Exit question: What sort of soundtrack would be less likely for a John McCain campaign video than the one heard here? Hip hop? Thrash metal? Thrash would actually be pretty sweet for some of his war rhetoric.

There is a “Girls Gone Wild” quality to the video of McCain’s daughter sitting on a hotel bed and later, drinking a beer and giggling…especially with the handheld camera with a downward angle and the goofy music. (No, I’m not saying McCain’s daughter is doing Girls Gone Wild videos.) He’s gotta get people who are more on the ball to come up with some pro-McCain viral videos that connect better with voters.

Good video overall but personally it drags a bit in places to me… Current edit and running time is easily 2-3 minutes too long.
Meghan, discuss with Shannon the pros/cons of every subsequent video having a self-imposed 2 minute runtime. I believe you’ll see more in the “pros” column.

This is actually not the worst stock, bulk-licensed production music I’ve heard under a Republican video.
As for what the music should be, Chakra Hammer and I already decided last week that it should be Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison.

The soundtrack they used sounded like the same crappy soundtrack I had to listen to for the years I was in the video production field. This type of canned audio tripe will fit rightinto anything, from a cooking demonstration to a landscaping exhibit to a McPain Campaign promo to a porno flick.
