I don’t know if Michelle Obama was an Affirmative Action admit to Princeton or not, but she has spoken in interviews about how people advised her that she did not have high enough grades or test scores for an Ivy League school. I suspect that her remarks may explain why commenters assume that her race played a significant role in her admission to Princeton.

Does Michelle want us to feel guilty because we notice that she’s black? Just what does this woman want?

Whether or not technology creates a barrier between God and man?

(Not a bad topic for a 17 year old kid if I do say so myself).

I would hate to have to defend what I wrote back then today (I am comfortable with my conclusions I expect the body/objections could use some re-work).

That said what I wrote back then (1988/99) does not necessarily reflect my view today, however hiding it from everyone until after the election is a pure BS move.

She just needs to keep talking. I feel a “macaca” moment coming.

I think I wrote something that shallow in Speech 101 as a Freshman, entitled “Redneck First, student second”.

First I heard of it.

As for Obama’s communist ties, in an LAT interview, he listed Occidental College prof Roger Boesche as the most influential thinker in his life. Boesche is a genius, no doubt, but he is also the resident Marx/Hegel/Nietzsche man on campus.

I actually like Obama and would vote for him over Hillary and McCain just on the basis of likeability and brains, but if the above are true, there is still enough subversive left in me that I think it would be kind of funny to have a crack-smoking, commie, bisexual black President. Ya say ya want a revolution… and ya got one. If he actually came out of the closet once he was elected, legalized drugs, and threw big gay drug parties in the White House, now that would be some serious comedy there. Like Putney Swope meets Network meets Boogie Nights meets The Boys in the Band meets Head of State, but different.

The same way any minority gets into a highly competitive institution: quotas.

I think that sentence could use a rewrite.

There is no doubt that quotas give women and minorities an unfair advantage, but there are plenty of minorities who would have advanced without these mandates.

Your reaction is precisely why Ward Connelly and many other conservative blacks loathe affirmative action.

I know that given a choice between a black doctor and a white doctor, I’ll choose the white doctor every time because I won’t worry that the doctor treating me got a pass into medical school. Yeah, its sad, but its also my health.
