Wow, I have the Wall Street Journal helping me make stuff up too? I’m the new Karl Rove… That or McCain really does (or at least did) want regulation of speech on the internet.

But there are some things we like? Seriously, does he have a “benefit” that outweighs the likely damage he’ll cause to Constitutional freedoms?

Internet Expert?

It’s all about him and what he fears people are saying – about him.

O’Reilly: “You can destroy people on those nets.”

This is a repeating theme for Mr. O.

Celebrities destroyed by false accusations in newspapers, magazines, the internet, lawsuits filed by former O’Reilly Factor producers such as Andrea Mackris.

Lacking any real racing skills, Danica is little more than a pretty face and a nice chest on which to place your company’s name. She’s posed for dozens of magazines, made plenty of commercials, and done hundreds of photo ops, all of them playing on her good looks and her athletic body.

Unfortunately for her, her whining about sexism and being looked at differently fall on deaf ears when she makes commercials like the one here.

Yeah, I’m hard on her. I’m hard on her because racing isn’t for pansies. If she can’t run with the big boys, she shouldn’t be on the track.

The fact is, Danica does have racing skills – she has proven that through some very good finishes, including in the Indy 500.

The problem is, she demeans her racing talents, and distracts from that, by doing all the ‘cheesecake’ crap.

I’m not a huge Danica fan, mostly because of her whiny attitude when something goes wrong for her on the track – but also because she takes away any possibility to take her seriously as a driver when she does poses in skimpy bikinis.

The internet ad, while it gave me a chuckle, made me shake my head because it was so corny – and left me saying, “Why are you doing that to yourself?”

Whoever is managing her career is highlighting the wrong things.

OReilly has always been an eccentric independent and we should train him by sending educational email, explaining, thoughtfully, sincerely and simply, by using words of fewer than three syllables, why censorship is wrong.

Isn’t he the big advocate of personal responsibility?

Wait, so we need the government to step in babysit the internet? The same government that can’t pay its phone bill? The same government that can’t protect our borders against invaders? The same government that can’t provide the most basic protections and guarantees to its citizen.

I don’t think we need any laws for the internet and agree on the parenting points. Just pointing out a likely inevitability, paticularly with minors all over the internet and pervs stalking them on sites like myspace.

The commerce portion of the net is where likely laws could come, or regulation. Buying stuff online is hurting small towns on sales tax revenues all over the country. Take Internet Gambling as well, most states have made Gambling Illegal and then comes the internet and you can do it from home anyway. arguably infringing on states rights.

Yeah, you’re right Billy. They will have to pass Federal laws because the next President slated for election is going to likely take another chunk out of free speech. Why can’t he understand that policing the “nets” is the same as gun control or other assaults on the Constitution?
