A bit unbelievable but the start of a different idea.

I can just see them opening the door when the car comes off the ramp out the lake/ocean – and the cockpit is full of water!

More believable if it had an enclosed cockpit. If they want a convertable seal the top before they get into the water. Warm, dry, comfortable, I could see that being fun. Wet, cold, dirty from whatever was in that water with you (we don’t even want to talk about the Thames or the East river) – well, yugh!

Design needs work.

lorien, I just about peed myself on this one: I grew up in Chalmette. As a teen I was used to driving on roads submerged 2ft or more at least once annually, around May (the so-called “100-year storm” that seemed to come once a year, with eight inches of rain or more in 24 hours).

Now to make my amusement complete, I’m waiting for “chocolate city” Nagin to buy one.

If it had a closed top and trapped air it would need to have a couple tons of balast.

Thats pretty cool,but if you really want to blow my mind
I like to see a station wagon loaded with kids checking
out the underwater sealife,enclosed of course!

Lets see,and then there would be a whole new deminsion
with old Vans converted,if the van is parked by the coral
and bubbling to the surface,best a not bother knocking!

And if this underwater venture was taking a new fad in say
a destination where a so-called famous potty mouth actress
described it as the centre of America,so to speak.
Well it would be an interesting night on Coast Guard partrol,separating the underwater targets!
