Hillary Clinton. The reasoning that led to Mr. Cent’s endorsement is…nuanced.

Jim Caviezel, A.K.A. Jesus, couldn’t get me to vote for a Democrat.
MyImamToldMeToDoIt on February 5, 2008 at 6:09 PM
For those who missed my comment earlier – this “they might kill him” crap is in the front of the black voter’s mind. Thank you liberals for turning black minds to mush.
So as a black conservative who votes Republican, I conclude that the best thing that could happen for black Americans is for Obama to loose to Clinton.
I think that when black voters finally start listen to what conservative Republicans are saying – they will “respect our gangsta”.
Agrippa2k on February 5, 2008 at 6:10 PM
Who exactly is that?
MyImamToldMeToDoIt on February 5, 2008 at 6:12 PM
Correct. For example, Michael Steele.
amerpundit on February 5, 2008 at 6:12 PM
Who thinks that ole BillO will call him a pinhead to his face. He and some others have fallen into a pattern of minimizing the thoughts and opinions of people of color.
Why then do Republicans and/or conservatives complain about the lack of minority votes. There is your answer. No respect. People of color are not stupid. They do not have to vote for a candidate that shares his/her religion, gender, race. These lessons will be learned some day, but it will be too late.
By the way Chuck Old Dirty Bastard has been dead for years. (I hope that was your point)
sandman on February 5, 2008 at 6:13 PM
Fitty scent – America not ready for a Black president because they might kill him.
Who are they fitty? The brothers cause he’s not black enough?
Kini on February 5, 2008 at 6:15 PM
Hmmm…If Obama is elected he might be assassinated. Voting for Obama places his life in danger.
Now I see: OBAMA SUPPORTERS ARE RACISTS!
John from WuzzaDem on February 5, 2008 at 6:17 PM
BECAUSE WE HAVE FAILED (conservative Republicans). We have let the liberals/Democrats carry the minority/poverty ball for TOO LONG.
I get it. The lib/dems are so loud and passionate about minorities and the poor, surely they will solve the problems. Surely they want to. They are Americans right? Wrong.
Socialism is what they care about. They want to solve the problems their way, forget the right way. And forget those they claim to care about.

I’m sure Mrs. Clinton will be happy to see she nabbed the vote of such a successful artist. An example of this man’s fine work:
I happen to think line three pretty much nails down Bill’s philosophy.
malan89 on February 5, 2008 at 6:21 PM
Ahhh the dhimmo-crats embracing the victimology culture.
Even though Monty Python’s father of the bride sez “Lets mot argue about ooo killed ooo” I seem to recall that blacks are their own worst enemy, murder-wise…
melkor on February 5, 2008 at 6:22 PM
No, 50 cents is four bits. (It comes from the time of dubloons, when they were divided into eight pieces, “pieces of eight”. Two of them make a quarter, and so forth. This is why, until recently, the New York (New Amsterdam) Stock Exchange dealt in 1/8 points.
But, his opinion can still be a two-bit one…
Tzetzes on February 5, 2008 at 6:30 PM
It pains me to say this, but black folks are stupid. Most Americans are. Especially young people.
Our problem is that Socialism sounds great to stupid people (def. slow to learn). Without the facilities to comprehend America’s complex success, we will always have this problem.
With libs/dems promoting ignorance, we can only hope (have faith) that experience (age) will tip the balance. Those big screens with big brother from 1984 are sounding kinda good about now.
Agrippa2k on February 5, 2008 at 6:30 PM

That’s kinda funny, John from WuzzaDem. Not Very.
They are thoughts, nonetheless. Worth no less than the thoughts of politicos, like Chuck Norris.
sandman on February 5, 2008 at 6:34 PM
Call me classless if you like, but the facts, unfortunately, are on my side. Fitty’s a Victi-crat and hypocrite.
Here’s a rapper, who profits by promoting gun violence, which is almost exclusively directed at blacks, by blacks. He posits that the MAN is going to be offing Obama, somehow.
melkor on February 5, 2008 at 6:47 PM
And, you thought, my “rabid dog” comment was borderline?
franksalterego on February 5, 2008 at 6:51 PM
Don’t worry about trollmaster crr6… He’s just a classic liberal who wants to whine like a baby instead of deal with hard statistics… in this case you are 100% accurate, because black on black violence is well documented… As is black gun crimes against whites while we’re at it. Someone like crr6 considers it racists to acknowledge these realities.
RightWinged on February 5, 2008 at 6:58 PM
And that, my friends, is the desired product of the white progressive establishment’s racial narrative.
Hiney Von Pewps on February 5, 2008 at 7:19 PM
That’s cockus.
jukin on February 5, 2008 at 7:30 PM
Lincoln was killed in office, as was Kennedy. Ronald Reagan had an attempt on his life. This “he might be assassinated” crap is a
redblack herring. The prevalence of “ballers” aka capitalists in rap makes me wonder why there isn’t a Republican HipHopPAC. The one rapper who I think actually would make a good spokesperson for the Republican party is Ice Cube.
There goes the party.

