I took Reid’s response not so much as a statement that agrees with, but as something along the lines of “don’t ask me, here’s what McCain’s own party is saying about him.”

They know McCain’s a loser for the GOP.

Hmmm…. where to go from here? Register as an Independent if McCain clinches… yeah, that’s the ticket. So I honestly don’t care what anyone says that might come back to damage the R front runner since I won’t be an R.

Do you really think bashing Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol as liberals is going to get you anywhere? I could also argue that most of you fall short of real true genuine honest to goodness conservatism, but I really don’t see the need. Too bad you find so much glee in insulting those that are generally on your side. The good news is that apparently there are fewer of you than you think. The conservative movement and the GOP will be just fine.

These people have become like the political form of Calvinist fundamentalists – they spend more time insulting folk on their own side than actually trying to ensure that the GOP wins the election. The Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol are liberals stuff (I’m just waiting for Dennis Prager to be shot too for being too favourable to that ‘Rino’ Rudy) really sucks.

When I listened briefly earlier today, Limbaugh was predicting essentially the same media narrative. First McCain will be fawned over, ensuring that he becomes the nominee. Then his age will be questioned, replete with the printing of as many unflattering photos as possible, and if that doesn’t work, his sanity will be challenged. The only thing I question is the notion that it will happen in sequence–as Harry here demonstrates, it can all happen simultaneously.
