I was for Giuliani. Then Romney. Now, I’m thinking of voting for Huckabee solely to force McCain to fight for it at the convention. I guess I’ll decide when I get into the booth.

It really is sad. It just shows how desperate people are for leadership. Any Obama that comes along and can preach hope, change and a better America (even though he don’t explain how he will accomplish it) gets their vote. : (

McCain and Clinton are at best, grating. Obama is the epitome of smooooth in front of the camera.

I think Lehosh is trying to be contrarian.
The American Conservative Union, acuratings.org, says McCain’s lifetime rating is 82.3%. Yes, he has slid down to the upper 50s & low 60s for the last few years, but it’s much better than Obama’s 8.0% or Hillary’s 9.0% lifetime ratings, don’t you think?

A 0% rating from Planned Parenthood? The lowest rating in the Senate?

My respect for McCain just inched up a little.

I think McCain has a celebrity-like image to protect. And that is “The Guy Who Isn’t Afraid to Go Against the Flow”. At least that’s the media’s view of him. My view of him, however, is more of a “black sheep” analogy. I think he just likes sticking out from the Republican field because it keeps his name in the papers. It’s not a new observation, plenty of people have made it. He just figured out that by bashing fellow Republicans, he got lots of praise in the MSM. I’m sure he just grew to like getting praise from somewhere, and keep doing what produced those results.

As for McCain, I was hoping we’d have a chance to get him out of that Senate seat in Arizona, this just wasn’t what I had in mind.

To which I reply that faith is the evidence of things not seen (God).

What’s funny is the trend of McCain’s voting record. If you look at this chart from National Journal, it’s interesting to note when McCain’s “conservativism” peaked and began going downhill. His highest rating was in 1994 and began sinking from there.

The fact that he started turning left just as the Republican Revolution took over is so strange. Is he just trying to be contrarian or what?
