Jew-eating rabbit also a Danish-eating rabbit, apparently

Via JWF, a surreal reminder that the scope of Hamas’s jihad is a bit more ambitious than resistance to the Israeli occupation of Gaza that, er, ended three years ago.

I like that Reuters keeps referring to the degenerate in the rabbit suit as “the rabbit.”

A man-sized talking rabbit appeared on television in Gaza on Friday to denounce Danish newspapers over cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad that offended Muslims.

The latest in a line of cartoon-inspired characters that take the message of the Hamas Islamist movement to Palestinian children, the actor in the Bugs Bunny-style outfit also railed against “Zionist filth” and Israel’s control of Jerusalem…

“I want the West to hear this. I want the Danes who offended the great Prophet to hear it,” the rabbit said, gesturing to viewers after the show’s co-presenter, a girl of about 12 named Sarra, condemned Danish newspapers for reprinting the cartoons after police accused several men of plotting to kill the artist.

“Where are you Muslims? Where are you Arabs?” said Sarra, wearing a headscarf and speaking with precocious eloquence.

“We are all a sacrifice for the Prophet. The soldiers of Tomorrow’s Pioneers will redeem the Prophet with all they have.”…

“Who has sabotaged the world if not the Zionist plans?” [a caller] sang down the line to the studio in Gaza. Dancing and singing along, Assud the rabbit chimed in: “They have bombarded us.”

Old-school HA readers know that when she says they’re all sacrifices for Mohammed, she ain’t fooling. Exit question instruction: Find the quote of the day buried in this story.

I’m going with:

“Freedom of speech is like a plague!”.

Contradiction. Obviously, the jihadis just don’t get that one. Wait a minute….they do! They’ve been using it against Western nations to march forward with the creeping shari’a.

Quote of the day has to be this ^

Exactly what was supposed to have “learnt”?

Quote of the day option 1:

The cartoon depicts the Prophet with a bomb in his turban.

Note the casual assumption of Muslim designations of Muhammad. I’m surprised the BBC didn’t add ‘pbuh’ afterward.

Quote of the day option 2:

Danish Muslims

There are no Danish Muslims. There are Muslims who live in Denmark. They may or may not have Danish citizenship but this does not make them Danish. Kierkegaard spins in his grave.

When I was growing up my shows were the Mickey Mouse Club and Roy Rogers. These shows at least had values. These animals have been indoctrinating their youth will crap like this for generations. Our youth is not prepared for the threat they will face.

Les in NC on February 15, 2008 at 4:59 PM

Sorry should have been “with crap like this”.

Runner-up quote of the day

Some Danish Muslims said they felt the problem was not the Danish people who were, if not well informed about Islam, at least generally liberal.

Instead, they pointed the finger of blame at the Danish media, saying it had stirred controversy instead of trying to help mend community relations

Brat on February 15, 2008 at 5:06 PM

Where the hell is Elmer Fudd when you really need him?

Our youth is not prepared for the threat they will face.

Don’t despair. I’m retiring as Scoutmaster after 5 years. 13 Eagle Scouts in that time. One is a Marine with Special forces in Iraq right now. Another is at the Air Force Academy training to be a fighter pilot. Another is on a ship in the Persian gulf in the Navy. Another will enter West Point in the fall. Not all of our youth are video game slackers.

Sefton on February 15, 2008 at 5:18 PM

Another is at the Air Force Academy training with aspirations to be a fighter pilot.

Sefton on February 15, 2008 at 5:18 PM

Nearly everybody thinks this going in. Very few actually make it, and there’s no shame in flying something else, or even in not flying at all. After all, they’re still graduates. But it’s totally incorrect to say that Cadets train to fly fighters while they’re at USAFA. They train to be USAF Officers.

This quote caught my attention too:

Many carried the black and white flags of Hizb ut-Tahrir - the radical Islamic party that calls for the creation of a caliphate.

Do they have a U.S. chapter?

Funny, I guess Muslim wabbits are the ONLY carnivorous wabbbits in the world.

Hmmmm….Jews are kosher, so they’re probably halal as well.
(Kosher food is considered Halal by Muslims, but Halal food is not considered fully Kosher by Jews, BTW.)

But what about Danes? I’d guess they’re NOT halal. They’re ham-eaters. Remember all those big-*ss cans of Danish Ham that were popular a few decades ago?

Maybe there’s some wacked out Muslim rule about eating haram (not halal) food for the cause of Jihad, similar to taqiyya (lying) being OK in the cause of jihad.

A Jew and Dane eatin’ rabbit. What are these people gonna think of next? A Jew eatin’ BARNEY the dinosaur????

Exit question: I have to go with this…

But the overwhelming mood was not so much anger but weary resignation; a sense that they have been through this crisis once before and nothing has been learnt.

It would be hard to find a better example of Islamosupremacy, and as such the true scope of the problems we will face if we do not confront this evil!

Well, I knew Farfur, and Assoud the bunny, you are no Farfur…

The Pioneers of Tomorrow need to have Assoud fall in love with a Jewish bunny, but then have the “Zionists” prevent the marriage from taking place, because they are heartless and cruel. It would have made for a great Valentine’s Day episode…