unlike white-on-white violence
***
The fact is that intraracial violence is the norm.
Another glaring fact is that blacks are disproportionately represented in crime stats. That is, there are too many black criminals for anybody to ignore.
Some people will attribute this to race, others to poverty, others blame hip-hop culture. The cause is moot. The cure is clear education, hard time and our collective reparative diligence. Corporal punishment in the schools wouldn’t hurt either.
There are many who cite black crime stats in order to draw a contrast between white and black culture. The best remedy for that is to visit Orange County, San Bernardino or similar lockups. I have sheriff’s deputies, PDs and a prosecutor in the family. There are plenty of white criminals to complain about; meth is the new crack.
Wake up, most criminals don’t see race. They see victims.

(Truther hat) Hmmm I think he was actually threatening Obama. (/Truther Hat)
- The Cat
MirCat on February 5, 2008 at 9:21 PM
You know TRC, I heard the same argument even when Alan Keyes was doing well several cycles ago. My black neighbor back then even told me that he was excited about a black president, but he didn’t think America was ready for it.
What 50 cent said is a common attitude among blacks. There are blacks that think not voting for Obama is protecting him – SERIOUSLY.
Actually, I can see where they are coming from. It only takes one hateful individual to act on their prejudices. Was Kennedy assassinated because he was Catholic? We’ll never know. As horrifying as it seems it is certainly possible that race might be a factor in an assassination plot where it wouldn’t be if it was a white guy.
If the ticket was Obama/Hillary with Hillary as the VP, conspiracy theorists will abound at a plot hatched from the Clinton camp complete with a racist assassin to allow Clinton to become president. I wouldn’t have Clinton as my VP in a million years.

I think Mr. Fiddy should stop drinking “Da bong water”.
Claypigeon on February 5, 2008 at 9:31 PM
Who cares? Go Hillary (for a couple more months).
funky chicken on February 5, 2008 at 9:34 PM
You are correct. Blacks do engage in political pathology sometimes. I think Fiddy is being just as thoughtless as anybody else who posits this theory as a reason to vote for or against someone. THAT type of thought represents the height of victimhood. Don’t rock the boat. Don’t upset the massah. Here’s the deal: If you are afraid for our President, then push for tougher anti-terror legislation; be more patriotic. Protect him.
This meme about protecting a black candidate really started out as a comedy routine. It’s as common among black comedians as jokes about leaving the seat up are among women.
Personally, I believe that any POTUS is at risk today. We have no real idea about the depth to which we’ve been infected nationally by terrorists. Being black might be an added layer of Kevlar against the myriad factions who want a white POTUS dead.
Also, my President better have the sack to deal with being a target. And blacks better start engaging fully in the political process and stop forwarding chickenshit excuses for refraining.
The Race Card on February 5, 2008 at 10:00 PM
Then we’re in agreement – I could give a rat’s ass what Chuck Norris thinks, either.
John from WuzzaDem on February 5, 2008 at 10:11 PM
I would be in a much happier mood today if J. C. Watts was running for President.
Or even Michael Steele of Maryland would be great.

I bet it was them apple bottom jeans.
bloggless on February 5, 2008 at 11:01 PM
Not to stray from the point, but Kennedy was assasinated because he was an anticommunist.
Hiney Von Pewps on February 5, 2008 at 11:30 PM
I would also like to express my sentiment that I would love to vote for a Conservative Black Candidate…if Clarence Thomas ever decides to run for President, and I got my U.S. Citzenship, I would be proud to vote for him…or J.C. Watts…or Larry Elder..or Angela McGowan…or Janice Rogders etc etc
But it will be a cold day in hell that I would vote for a radical nut like Obama…his color or anyone’s color should never be the issue…the FACT that the man is dangerously radical left should give all American’s pause before ever thinking to vote for him….
Albertanator on February 5, 2008 at 11:57 PM
As another republican leaning black American let me try to explain. There are large, fairly organized, fairly well armed white supremacist groups still in existance in America. Obama would surely have a target on him, just as any POTUS does… his would just be a bit bigger.
The absurd thing here isn’t the thought that Obama would have a (slightly enlarged) target on him if he became president. What’s absurd is to use this as a reason not to vote for him. It’s especially rediculous comming from a guy who promotes a gun toating, drug slinging, tail and benjamin chasing lifestyle which surely leads to the rapid destruction of so many lives with absolutely nothing gained by those who are “fortunate” enough to survive.
Now that’s classy.

Let’s just ignore his whole complimenting Bush thing from a year or 2 back.. Far as 50 Cent goes, for some reason I find him far less.. dislikable than the average pop-thug corporate rap stereotypes.. I’ll figure out why one day.
*bookmarks thread just to see if someone eventually starts calling JFK a communist*
Hotair is, after all, full of delightful suprises.
