She is a lawyer and she is sharp. You ought to see her take on the ACLU types.
Can’t view the video at work so of course I will have to wait until I get home.
Just A Grunt on February 19, 2008 at 12:56 PM
I wish that were the case, but fear it isn’t. I think we have become a bit too confident in stereotyping Obama as just an empty suit. He is a smart guy and knows exactly what he is doing with his present Messiah presentations to reel in the nonbelievers. The few times I’ve seen him discuss actual policy in the debates, he presents as someone who has crunched the numbers and is a serious policy wonk when the situation calls for it. Put that presentation style, regardless of accuracy, together with the charm and smooth delivery. Then contrast that against McCain, particularly if John goes all sneering, sarcastic, and reverts back to his POW days,..I’m afraid the debates will not work in the GOP favor.
a capella on February 19, 2008 at 1:01 PM
I think the question should be “does she prefer an Apprentice Alpha male, or a Master Beta male?”
right2bright on February 19, 2008 at 1:11 PM
Juan is one on the VERY small list of libs I actually, occasionally respect; many times his notions are standard lefty silliness, but sometimes he does acknowledge the reason and merit found on the right.
urbancenturion on February 19, 2008 at 1:17 PM
MO is so attractive that i can imagine her in the next Blade movie, that is if Wesley isn’t (still?) in jail for tax evasion.
Christine on February 19, 2008 at 1:20 PM
Kudos Hot Air. This story is the focus at Fox News web but still no mention on Drudge; after being broken there last night. What gives?
carbon_footprint on February 19, 2008 at 1:22 PM
Attractive? If you say so – not my taste.
I see a rage-filled negro that glowers so hard she can melt faces. Not a reassuring prospect for residence in the White House.
LimeyGeek on February 19, 2008 at 1:24 PM
Hot Air needs to fight for there right to party!
custer on February 19, 2008 at 1:25 PM
My question for Michelle-O: Where do you think you can go so you can be proud of your country? Is there somewhere that currently exists on Earth that is better than the US?
BTW, I’ll tell you where you can go…
urbancenturion on February 19, 2008 at 1:27 PM
maybe she was saying MO is “mannish”
urbancenturion on February 19, 2008 at 1:28 PM
Negro?….Negro?

Good grief. Take a page out of the Bear Bryant book. When you score a touchdown, act like you’ve been there before and plan on returning.

Limey – conservatives are not racist. You might be looking for the DU forum.
indythinker on February 19, 2008 at 1:35 PM
I’m sure some conservatives are racist, liberals also, and independents.
What’s DU?

I can’t watch, as I am at work.

Ah. Never mind. Google is my friend.
Methinks you’ve lost the plot, indythinker.

Juan Williams is certainly a leftist, but he’s among the more reasonable of their talking heads.
Tzetzes on February 19, 2008 at 1:49 PM
If I were to be employed at Fox as a news person type, I doubt I would be able to do my job correctly if sat next to eith Julie Banderas, Megyn Kelly or The Duhester.
I’d stop and just look at them every five minutes and get lost…
I’ll stick to computers.

DMeNTe on February 19, 2008 at 3:16 PM
I think I’ve seen InstaGlenn, Hewitt and perhaps even Breitbart mention Hot Air on TV, but always in an “examples of Conservative New Media” context, not content.
So, Yowzah!
eeyore on February 19, 2008 at 3:21 PM
No, but it may be the first TV mention unrelated to an MM or MKH apearance.
radjah shelduck on February 19, 2008 at 3:23 PM
Let’s make sure we don’t let this new celebrity status and notoriety get to our heads. We must remain the humble Hot Air commenters that we are.
We are humble, more humble most other blogs.
Feel our humility.
