Video: Hillary4U&Me

The other day I posted something that I described as the worst political ad ever. It was that ratty ad making Hillary out to be a guitar hero who forsook the rock ‘n’ roll life to run for president. It was awful, but as it turns out I was wrong about it being the worst ad ever and I’m man enough to own that. The thing is, I was really wrong. Almost catastrophically wrong.

This is not an official Hillary Clinton ad. But like the Che flag in Obama’s local HQ, this video does reflect the thinking of Hillary supporters. It’s an attempt by people who actually support her to convince others to do likewise. Going by this video, the supporters A) can’t sing, B) can’t write lyrics and C) don’t have any real reason to support her. They’re just…singing. And dancing.

I’ll warn you now, once you watch this you won’t get the time back. It’s lost forever.

speaking of epic fail, you hear about those scientology protests?

ernesto on February 13, 2008 at 7:39 PM

Got through 17 seconds before I puked.

heatherrc77 on February 13, 2008 at 7:39 PM

Don’t click it!

Worse than a Rick Roll!

I closed my eyes and saw John Belushi’s character, John ‘Bluto’ Blutarsky (Animal House) yanking the instruments away and smashing them against the wall…

Zorro on February 13, 2008 at 7:42 PM

My wife must have moved our revolver from the nightstand. The song ended before I was able to take my life.

Chuck Schick on February 13, 2008 at 7:44 PM

Admittedly I start sings “someone in the kitchen with Bill Clinton, Someones in the Kitchen I knooowww, Someone in the kitchen with Bill Clinton strumming on the old banjo…….”

William Amos on February 13, 2008 at 7:45 PM

Makes Wayne Newton look like a superstar!

Travis1 on February 13, 2008 at 7:47 PM

Bryan, you are fully responsible for taking away and killing my two and half minutes.
Question…What does “bring back our democracy” mean? Sixty two million people voted for GWB in 2004. Sounds pretty damn democratic to me. I think they just chose it because it rhymed with “Hillary4U&Me”. I love how HRC supporters always bring up the war. Most of them don’t even know THAT SHE VOTED FOR THE WAR AND THE FUNDING FOR IT! They still aren’t as dumb as the Obama supporters sheeple.

Chuck Schick on February 13, 2008 at 7:44 PM

I was reaching for a steak knife at about 1:40.

malan89 on February 13, 2008 at 7:48 PM

Can we sue these people on behalf of that poor little girl they made sing on stage? Talk about exploitation.

malan89 on February 13, 2008 at 7:50 PM

Nice little outfits, what is with this Mao chic that the Beast embodies?
Plus these people don;t seem to know that the Best basically hates all of them.

bbz123 on February 13, 2008 at 7:53 PM

Now I think I know where Doriangrey has been hiding lately – geez dude!

Bradky on February 13, 2008 at 7:53 PM

It sounds like every bad children’s sing along you have ever heard on PBS.

Mark1971 on February 13, 2008 at 7:55 PM

I still think “Mac the Knife” is a better song for a Hillary commercial

Oh the shark bait, with the teeth red….

William Amos on February 13, 2008 at 7:57 PM

I made it to 0:24, paused, punctured both eardrums with a screwdriver, and then made it to 0:56. (I just had to know what happened to that same #%*ing polar bear whose photo accompanies every single global warming story.)

And thanks malan89 for expressing so well what I was thinking: our democracy never went anywhere… just look at all the people freely voting for Obama over Hillary (that’ll be a nice irony when the superdelegates cough “select” her).

saint kansas on February 13, 2008 at 7:57 PM

“timothy” should be her song. The one about the cannibals in the cave.

bbz123 on February 13, 2008 at 7:58 PM

Yup, this one

It usually takes Republicans to make something with this little soul.

Chuck Schick on February 13, 2008 at 8:03 PM

I only lasted 6 seconds…

MsUnderestimated on February 13, 2008 at 8:04 PM

I found a video of Flipper performing Sex Bomb, which I believe is the one they meant to post.

saint kansas on February 13, 2008 at 8:07 PM

These people have been fooled by Hillary’s fake sincerity…they actually believe she is in the race for something other than herself. Idiots.

jediwebdude on February 13, 2008 at 8:12 PM

i listened to all of it. just pretend that it’s a parody, and it’s actually quite entertaining.[easy joke]so it’s just like the rest of her campaign.[/easy joke]

locke on February 13, 2008 at 8:15 PM

Up with People would like their sound back, plz.

Asher on February 13, 2008 at 8:21 PM

That’s dancing like only white people know how to do!

sheesh on February 13, 2008 at 8:30 PM

“Whatever happened to that group Up With People?”

“You mean the ones who did those lame half-time shows?”

“Yeah, yeah! I heard they were some kind of cult or something…”

” I dunno, I heard they started performing at local community centers or something.”

