Unfortunate “error” of the day

posted at 6:20 pm on February 7, 2008 by Allahpundit

Honest confusion over his party ID by some slackjawed copy editor? Doubtful given the nature of today’s event and the thousands of news stories devoted to the race this past month. Which means we’re looking at one of two things: A misstrike on the qwerty keyboard or disgruntled Mittheads in the Fox News newsroom.

Your call.

Actually, it’s been done before. They’ve even put up the wrong name for politicians. During the ’06 race, CNN listed Michael Steele as a Democrat.

Thank you. Likewise. I can’t say I don’t get angry with the vitriolic McCain-hate spewed on HA these days, but I really don’t want to argue with fellow conservatives too much. Saving that for the Dem’s.

It WAS nice to see some commenters on the CPAC thread come around after McCain’s speech, and Coburn’s intro. As I stated, McCain did just what he needed to today. McCain has a great chance against either Dem candidate, but it would make it a whole lot better if the GOP could at least unite behind our candidate. I for one am not willing to hand the WH over to the Dem’s, simply to let the country go down the toilet for partisan political gain.

Partisan political gain is the prize. The democrats have recognized this. John McCain recognizes this. It’s time that Republicans do as well. When it’s time to turn our collective fight against the Democrats, we’ll see what a leader John McCain turns out to be. If he takes the fight to them, maybe I’ll find a way to get behind him. If he runs “the most civil campaign in history”, I’ll know him to be the charlatan that I believe him to be today.
