I agree and I also am compelled to say something about the moderates, by a McCain victory may have won the battle but not the war. The war I am referring to is the fate of the Republican Party.

Unlike you and the ignorant path of denial you are still entrenched in, I, as most real conservatives have been prepared for this since Mitt began running. We have, and still have every hope that Mitt is and will continue to be more able to unit the party tham McOpenBorders.

Now, we all have to decide which way we will go. When McLiar gets up there today and starts kissing the bases’ ass, I will decide if he is sincere or if he’s just giving us lip service again.

If he eats enough of the crap he’s been dishing out for the last several years, we, as the real conservatives, will listen to him.

And if he does kiss our asses enough that we end up supporting his conservative policies, he still has to win in the general. We conservatives are the best and the heart and soul of this country, but we cannot deliver the country to him alone. McLiarLiarPantsOnFire still has huge issues that he has not been vetted on and the MSM has given him a pass.

He will be a flip flopper. A war monger. An amnesty shill. A old man. His mom is a bigot and his wife is a thief. He will be pushing for the type of justices that scare people. He will also be working with a dem controlled congress and that party is over too.

See, for us real conservatives, this is about values, not vanity like it is for McVanity and his whore moderate/liberal followers.

It is a good article, because it urges:

A conservative who connects with people on the things they care about, and explains why each can and should be addressed by a conservative answer, can win. But it’s the substance of the answer that matters, not the conservative label.

Maybe Limbaugh, Ingraham and their cohorts in the movement need to convince average Americans that conservatism cares about them. Conservatism exists to serve America, not the other way around.

We Conservatives are guilty of resting on our laurels and not teaching how conservative principle DO benefit people in their every day lives. McCain is the presumptive nominee due to a successful “rebranding” effort by the leftmost elites in the Republican party.

Even Rush realized too late that he has to “go back to the basics”; teaching conservatism bit by bit. Speaking for myself, as one who already hold those principles, I don’t blame the moderates for regarding us as arrogant and rigid. I don’t like their taunting, but would they be as strident if they didn’t feel so vindicated? There IS a strong strain of WE KNOW BETTER, GET WITH THE PROGRAM in our rhetoric.

We’ve just gotten a strong rebuke and we had better pay attention. Let’s quit blaming and start teaching.

In the half-hour before Romney’s speech, his supporters were gearing at their booth area for their big moment as Romney was slated to speak at 12:30pm. They grabbed foam “mitts”, noisemakers and signs and marched down to the ballroom where they expected Mitt Romney to give a “fight to the convention” speech. Because security was so tight due to the Vice President’s speech this morning, most headed into ballroom early and listened to Laura Ingraham’s strong defense of conservative values in the face of a McCain nomination and introduction of Romney. They had no idea what they were really going to hear.

Yep. He was already partially booed when the announcer stated that “Romney’s main opponent” was speaking at 3PM.
