The United States of America will soon be nothing more than a chapter in a history book. This country is finished and that isn’t a knee-jerk statement. Obama will destroy the last remaining greatness that was the United States and too many people are simply too ingorant and stupid to realize it. 230+ years was a wonderful run but it’s over!

I’m becoming bored with Obama. He’s a conventional liberal who happens to be a better salesman than the rest of them, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be any better in office than any other liberal. They all chip away at the free market while they weaken our standing in the world. They’re all infected with the same PC multi-culti claptrap and most of them never met a tax hike or government program that they didn’t like (except the military, which most of them hate and can’t wait to slash). Not interested.

With all due respect, well duh….

Admittedly, given the current state of things, from the DC perspective, maintenance of the Interstate highway system consists mainly of shoveling vast sums of money to state (and local) governments for them to promptly squander at their leisure – and most likely, any move to bring the whole mess under any sort of rational control is likely to ignite a firestorm of controversy over federal oversight, mismanagement, and intrusion into the business of local and state level government – you know, the same old gripe that was a minor principle of that whole civil war thing.

However, given that the average American voter doesn’t really have enough of a clue about the actuality of how money is moved around in our current system, much less which branches and organizations are actually responsible for what, combined with the everyday confrontation with the reality that maintenance of our transportation infrastructure (and its shortfalls, of which there is a constantly accumulating list of annoyances) is ‘less than optimal’ – well…forget the portions that would make the Goracle all warm, fuzzy, and carbon neutral – there’s enough there to actually resonate with the semi-conscious masses. And sidestepping the larger ideological issues – by making soaring promises about something almost everyone agrees needs attention (without getting into any messy details) – that’s a formula for success by bamboozlement.

Watch for them to hammer away on this, and things like it, particularly if it does well in polling and with focus groups.

Would he actually be able to satisfy the expectation generated about such things, if elected? Oh hell no, it’d turn into yet another liberal feel good train wreck, with the mere attempt providing enough spin fodder to keep the useful idiots of the media atwitter and chattering with reverence for hours, and hours, and hours.

Then again, maybe I’m just being cynical.

That makes two of us. His speeches are nauseating; even his voice gets on my nerves. I would rather listen to Hillary speak.

My prediction at this point is that Obama has the edge on getting elected and he will be the complete disaster that JFK’s administration was once one strips away all the emotion and glossing over of the facts.

But I’d classify her more as a Kerryista. The Clinton’s ‘play for keeps’ style is just a little too rough for her. She likes squishy, empty suits, as long as they are liberal.

She has written a few articles that were somewhat critical of the Clintons…
