Between BKennedy and csd I had a really hard time finally supporting Romney. Nasty supporters can really kill a campaign. Probably lost the nomination for him too. That said, I admire Mr. Romney for his class today, and can’t say that I feel too sorry for the Mittens, or whatever they’re called, because they were so mean to all others here who supported someone else.

Now, all of us, get our act together, be rational, not emotional, and think of this country before all else. Only the idiotic left is emotional to the point of nothingness.

Nicely said. He has shown tremendous organizational skill and fundraising. Those are talents that will endear him to his colleagues in the next few years.

I still, myself, am surprised at how much he has impressed me. When this season started I remarked that he would have been a nice candidate for 1992, but that we needed someone with strong convictions now. Having watched him these months, I’ve really come to appreciate his mastery of detail, etc, but really his character and class. And I do believe he has become a conservative with conviction.

It would not be impossible for the conservatives who supported Duncan, Fred, Mitt et.al. to organize into an energetic delegation to influence the GOP direction. As conservative ideals do matter, it would be foolish not to unite efforts, and pathetic to submit entirely to liberalism. Effectivity would rely on simplicity, minimal agenda for potency of effort to survive. To attempt accomplishing everything would be futile. But to decide upon one success at a time would be effective, prioritize by vote. We already have professional spokesmen on radio talk shows.

Well, it certainly seems there will have to be some sort of an organization for conservatives, or they will have no voice at all.

Has anyone noticed the potential for a third-party run for the White House is going way, way up of late? That usually just hands a victory to the Democrats, but there may be enough disaffected conservatives this time to pull it off.

Quite frankly HA was a nicer place to be before primary season, and the Fredheads started the descent. They’ve since been upstaged by the Huckatrolls, the Rudy Brigade, and the McMainiacs.

Fredheads certainly aren’t to blame – they were having to fend off crap from the Romney camp all through the summer and fall. It is clear now that these people shouldn’t have endorsed Romney at all, given his very obvious weakenesses and long record of being a screaming liberal in MA. If they were serious about their much vaunted ‘principles’ they would have got behind Alan Keyes from the outset, and helped build him a strong core of support.

The Democrawlers want to retreat, always. The Republicans have known that as adults, we have to face evil and defeat it; not appease it.
