Video: Republican vote in New York suppressed!

Not as egregious as Ken Wheaton’s experience, but close enough. Chuck Simmins e-mailed me earlier, too, to warn that the Paulnut was at the top of the ballot, separated by not one but two empty spaces from everyone else. Exit question: Does this mean Maverick’s margin of victory in this winner-take-all state will amount to less than 30%? Heart-ache. Click the image to watch.

McCain better make some calls like he did in West Virginia.

I’d like to suppress her vote..
The one and only time Id will fall victim male egotism. Wait Laura is on also maybe I will again.
William Amos on February 5, 2008 at 5:11 PM
You know, from a certain angle, I can see how some might find Elizabeth Hasselback attractive.

One word…
Diebold.

You havent voted yet Allah ?
William Amos on February 5, 2008 at 5:16 PM
Nah, it’s a walkover for Maverick.
Allahpundit on February 5, 2008 at 5:17 PM
My vote is being suppressed…here in Texas it looks as though there might very well be no reason to go to the polls. And Elizabeth is quite fetching.
b4itsover on February 5, 2008 at 5:18 PM
It’s not being suppressed its just NY elitists not understanding someone having values, morals, and faith in America instead of blaming America first.

Cue snarky, anti-Elisabeth comment from Deb Schlussel in 5 … 4 … 3 … 2 …
thirteen28 on February 5, 2008 at 5:19 PM
You know I vote in March in Ohio and I will be out there to vote. Not as much for president as for the other candidates.
William Amos on February 5, 2008 at 5:20 PM
We don’t have no republican democrat up in here…
What a maroon…
UncleOlaf on February 5, 2008 at 5:20 PM
It shows.
amerpundit on February 5, 2008 at 5:22 PM
Which is why I can vote the way I want and feel no guilt.
Connie on February 5, 2008 at 5:24 PM
Who the heck is Deb Schlussel?
Shock: I don’t watch The View.
(prepares for an angry mob)

Gee, I wonder if my vote was counted today. CA has had a dismal record of not counting my vote over the last 3 presidential election cycles. I even went down to the voter registrar’s office to clear up the matter, talked to someone in person who said everything was good. Next time I voted I wasn’t on the roll sheet. Yay!
I am disappointed but not unexpectedly, I DO live in a blue state. I heard from Rush this morning that Los Angeles county had problems getting voting equipment out to precincts! Yay Blue state incompetence!

Wouldn’t that be amazing that if Paul were to win NY because of this that it would deny McCain the nomination
ConservativePartyNow on February 5, 2008 at 5:26 PM
Sorry. I don’t do the (moonbat) view. Please tell me again how this relates to the exit question??
locomotivebreath1901 on February 5, 2008 at 5:26 PM
RE: Ken Wheaton’s experience.
Now that’s hilarious, in a gallows humor way.
rockhauler on February 5, 2008 at 5:29 PM
McCain is up big in NY. Not sure if Allah was suggesting if Elizabeth voted for McCain or not.
William Amos on February 5, 2008 at 5:30 PM
This girl is d u m dumb. Dumb.
It embarrasses me as a woman that other XX types actually watch this dreck.

I’m in NY. Old style voting machines. The layout was quite confusing. Dems were on the left, top to bottom. Republicans in the center, top to bottom. Not in a straight line down, many rows skipped. I didn’t notice which Dem held the first box in upper left corner.
I had to search for my man (Voted Romney… there I said it!!)
AverageJoe on February 5, 2008 at 5:51 PM
Derbyshire managed to vote in NY, for the crank he thinks is a conservative.
jp on February 5, 2008 at 5:58 PM
I’m in NYC too. The poll workers were giving me “The Eye” as I pointed out to them that I’m a registered Republican. Despite their rudeness, I managed to vote for Romney.
madame_bluetooth on February 5, 2008 at 6:01 PM
You think.
lowandslow on February 5, 2008 at 6:14 PM
Wearing dreadlocks, I get the Democrat assumption all the time.
The look of disbelief when I ask for a Republican ballot is priceless.
Matter of fact, when I went in to vote today, one of the pollworkers just kept staring at me like I had horns growing out of my head.
Finally, I approached and asked him if there was a problem and he looked down at his voting materials and said sheepishly….”No”
BTW, I voted in Los Angeles and didn’t experience any problems with my ballot.
Easy Peasy.
The Ugly American on February 5, 2008 at 6:16 PM
I vote in Maryland next week, hoping I can still vote for my third choice over my fourth.
Attila (Pillage Idiot) on February 5, 2008 at 6:27 PM
I vote in Ohio in March as well, and as a registered Democrat I simply can not wait to vote against Hillary!
scottm on February 5, 2008 at 6:35 PM
My early (pre-FL) vote in CA for Rudy is now as effective as the proverbial teats on a bull. Oy.
As for the Spew, who cares what those no-lobes say?
melkor on February 5, 2008 at 6:39 PM
.
Yeah, I thought that was a little strange too.
.
There were three unmarked tables at my polling place. I had to stand in line for some time before the lady told me the Republican line was the last table at the end, manned by two teenagers(!).
artlover on February 5, 2008 at 7:20 PM
The thing that struck me about this, is that they all just laughed at it….If one of them would have made the same statements about having trouble voting Democratic – I seriously doubt the mood would have been so gay…
MYounger on February 5, 2008 at 7:24 PM
Went smooth here in MO, no strange looks when I asked for the Republican ballot or anything. And everyone that has been or is still in the race was on the it. Ho Hum!
kahall on February 5, 2008 at 8:26 PM
Many years ago, I was a Dem volunteer in MD then in Chicago. Ken Wheaton’s complaint sounds very familiar. So does the phenomenon of Clinton way overperforming the exit polls.

My 2008 slogan: This election, don’t be a Jackass.
chsw on February 5, 2008 at 9:54 PM
Voted this afternoon never a problem with poll workers as they are to old to give me problems. And the younger ones are scared of me just like I like it
limowilliam on February 5, 2008 at 11:51 PM
I get this in San Antonio (when I’m out of Austin, and not writing in from Singapore), from time to time: “We don’t have any Democrat Republicans up in this joint”.
Hello? I’m from Wyoming! I have no idea what you just said to me!
In any case: I can just write in Dick Cheney. He’ll kick their ass on my behalf…
Cipherprime on February 6, 2008 at 12:31 AM
Same thing happened to me yesterday (in MO), with my vote still on the screen. He didn’t try to use the touchscreen or anything, but still. Unsettling.
