Call it a banana if you want. We know what it is: amnesty for criminals, while Americans subsidize their own displacement.

When you argue semantics over substance, you have no idea what you're talking about and have conceded the debate, just like the "racist!" screaming Quisling Juan McShame supporters on this site.

I hope she cries herself in and out of sleep tonight and for the rest of her life. Mccain's plan isn't amnesty, she is just as much a propogandist when she brings her children into the discussion.

Why not? you don’t think installing roll roofing for under $10/hr is equivalent to genocide?

What are you, a liberal?

Hiney Von Pewps on February 8, 2008 at 4:49 PM

No I do not. In real dollars I saw Americans doing such work in Ohio in the 80's for as much. Believe me I understand the effect of illegal immigration towards depressing wages (I live in San Diego) and yes we are under an onslaught an invasion if you will..but McCain has not succeeded in granting amnesty yet. therefore he has not committed treason. IF you think he absolutely will grant amnesty don't vote for him, I probably will not either choosing rather to vote constitution pArty or write in someone else. But a person MUST have comitted an act worthy of treason. We are not technically at War with the people that are here illegally. For comparison maybe look at John Murths remarks about our troops in the field. And even that might be better termed Seditious in nature. And I am the farthest thing from a liberal..you see I like facts and Love people who naivety in their word usage, is fueled by their emotions. I am a libersl worst nightmare.

It's just crazy to me that McCain was the keynote speaker at the 2004 La Raza convention. La Raza sorta means "the race" in Spanish although the NCLR is careful to call that a mistranslation on their website.

The term “La Raza” has its origins in early 20th century Latin American literature and translates into English most closely as “the people,” or, according to some scholars, “the Hispanic people of the New World.”

I'm not sure exactly if that qualifies a "racist" but it is interesting to name your organization "The Race" or some iteration of that and I wonder how it differs from other racist organizations. And by racist organizations I mean organizations that are based chiefly on an identification with a certain ethnicity.

We are talking about a demographic shift unlike any other seen in recorded history, an invasion and colonization of your country in epic proportions, but it's nice to see a red herring which points to the greed and slavery-lite you love so much. For you to deny this factual demographic displacement of Americans reveals the level of stupidity you bring to the table.

I suppose in 1938 you would be calling Czechs "racist" while Hitler invades the Sudetenland, and we all know what kind of filth people like you are without you having to open your piehole.

I never thought HotAir would be a forum for black market slavemasters who hate Americans, including the blacks who are displaced, but there you have it, comrades.

Amen, Prof, Hiney. This is a tactic of the LLL that is common on dKOS. I was always proud that it didn't show up on the mainstream RW blogs. I assumed we were more mature. Guess it just took the right circumstances to show that childish haters exist on both sides. Sad.

Crying is way over the top but did they say anything untrue? I think not.

You don’t know what you are talking about. Just FYI, here is Romney’s record on immigration during his term as Governor:

• Governor Romney Signed A Memorandum Of Agreement With The Federal Government To Allow State Troopers To Enforce Federal Immigration Laws

• Governor Romney Vetoed In-State Tuition For Illegal Immigrants

• Governor Romney Enforced Massachusetts’ English Immersion Law Against Opposition

•Governor Romney Vetoed A Bill to Give Driver’s Licenses To Illegal Immigrants

Sounds pretty consistent to me.

joncoltonis on February 8, 2008 at 3:10 PM

THanks for that post.
Also FYI the elimination of Spanish education was supported by Romney and had to be done by REFERENDUM since the legislature would never agree to such a thing. Before that you could get a MA high school diploma without being able to speak a word of English.

I could not be any more fed up then I am with supposed concervatives who never even bothered to learn about Romney's actual record. Lets just vote identity politcs in which worldview Romney doesnt have a stong constituancy and so we label Romney as an empty suit. Examine the candidates records? Who has time for that it is only a presidential election.

McCain is much, much better than either Hillary or Obama.

funky chicken

Except on the Constitution, free speech, and immigration.

And he's a wash on prosecuting terrorists, Gitmo, and defining "torture".

But hey, if none of the above are important, and taxes trump everything; he's likely to be better on the economy...

Unless his class warfare speeches from his opposing the tax cuts come back. Or he gets a 50 cent tax on gasoline and cripples transportation of goods across the nation. that might be worse, not better. So, maybe a wash here.

And on the "wash" issues, he'll get more Republican Congressional support just for party loyalty, so he's more likely to get that through... maybe worse, not a wash.

So, um, he has Iraq. Definitely on the plus side. I'll give him that one hands down.

Does it outweigh his minuses? Depends on if you trust his anti-speech anti-Constitution rhetoric from 2003 and 2005. He's about due to attack the Constitution again, and with the Presidency he'd have the power to knock another chunk away.

But if you don't believe him, or think he wasn't serious; then you can ignore his fatal flaw and think he's "better".

Pardon me as I disagree.

Not sure I would Call McCain A traitor despite his pro-illegal immigration/amnesty stance and disdain for conservatives in general..but the moniker is associatively appropriate and the political correct crowd needs to look into history and see some of the names used by people like Lincoln Teddy Roosevelt, etc on their polital opponenets. After watching the CLINTON PC machine in accord with leftist academia destroy our military prowess in the 1990's (And I did MORE than watch ...I experienced it on the INSIDE man!!!) PC/Multiculturalism has all but destroyed us now keeps us from saying it like it is! PC pushers are the most intolerant people ever known...The Act Up people were promoting Blood warfare...thats right don't even give me a chance to avoid AIDS, use stealth and trickery to KILL. I may dislike a persons point of view to the point of disdain or disgust but unless you are trying to hurt me or mine...I will not intentionally try to kill anyone...oh and its a slow death they were advocating as blackmail for federal funding!

