I agree completely! If George Soros gets “his guy” nominated on both the Republican ticket and the Democrat ticket, He Wins (and We The People Lose) either way!

Lots of commemorative bills, a few condemnation bills, and lots of social spending. Almost all of them are stuck in committee. Accomplishments? Not that I can see.

He’s either a follower with charisma, or a leader with no gumption.

The question then, who’s he following?

I can name one accomplishment of Obama. He’s successfully begun, mobilized, lead and propelled to the forefront a campaign that should have been relegated to “also ran” early on, especially considering that he’s not even served a full term in the Senate or held any position of major importance in his life.

Perhaps, but the nature of his accomplishment in gaining (or earning, if we must) a following is not all that distinguishable from Coldplay, or Tyra Banks, or Dr. Phil.

At any rate, the point is not that he lacks accomplishments, it is that there are soooooo many people willing to vote for him when they cannot name a single one.

He’s accomplishing right now, folks. Don’t ignore that. If he really believes what he’s saying, if he’s looking to become a movement leader as well as a gifted politician, then regardless of the outcome in this campaign, he is and will be a formidable opponent for a long time.

That said, I hope he does believe what he’s saying. I look forward to fighting him tooth and nail in the arena of ideas. Who knows, maybe one day we can convince him that our ideas are the future, that his hope is well placed only in a country that is free and where all men and women are unencumbered by oppression from the State.

Well, he compared himself to Google on 60 Minutes last Sunday, in that, what he lacks in executive experience, he more than makes up for in “performance”…

Kroft was too busy making googly-eyes at him to call him on it though. And the rest of the MSM hasn’t either. Surprise.

So I guess that’s an “accomplishment”.

I got to thinking more about this. Obama and I were both in the community organizing racket about 20 years ago. By all accounts he is rather proud of his time spent in that line of work. In fact, he has stated that he intends to use that experience to inform his policies as president. Therefore, it could be said that the leading Democratic contender has the political philosophy of a 20-something year old bleeding heart do-gooder. In other words, his politics have remained frozen in time, stagnated, left to gather dust and mildew.

I, on the other hand, view my work on the frontlines of Caring with detached bemusement. Over the past two decades, through intense reading and study, my political views have evolved, matured, and (dare I say it?) changed. I’m tellin’ ya…If I can just get the hope thing down, I can beat that Obama fellow. Anybody got Huck’s number? I need the going price on delegates.

Like you said, true democracy seems to include idiots voting. I am not sure it is a flaw though, because the alternative to that is revoking the voting rights of some people, something that can really be abused.

Further, this gaggle of undecided voters is the reason I say “Good thing the United States of America is not a democracy.” Disagree? Ever really study our Pledge of Allegiance? Have you read the Federalist Papers (No. 10, i.e.)?

Why yes. He was indeed the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. Quite an accomplishment for someone who cares nothing for racial labels!

Of far more significant interest to the American people will be whether Hussein Obama will heeding the calls of his tribe to send armaments and troops to Kenya to help his family win the conflict. It will soon be clear why he wants to exit Iraq as soon as possible.

I am not sure what to say. At the end of the day, I am not going to vote for an idiot even if he or she has the best plan. But I don’t think Hillary, Obama, Huckabee or McCain are idiots. So now that this is out of the way…

I like Obama’s plan. What is so hard to comprehend? My logic, simplified, is very clear:

quality of candidate + quality of plan = my ranking

I don’t understand which part of that is causing you grief.

This is the reason why a true democracy is a fallacy. Ill informed and illogical reasoning is thrown out for the sake of anyone being allowed to vote. The flaw in a true democracy: idiots abound.
