Hillary wages war on … MSNBC
posted at 4:22 pm on February 8, 2008 by Allahpundit
Here’s the transcript of the fateful “pimped out” remark and here’s Wolfson’s declaration of war on Hillary’s behalf. What’s the most painfully awesome part? That it gives our last, best hope for a Republican victory a handy dandy pretext for playing the victim ahead of Tuesday’s showdown with Obama? That she’s threatening to punish MSNBC by pulling out of a debate just three days after committing to one on — gasp! — Fox? That it’s Olbermann’s crony, the boy wonder to his nutroots Batman, who’s the target of all the wrath — at a moment when Olby himself is in hot water with the left? That after having already apologized on air once today, he’s being forced to grovel again tonight? That in the span of just a few weeks, he and Matthews have jeopardized the progressive cred MSNBC’s been trying to build for more than a year? Or is it the fact that it gives Clinton supporters ample justification to drive home to the left how this network operates? Note Taylor Marsh’s pointed reference to Olby’s guest list. Welcome to the club, chumps.
Update: Make that 32 flavors of awesome. Shuster’s been suspended.
MSNBC said Shuster, who apologized on the air for his comment, has been temporarily suspended from appearing on all NBC news broadcasts except to offer his apology.
“NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks,” MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines said, adding the network was hopeful the debate would take place as planned.
Belated exit question: When does the bottom-feeding MSNBC brass start to “take seriously” their fair-haired boy’s penchant for Nazi analogies and minimization of Al Qaeda and the Klan?
Update: Had the wrong link for Taylor Marsh. It’s fixed now.

Ewwww that douchebag is the David Shuster? Ewwww.
Ya know, Obama’s wife has gone out campaigning for him. Oprah went out campainging for him. Were they “pimped out?” Or can only a white woman be accused of pimping out her family and friends?

Don’t worry. In a few months, Hillary will say that she never really supported the war on MSNBC and advocate pulling out. She’s being tricked by her advisors into declaring war, you see.

oooohh, I love it! I’ve disliked Shuster ever since he tried that gotcha politics on that republican congresswoman last year because she didn’t know the names of the soldiers who died in her district. He tried to make her look bad and told her the names and it turned out that the soldiers didn’t live in her district.
This guy is a d-bag in the highest sense.

Hey, there. I’m trying to figure out how some of you post your links the way you do using a word or sentence in place of the link. Occasionally I will have a long link I wanna put up, but man it’s too long it won’t fit on the screen. Do you use the blue link button? What do you guys do to post your links in the way of “words?” Hope that made some sense. Thanks.

Curious that Media Matters, which was all over Don Imus, had nothing to say about Olbermann’s snide remark about Mexicans eating guacamole. Obermann must have thought he was oh so funny. Mexicans, according to Olbermann, can’t enjoy Italian food or Thai food or any other cuisine. Mexicans just sit around eating “guacamole”. Jimmy Carter also got away with making a snide remark about Mexicans when he gave a speech in Mexico and talked about going to Mexico years before and getting “Montezuma’s revenge”. Carter seemed surprised that Mexicans didn’t laugh along with him when he poked fun at Mexicans’ supposed lack of hygiene. I love it when these selfrighteous people of the Left get caught showing themselves to be insensitive and bigoted. Schuster is one these “gotcha” guys. He chases after Republicans and then suckers some of them into giving him interviews. Then he gives them the pop quiz and then he can ridicule them for days on end. I nominate Schuster for “worst person in the world”.
Larraby on February 8, 2008 at 4:58 PM
Shuster gets to say pretty much what he wants about conservatives and get slaps on the wrist (“let’s go to the revival and then go torture prisoners at Guantanamo,” etc., etc.), but cross the Her High Holiness and he gets suspended. Well, at least maybe we can look forward to seeing him on “Gawker” after a drunken bender where he fell face forward into his own hurl. That would be nice.

Shuster is a master when it comes to making an ass of himself. Its quite fun to watch.

right2bright on February 8, 2008 at 5:51 PM
But why is Shuster being punished for saying that about Chelsea when other MSNBC host have said similar or worst things about Republican/Conservative women?….KO,Chrissy Mathews and others have attacked Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin with many tasteless remarks..as a someone said at Olbermann Watch…
“Chelsea got a taste of what non-Democrat females have gotten at the hands of MSNBC hosts. It certainly wasn’t out of bounds for MSNBC hosts to compare disgraced Sen Vitter’s wife’s tv appearance to a hooker.”
No one can make the excuse that Chelsea is off limits…she’s not a kid any more She’s an active member of her Mothers election team and fair game..now not to be called a Hooker of course..but you can’t have a double standard that you can make crude remarks aboutRepublican/Conservative Women but not Liberal/Dem Women.
MSNBC has had the chickens coming home to roost on this and I really hope O’Reilly and others start pointing out the double standards of the network and it’s on-air talent…when it comes to who they’ll punish(Imus,Shuster) and who they won’t(KO.Chrissy)when they make racist and sexist comments.
But on a side note you just got love the irony after all the fuss over the phony FOX boycott because their a biased “Right wing” network (even though most of the Dems candidates still appeared on their shows)that the biased Left wing network MSNBC will be the one that is really
boycotted by the Dems top candidate. LOL!!!!
