Oddly nice cross purposes in the democratic party.

Obama is screaming “Be elected not selected” and Hillary is saying “Florida and Michigan voted for me now you dont want their votes to count ? You senator Obama want to prevent people from having their votes county so that we are forced to go into the convention and have super delegates select us ?”

Should be fun.

Chucky Cheezy Schumer and the rest of the Democorruptic.

Make the rules up as you go and if thing don’t go your way, then use the courts, and if that don’t work, remain hateful and if that don’t work….

Can you imagine the fighting that’s going on within the Dem leadership on this one? LOL!

realVerse on February 17, 2008 at 11:59 PM

Everyone will be Howard-Dean-screaming in those smoke-filled rooms at the convention.

jgapinoy on February 18, 2008 at 12:07 AM

Pass the popcorn please!!!!

To borrow a line from Animcal House, “Oh boy, this is gonna be great”.

“Obama, you’re going to need to step aside.”

“Hillary Dear, you’re past your prime, stand down”

Two people enter…. :-)

I honestly can’t imagine how this will turn out though. If Obama gets the votes and the Super Delegates go for Hillary, the GOP commercials will all be “Democrats don’t believe in Democracy for their primary, what are they going to do for the Country”.

What about states rights? I do not understand how the DNC can block a state from doing what it wants under the threat of not allowing their votes to be counted. I am curious as to what federal election law has to say about it. The voting rights act? Haven’t heard anyone talk about that. Fl and MI ought to take the DNC to court. The DNC is pushing the envelope and I think they crossed the line. Too bad our cowardly justice dept want jump into the fray. What an opportunity to poke the dem’s in the eye. A little payback. But don’t expect “w” with his “new tone” to show any fight. Another missed opportunity to put the dem’s in their place. DD

Gotta love it,Shumers comments!

“Each candidate of course takes a position that
benifits them at the moment”!

Well,How Liberal of them, lets se if I can paint the
position Hillary is in.

Barrack Obama is the Bismark,Hillary is the Hood
and the Hood has been straddled by the Bismark,
come March 4,since we know history the Bismark
found her range, that epic ending(God rest theirs souls),
will be Hillary!

The libs are all rotten and corrupt. I hope they go to war with each other.

echosyst on February 18, 2008 at 12:38 AM

There are several examples of Hillary vs Hillary. See for example the decision to attack Iraq. If she’s the nominee, and if McCain’s campaign is competent, they’ll use these in brutally effective commercial spots.

aunursa on February 18, 2008 at 12:44 AM

I am Schumer of Clinton.
Integrity is irrelevant.
Logic is futile.
We are the Clintons.
We will add your delegates to our own.
Your party will adapt to service us.

Which is ironic because it was a borg that got Obama elected into the Senate. Perhaps this is the final battle that all free peoples have awaited for so long.

“Here’s the bottom line…each candidate of course takes the position that benefits them at the moment.” – Chuck Schumer, February 2008

“Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.” – Rep. Nancy Pelosi Dec. 16, 1998

As far as I know the Democrats can do as they please. No political party is a democracy and you don’t have the right to vote in one party’s primary or to have your vote mean anything even if you do.

This is what being a democrat is all about. If you have to lie, cheat, or libel your foes in order to win, no problem, it’s what they do best.
They have already demonstrated that they will destroy our country if that’s what they have to do to win an election. Now they are willing to destroy each other for the same reasons.
I say, let them eat each other.

I Do Not Understand how anyone could be Jewish and a Democrat…….

awesum on February 18, 2008 at 7:00 AM

Example #1386 demonstating why the Clintons are evil.

Example #5607 of someone in the media tip-toeing around the fact that Hillary and Bill are compulsive liars who have no ethics and no values and whose only “political philosophy” is: win at any cost, no matter what.

Gartrip on February 18, 2008 at 7:00 AM

If they do count Florida, Hillary will win 105 delegates to Obama’s 70. If Silky gives his 30 delegates to Obama, Hillary will only gain by 5.
[Silky and the Liberal Jesus were caught hugging at Silky's NC home]
As for Michigan, Obama should be given the ‘Uncommitted’ votes. Kucinich and Dodd got 5% between them and could go to Obama in protest.
If that happens, Hillary will make a net gain of about 16 delegates, 21 with Florida.

There was a record turnout in Florida for the Democrat primaries. Why? They knew their votes wouldn’t count. On Super Tuesday (a week after the FL primaries) I heard reports of people showing up at polling stations demanding a vote, screaming about ‘disenfranchisement.’ I can guarantee they weren’t Republicans. Florida Democrats have got to be the nation’s dumbest people. I remember printing out a copy of the infamous ‘butterfly’ ballot during the Florida recount in 2000. I showed it to my Democrat friends and relatives here in PA and saying ‘What’s the problem?’

infidel65 on February 18, 2008 at 7:09 AM

All your delegate are belong to us!

drjohn on February 18, 2008 at 7:30 AM

If these delegates are allowed to count. The democrat party will be in disarray. NOt much difference than now.

I can hear Jackson and Sharpton yelling the race card if that happens….and if the superdelegates choose Shillary over Obama.

This is going to be fun!!

What about states rights? I do not understand how the DNC can block a state from doing what it wants…
Darvin Dowdy on February 18, 2008 at 12:24 AM

Because the states understood they were breaking the rules, and they went along and signed off on the punishment. Which was also supported by Hillary…aggressively. This is a selection process, not an election, the “voting rights act” has nothing to do with this procedure, as long as it was signed off by all parties…and it was.

right2bright on February 18, 2008 at 8:44 AM

Excellent dissection of the matter by Russert.

Schumer was, of course, being a bigger tool than anything found in aisle 15 of your local Home Depot.

Captain Scarlet on February 18, 2008 at 9:26 AM

When I heard Chucky say that, I just shook my head. No need for back room cheating-do it right out in the open, and if anyone calls you on it, just shrug it off by saying, “Politics. It’s politics, man. Everybody lies.”
Would the other candidates have campaigned in those states or requested that their name be placed on the ballot if delegates had been at stake? Of course. I’m guessing that Clinton Inc. started planning this the moment that the ink was drying on their pledge to bypass Florida and Michigan.
America, pay attention: Do you want this sleaze to be your leader, your President?

Doug on February 18, 2008 at 9:39 AM

Sounds like the Clinton Campaign entered into a written agreement (since Russert was reading from a statement). Judge Judy will have no problem deciding this case.

Utterly, completely hypocritical.

JimC on February 19, 2008 at 3:39 AM

DNC making rules only a lawyer like Chucky can define and that definition depends on who he’s addressing-true double speck.

The Demoncrate Party is performing a DNC on itself.
