The whole point of economic conservatism is that the government solution is always the worst solution because they do things that cost the most and accomplish the least. In that instance, the best thing to do is precisely nothing. Then the market can work out a real solution.

But instead they demagogue the issue (just like the economy) and get most people thinking things are worse than they are (just like the economy). Bad government intervention will ensure catasrophe. Government disengagement will most likely result in the best possible outcome.

Having lived under such a (socialist) system, I wish upon you to have your teeth treated live, and to have your teeth’ nerves pulled out the same way. And that, just for starters. You have no idea what you are wishing for, nor what you write of. I also know the other “industrialized nations”‘ systems well.

So now we can officially equate Obama and Hillary to Castro with universal health care.
If you want health care like Cuba every other industrialized nation on earth, vote for Obama/Hillary…

Hahaha, it’s not surprising CNN omitted the most significant achievement and most profound change of all that Fidel brought to Cuba — the consolidation of the vast, complex and sometimes confusing Cuban criminal and civil code into one law.

Gee, I wonder if a similar email went out at CNN when Ronald Reagan died? Based on their coverage at the time, I’d have to say “no.”

But Ted forbid we treat Castro unfairly by reporting the facts. And now that you mention it, I haven’t heard a single reference to the thousands of political prisoners in Cuban prisons under Castro in any of CNN’s coverage. They did mention the fact that he has been repeatedly re-elected, but I don’t think they ever mentioned he was essentially unopposed.

Funny how lefties won’t believe in terrorists flying planes into civilian buildings, but when Fidel disappears for two years nothing is wrong, he’s the best thing next to Hillary (whom they still won’t vote for, because Obama promises change, to hope, because we can all believe in hope, and change).

Yes, he brought universal health care, which has pretty much killed off half the population.

Only thing CNN failed to explain is why, if Cuba was this wonderful place under Castro’s rule, so many Cubans risked their lives crossing the 90 miles of water between Cuba and Miami seeking freedom.

And just how well is the healthcare in Cuba?

Damn, we need our border security NOW! The Cuban Missile Crisis during JFK was frightful. Now imagine Cuba’s national upheaval inflamed by their own “Tropical Taliban” compounded by likely attempted Cuban infiltration by Islamic converts. Since Fidel held his powerful sway south of our border via “hate USA”, it seems feasible that terrorists trained by Islamic cells would seek safe harbor in Cuba, embraced by anti-US elements, possibly attempting their own coup or negotiations at least with Raul.

Cuba, if it does not remain home to Cubans, is a cauldron of trouble.

We’re self-employed; we pay a grand a month for the two of us. It’s a drag, but I just don’t think government health care is the answer. I’d rather pay and have the quality.
