Quicktime doesn’t like my 64 bit XP, and keeps prompting me to install a plugin so I can listen to this… even after I have supposedly downloaded and installed their latest.

Not bad points, although people getting so blargh over this issue, of all things, is.. peculiar. Although yes, wife of a presidential candidate and all..

Levin rocks

This is just another example of a black who’s had everything that this country has to offer, handed to her, yet holds this country in utter contempt, because it offers her nothing.

Why is her race relevant? Are whites any less capable of bad mouthing their own country. Injecting race may be cathartic to you, but to me it is quite revealing.

Heare me now, believe me later. The most lasting impression the Obama campaign will have on the Republican party will be to out a bunch of bigots. It’s sad, because I see his run as a chance for Republicans to make genuine inroads into minority communities. His “across the aisle” language takes the pressure off of many minorities who might have hidden their conservativism from friends and families.

Obama’s run is a gift to the right, but we will screw it up…as usual.

Oh yeah. I’m not calling you a bigot, so don’t get your panties in a wad. My point is that Barack Obama is perfectly beatable based on his lack of merit and accmomplishments. He’s young and still very green. He’s extremely liberal and has yet to cut his teeth on any real crisis or issues.

But the loudest conservative voices will ignore his blatant flaws to tickle their racial-funny-bones. The islamist rhetoric, national anthem non-controversyey, and incessant use of his middle name are only the beginning.

Referring to Michelle Obama as part of some detestable collective of blacks does not make you a racist. It does, however, make you another useless tool in the shed.

I am a fan of Levin, and I agree 100% with the point he is trying to make, but the screaming delivery doesnt help one bit, because it gives both the Obamans and the MSM a clean shot to brush this aside and take shots at the “crazy man on the radio.”

Well, I still think he’s going to win. The key now is to start mobilizing a legislative prevent and counterattack. We need to shut him and his self-absorbed wife down, and double quick. It’s time for some real hostility on the floor.. time to take it to the mattresses.

There was no “pledge” controversy; whoever called it that was in error.

That was my exact point.

echosyst, said BHO didn’t put his hand on his heart durring the pledge. swami asked when that happened and you replied with the link to the National Anthem incident. I just wanted to correct the record before that urban ledgend took flight again.

Anyway, if I may be so bold as to add an item 7 to my above list… does it matter to anyone that she actually said first time she’s been really proud? You know, as in, I’ve been proud but now I’m overflowing with pride?

“For the first time in my adult life time, I’m really proud of my country.”

As a matter of fact I did notice the title; I didn’t create the title, however (it appears that you need to be told that). Indeed, this was the controversy in question. It was a National Anthem controversy. There was no “pledge” controversy; whoever called it that was in error.

2) I do wish people would STFU about the hand-on-heart thing, because it IS manufactured and easily dismissed by Obama – but it distracts from real things like his insane policies, total ignorance of economics, lack of executive experience, and even the flag pin debacle where he said he wouldn’t wear a flag pin because he didn’t like what the US FLAG STANDS FOR!!!!

Damnit, people, stop passing around urban legends, especially when the facts are so heavily in your favor!

Point taken. To be more precise, is this any way to respond to someone who has (re)discovered their pride in America? Or… is this any way to treat someone back on the path to patriotism.

If her husband becoming President is what it takes for her to be proud of America, then something tells me it’s not exactly America she’s proud of.

From what I can tell, she seems to be on the path to tribalism.