Prof. and Hiney are full of it. When McCain enlists a former mexican government official who does not make it a secret that "la raza cosmica" is going to invade, colonize and replace the anglo population in the USA (essentially genocide), you quacks start whining about "racist" labels when McCain affiliates with racists like Hernandez. McCain is part of the treason lobby, and whatever name people want to call him suits me just fine.

When McCain enlists racists in his campiagn, he is fair game for any sort of affiliation which speaks of the truth of his own racist affiliations. Let's not forget his term for his captors: "gooks."

You can deny it all you want, but that type of politically correct censorhip just reveals you to be pathetic party hacks standing against the majority of the American people. No wonder what Red State has to say makes no bit of difference in this campiagn, as they have marginalized themselves into irrelevance by calling members of their own party "racists." Similarly, the two commenters above are merely engaging in Stalinistic PC word games, which makes them both tools of the left.

Sorry, but Juan McCain is an appropriate moniker for this senile treasonous dolt.

Quite right, Proff. In fact you get banned for it at RedState:

Allow me to clue anyone who thinks these names are funny or clever in to something: racism isn't clever or funny. If you think you've really zinged someone by calling them by a Latino name, that's a pretty reliable (nearly infallible, in fact) indicator that you don't like Latino people.

A simple request on McCain for conservative bloggers: lose the "Juan McCain" crap.

Whine and pout all you want. Rail and wail and gnash your teeth all day long. Call him every name in the book as you take your ball and go home.

But no "Juan," mmm-kay? It ranks right up there with "Jorge Arbusto" for the lamest most-overused joke ever.

If you have to insult - at least be original. Please. Independent, original thought is not that difficult.

On a slightly different topic:

Is Neil Cavuto really this AWFUL an interviewer?

Goodness gracious, can he ask a question without simply repeating what the guest just said?

The Mothers Against the Draft nut, Debbie Hopper is clearly against the war, so she's a Paulnut, appearing at rallies for Ron Paul alll over the country.

Delacroix is obcessed with the border, so she "supported" Romney.

How stable are these people? And how many of these people who tear up, and are tearing up, their imaginary allegiances to the Republican party does the Republican party have to worry about "losing" by backing McCain?

I second that. Hunter was tough on immigration, his son is on his second or third tour in Iraq, he himself served, he successfully made a difference in the House, AND he’s a Baptist. We passed up a great candidate in Hunter. His name is also cool in this time of terrorist hunting.

NTWR on February 8, 2008 at 1:56 PM

(His son Duncan had 3 tours, and is now home running for Congress.)

I was a declared Hunter delegate, and I never knew what his religion was. I didn't ask. I didn't care. I wasn't voting for a minister.

I supported Hunter because he was the toughest on illegal immigration at the time, or so I thought. I was never so disappointed as when he endorsed Huckabee, who pushed hard for in-state tuituion for illegal aliens, sat on his slimmed-down rear end for 20 months to delay writing (and never did write!) a simple LOA with ICE to start the training for his law enforcement officers, then LIED during the campaign saying he "ordered" his officers to take 287(g) training.

If Hunter endorsed Huckabee because they are both Baptists, while selling out on his strong stance against illegal immigration, a pox on both of them.

I want my time and money back.

What a bunch of baloney. You know, this woman should have cried when Duncan Hunter had to drop out of the race. Romney was not an immigration hawk when he had actual power to be so. His history didn’t match his current rhetoric.

You don't know what you are talking about. Just FYI, here is Romney's record on immigration during his term as Governor:

• Governor Romney Signed A Memorandum Of Agreement With The Federal Government To Allow State Troopers To Enforce Federal Immigration Laws

• Governor Romney Vetoed In-State Tuition For Illegal Immigrants

• Governor Romney Enforced Massachusetts' English Immersion Law Against Opposition

•Governor Romney Vetoed A Bill to Give Driver's Licenses To Illegal Immigrants

Sounds pretty consistent to me.

Thanks Allah for being appropriately skeptical of this fraud. Michelle Delacroix was a member of the "Constitution Party" when she did her last performance there, pretending to tear up her GOP membership card.

Another notable project of prominent Constitution Party officials is "Mothers Against the Draft", which is what it sounds like, a fraudulent scare site dedicated to spreading the myth that the military draft is upon us.

I gave to Fred! two days before he dropped out and matched it to Mitt about a week before he dropped out. It's been a one-two punch in the gut. Even though I don't like McCain I'll come around at election time. Hurumph. At least I've got some company in the misery!

Just pointing out that he has the Party Approved ™ religion so he would have been in direct competition with Huck.

NTWR on February 8, 2008 at 2:23 PM

Okay, if that's what you meant, but Hunter does not have a bit of Huck's folksy charm so I don't see that it would have helped all that much.

I'm sort of getting tired of hearing about how Hunter, or Fred should have been the candidates, as if the voters had no say in the matter.

Fred in particularly has left me quite unsympathetic because of how he ran his campaign. In my view, he did more harm than good and ended up helping McCain more than anything else. My opinion would be completely different if I had seen any evidence that he actually tried to win with all his heart.