Deety on February 13, 2008 at 8:31 PM

Asher on February 13, 2008 at 8:21 PM

Dang!

What did I have to go googling them for?

Beat me to it.

Same reax tho.

Deety on February 13, 2008 at 8:34 PM

If there was ever a song that summed up Hillary, this is it BABY!

AUINSC on February 13, 2008 at 8:42 PM

I lasted less than a minute. The chorus reminds me of ABC by the Jackson 5. Hey Hill, how’d you like to be sued by Michael Jackson (or one of his brothers)?

Bigfoot on February 13, 2008 at 9:02 PM

This video vs. Obama’s Yes We Can video sums up the two campaigns.

p0s3r on February 13, 2008 at 9:04 PM

speaking of epic fail, you hear about those scientology protests?

ernesto on February 13, 2008 at 7:39 PM

Yeah, I second that. Did you hear about the Feb 10th protests all over the world of the “Church” of Scientology? I was there, and I took lots of pictures.

mram on February 13, 2008 at 9:05 PM

Now I have to go wash my eyes out with some Obama Girl.

trailortrash on February 13, 2008 at 9:25 PM

I don’t know if it is my dislike for McCain or what, but I kind of liked it. The rock star ad was horrible. I also like this one better than the Barrack around clock youtube song. Now that was just painful.

It’s hard to believe that for a brief period in the sixties (back before the long-term brain damage from all the drugs kicked in) liberals actually used to be able to carry a tune.

logis on February 13, 2008 at 9:56 PM

That wasn’t even lame in an amusing way, it was just bad.

Baraka on February 13, 2008 at 9:57 PM

everything about that is bad. ‘instead of war we can negotiate’. I’m sure that’d have worked really well in WWII. That’s a great line, too bad it doesn’t have anything to do with reality. . .

Hey, that’s a line they should have written. . .

Hil- a – ry, nothing to do with reality.

ThackerAgency on February 13, 2008 at 10:04 PM

I was looking for KP in that video though

When you go to the YouTube link, you find that the people who posted it have disabled the comments…. there’s a reason: they know people will BLAST this POS out of the water

ToddonCapeCod on February 13, 2008 at 10:59 PM

Call me sick and twisted, but I was thinking it would be hilarious to play this in a public place and walk away. Or imagine Ventrilo Harassment using this song! The possibilities are endless!

OneGyT on February 13, 2008 at 11:10 PM

Wow, they’re really gellin’!

PattyJ on February 14, 2008 at 1:20 AM

I thought it would be a great ad… if 6 year olds could vote. Needed Bert and Ernie to join in.

Somewhere, somehow, some group of people thought this was a good idea with the end result worth sharing. I do not want to know these people.

Hollowpoint on February 14, 2008 at 1:22 AM

I think the producers of Barney or The Wiggles might have a non-intellectual property lawsuit here.

2Tru2Tru on February 14, 2008 at 1:58 AM

I can’t get it outta my head!

MAKE IT STOP!!!!

MAKE IT STOP!!!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Shy Guy on February 14, 2008 at 3:58 AM

Heh,

Got to love the credits at the end. Are they really proud of that video?

F15Mech on February 14, 2008 at 5:17 AM

I just felt part of my life force slip away from me into that swirling vortex of void known as “Hillary Fans, Ranglers, and Enablers©”.

I will leave this Earth a lesser person for having watched that video. I am reduced and tainted, and I am weakened.

It’s too early in the morning for a glass of scotch; I’ll just have to limp through the rest of the day.

shamalama on February 14, 2008 at 7:33 AM

Good thing they disabled comments at youtube, cuz that was truly the dullest, most awful thing I’ve seen since her last ad.

Chest_Rockwell on February 14, 2008 at 8:39 AM

These people object to waterboarding terrorist, but think nothing of unlesahing those two monstrosities on innocent citizens?
Please, pass the towel and a large jug of water…I’ll waterboard myself.

RMR on February 14, 2008 at 9:06 AM

Good thing they disabled comments at youtube

Disabled comments?

But… I thought we were going to start the conversation!

saint kansas on February 14, 2008 at 9:50 AM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo

I can’t stand that…ugh ugh…this has to be put out by Obama, this is just too damning!!

spacekicker on February 14, 2008 at 12:18 PM

OneGyT on February 13, 2008 at 11:10 PM

Maybe the Marines could play this for the Code Pinkos at Berkelestan.

PeterPotamus on February 14, 2008 at 12:20 PM

Seriously…I honestly don’t understand the mindset of people who produce things like this on either side of the aisle.

Really? You thought this was good enough to put on the internet. Really?

groovecake on February 14, 2008 at 12:21 PM

Guilt-ridden affluent white-bread Oregonians (or whatever) trying to funk it up Motown style: entertainingly bad.
